Advanced Manufacturing Enable Techniques in Global Manufacturing Environment

Abstract:The globalization of Manufacturing Environment is the inexorable trend for manufacturing industry to develop. The global agile manufacturing system (GAMS) will be an important manufacturing mode in the 21-st century. The enable techniques for GAMS are discussed, which include organizational mode of dynamic alliance enterprise, the dynamic partner relations between alliance enterprises, and the group decision support system for dynamic alliance, the management techniques, the organization and operation techniques for the dynamic alliance. The distributed design and manufacturing techniques are discussed, which include product digital modeling techniques and product digital definition, distribute digital assembly techniques, digital design for technological equipment, virtual manufacturing and simulation techniques for the manufacturing processes, computer support cooperation workspace and so on. The information integration techniques as well as the product developing procedure management techniques are discussed, which include STEP information integration based on INTERNET techniques, distribution product data management, information integration based on distribution object architecture and networks support infrastructure for global manufacturing environment. Research on product development process is discussed, which includes product development process modeling and process analysis, simulation tools, product development process management and so on.
