Abstract:Germany is a leading country in bioenergy development.This article introduces the current utilization,market shares and future outlooks of bioenergy in Germany from solid fuel,bio-fuel and biogas,at the same time,it analyzes the related laws and regulations,subsidy systems,tax mechanisms and import policies which promote the research and application of bioenergy in Germany,and finally summarizes the government-driven bioenergy research and development arrangements in Germany.

Abstract:This study addresses a significant gap by investigating the environmental impacts of Germany's pioneering energy transition ("Energiewende") over 1973–2022. Motivated by the need to inform global low-carbon policymaking through empirical evidence, it leverages robust econometric techniques to evaluate the ecological outcomes of this national strategy spanning five decades. By utilizing the Load Capacity Factor (LCF) metric encompassing both resource demand and ecosystem replenishment capacity dynamics, the analysis offers a nuanced assessment of income-energy-environment interlinkages during this transition. It examines the impacts of nuclear, fossil fuel and renewable energy consumption on Germany's LCF amidst the Energiewende's structural changes. While the U-shaped income-ecology relationship posited under the Load Capacity Curve (LCC) hypothesis is invalidated over the period. However, renewables exhibit positive environmental effects, increasing Germany's LCF 0.03% annually and validating their role for sustainable transitions. In contrast, fossil fuels substantially reduce LCF, underscoring the need for restrictions. Nuclear's negligible impact suggests its gradual phase-out is feasible. Thus, evidence strongly advocates expanding renewables and limiting fossil fuel use to progress Germany's decarbonization objectives. Although contextual factors constrain generalizability, insights from the complex transitions underway in industrial economies like Germany remain vital for global policymaking. As nations craft balanced strategies to align economic, energy and environmental priorities, this timely analysis illuminates viable pathways.

Abstract:This paper reviews the development of renewable energy in Germany from 1973 to 2003. It investigates the relative importance of energy policy and green power marketing in shaping the renewable energy market. More than a decade of consistent policy support for renewables under the feed-in law (StrEG) and its successor (EEG) has been an important driver for increasing renewable electricity generation to date, putting the country in a better position than most of its peers when it comes to achieving European Union targets for renewable energy. Green power marketing driven by customer demand, on the other hand, is growing, but has had limited measurable impact so far. We discuss potential intangible benefits of green power marketing and scenarios for future market development. The paper concludes with lessons that can be learned from the German case for policy design and market development in other countries.

Abstract:The interplay between climate protection and energy security issues in Germany is examined using an ecological modernisation (EM) framework. The central concerns are with the country’s policy response to energy security and climate problems, and how this shapes Germany’s international aspirations. Since Germany’s conventional energy mix is simultaneously ‘dirty’ and import intensive, the answer to both challenges lies in ‘greening’ the energy system, i.e. reducing demand through energy efficiency and basing energy supply on domestically available renewables. Thus, energy security goes hand in hand with climate protection. As for Germany’s international aspirations, energy transformation is economically and ecologically feasible only if accompanied by comparable efforts internationally. Besides helping climate protection, international eco-policies lead to an economic level playing field so that (energy-intensive) losers have less reason to resist EM and environmental industries benefit. Germany, therefore, remains a strong proponent of international climate policies.

Abstract:This year major consuming countries have introduced a series of policies to diversify the energy mix and enhance energy self-sufficiency. Japan published a new "Energy White Paper", abolishing the "zero-nuclear target", and actively promoting energy diversification to reduce LNG import pressure. Russia unveiled policies to increase energy efficiency, and aims to develop gas-fueled vehiclesto digest its abundant gas resources. Due to rapid growth in shale oil and tight oil, the US's external dependence on oil dipped below 40%. If Russia's "Energy Productivity Plan" and "Emission Reduction Plan" are implemented smoothly, self-sufficiency will be further enhanced. The European Union has continuously implemented its "CleanFuel Strategy", striving to develop infrastructure for it.Meanwhile, many European countries will keep nuclear. By increasing the price of natural gas, enhancing the efficiency of natural gas and developing shale gas, India is promoting the development of gas resources, which constitutes the"2030 Energy Independence Strategy". These policies show the ways chosen by the consuming countries to ensure energy security, and will also affect the development trend in the energy market. However, some polices may not be practical.Consuming countries' governments need more effective measures to guarantee the success of the energy strategies.

Abstract:Faced with mounting energy and environmental challenges, the EU released a new energy policy plan (Energy Policy for Europe [EPE]) at the beginning of 2007. The plan requires renewable energy to account for 20% of Europe's total energy consumption by 2020, along with at least a 20% improvement in energy efficiency and a biofuel ratio of 10% in transportation. In order to realize these objectives, the EU released a "2007-2009 European Commission Energy Action Plan." Its main content is as follows: the establishment of a unified natural gas and electricity market in the EU to guarantee a secure and stable energy supply; the implementation of a comprehensive international energy strategy; improvements in energy efficiency and greater utilization of nuclear energy; the study of new-energy technology and the development of green energy. The European commission recently released a new energy policy legislation proposal, in which it is suggested that energy superpowers should be divided and foreign acquisition limited; there will be restrictions on the acquisition of energy transmission networks in the EU by enterprises from a third country; the independence of energy administration institutions in the member states will be strengthened and secured. China faces the same challenges as the EU in sustainable energy development; accordingly, it should study Europe's example so as to formulate better energy policies and regulations.

Abstract:Conversion and interconnection of multiple energies has become the main energy development form in China. In this paper, typical feature and basic framework are proposed based on summary of three different development ideas of Energy Internet. Then, operating experience of Energy Internet projects in Germany is analyzed from perspectives of goal setting, physical structure, management strategy, actual results, etc. Moreover, their enlightenment to China is also summarized in detail. Finally, key technologies and implementation roadmap of Energy Internet construction in China are presented based on advanced technologies and current energy situation.

Abstract:Policymakers are tasked with both driving the rapid expansion of renewable energy technologies and, additionally channelling the limited national potential of biomass into areas where it can provide the greatest benefit to the energy system. But do current policy instruments promote the use of biomass in these areas? As biomass is limited, its use must be sustainable without leading to further biodiversity loss or depleting forest or soil resources. In this study, short-term energy scenarios are generated using the BenOpt model, which take into account both current and alternative policy instruments under limited biomass utilisation. The results are compared with long-term, cost-optimal energy scenarios for the use of biomass.

Abstract:The EU's new energy policy plays an important role in ensuring energy security. The new energy policy has new formulation and new features,such as raising the proportion of renewable energy,increasing income and reducing expenditure,escaping from its dependence on imported fuels,limiting the monopoly,restricting a third country's mergers etc. The EU stresses that energy security and environmental protection are inextricably linked. A new EU energy policy on the characteristics of the cognitive development of China's energy policy and energy security strategy is instructive.Energy policy must take into account the sustainable development,and the security of energy supply can not be guaranteed simply by expanding the supply of energy sources and increasing energy supply.China's status of energy consumption and position in the international energy market shows that we must take the concept of energy-saving and environmental protection into the heart of energy policy.

Abstract:The article presents a comprehensive study of the energy strategies of both countries, aimed at achieving their goals by 2050. A literature review presents global trends in energy policy, the current situation in Poland and Germany, and the importance of sustainable energy. For Poland and Germany, the current situation, goals, and strategies for 2050 are described, and the results of surveys carried out using a survey questionnaire are presented. A comparative analysis included a comparison of the goals and strategies of both countries and the results of surveys, presented in tabular form. This analysis drew conclusions regarding the differences and similarities in the approach of both countries to energy policy. The "Challenges and Prospects" section identifies potential challenges and presents opportunities and recommendations for the future. In conclusion, the article provides a thorough analysis, based on the methodology of a literature review, survey questionnaire, and tabular analysis, and contains important conclusions and implications for energy policy in Poland and Germany. The article also addresses the limitations of the study that may affect the interpretation of the results.

Abstract:Various characteristics of the Chinese energy system have contributed to inefficient energy use. In recent years, severe energy shortages in China and rising international concerns over green-house gas emissions have sparked greater interest in efforts to promote energy conservation and reduce China's currently high levels of energy waste. This paper briefly presents the results of a series of long-term energy and carbon emissions scenarios for China. Based on these results, this paper then identifies the following policy options and measures as the most effective means for improving the efficiency of energy use in China; re-adjusting the structure of China's economy, improving China's energy pricing system and improving the efficiencies of China's energy-generating and end-use technologies.
