Effects of Initial Solidification Structure on Microstructure, Texture and Formability of Cr17 Ferritic Stainless Steel

Abstract:The effects of initial solidification structure on microstructure and texture and formability of Cr17 ferritic stainless steel were investigated.Equiaxed and columnar grain slabs were hot rolled,annealed,cold rolled and annealed.The major results can be summarized as follows: ① The recrystallization rate of equiaxed-HR band is higher than that of columnar-HR band.② Equiaxed-CRA shows weaker {001}∥ND texture but stronger {111}∥ND texture and a higher rm in comparison with columnar-CRA.
