Abstract:AbstrcatHead-lamp is a necessary electric equipment of vehicle. This article presents the inspecting points and zones in photometric measurement of motor vehicle head-lamps. A new fast testing method is introduced. This method uses a suit of detectors, improves the measuring speed and keeping the precision. The whole system contains software and hardware. It's a system combines mechanism, circuitry and computer. The article gives the principle of this test system and the structure of every part.

Abstract:With the continuous increasing of traffic speed,it has a direct impact on vehicle traffic safety whether the car lights can work normally.The deficiencies of traditional lighting systems in process were analyzed in details.According to the safety standards and requirements of lights,a new type of light detector which selected photosensitive transistors as sensitive components was designed.The hardware circuit of lights detector was designed according to whether there is current in the circuit,and the circuit schematics of the lights was drawn,and last the parameters of selected components were comprehensively calculated and analyzed.The detector can detect brake lights,turn signal,taillights of failure.The driver in cab can easily find the fault of lights after installing the detector,thus avoiding getting off to check the lights.

Abstract:The safe testing of vehicle headlamps is an important factor of safe driving. On the premise of achieving the intention of the safe testing, people now are searching for new means with celerity, high efficiency and succinctness. Along with the wide using of the devices, such as charge coupled device, it is a good method that is ecomomical and practical to use the CCD and video collection card as a group. To compare the image obtained by the CCD with the standard image we can get the position differences between the two images to rectify the light figure according to the standard one.

Abstract:The development and innovation of lighting equipments not only helps designers of illuminating on the scene have more choices,achieve better lighting effects,but also substantially increases the comprehensive energy efficiency of lighting equipments.However,The development and innovation of every kind of product not only bring all the advantages,sometimes also bring some shortcomings or even some obvious shortcomings of the hidden dangers.Based on this,the standards of lighting electrical products also will be continuously modified,enriched and improved.Some new testing requirements and devices of lighting equipments have come into being.The author mainly introduces the test devices for high-voltage pulse of ignitor,testing devices for pulse of ballasts for lamps with overall activating devices and testing devices for the partial rectification of pulse of electronic ballast for fluorescent lamps,for reference.

Abstract:To meet the requirements of light duty vehicle regulation test and research emission test, host computer system was developed. Hardware was designed based on virtual instrument architecture. Software was designed with unified modeling language. Function of data acquisition, flow control and data processing for light duty vehicle bag sampling, continuous dilution sampling and direct sampling were realized. Application in practice showed that the system, with all-around testing performance, reliable control and exact data, is fit for exhaust tests on light gasoline or diesel vehicles.

Abstract:A transient emission measurement system with VMAS is set up. The advantages, components and theory of VMAS are introduced. Twenty tests were made when the experimental vehicle was running in the best emission condition. In this paper, the system's stability is discussed based on test results. The VMAS' stability is great, and the data detected with VMAS can reflect the real situation of vehicle emissions. Then the importances are discussed about adoption the VMAS testing method for emission inspection of in-use petrol vehicles in China.

Abstract:A control and signal processing system is designed and implemented for fault detection of cab electric circuit in various types of vehicles.The acquisition,input and processing of analogue and digital signals and the simulation on sensor signals of cab instruments are realized for different detected objects of cab electric circuit respectively.Databases for cab electric circuit and its detecting results are also set up for real time display and subsequent inquiry,including remote inquiry by intranet.The trial operation on cab production line shows that the system functions stable and reliable.

Abstract:To fulfill the needs of electrical test for small-satellite,an automatic test system for small-satellite is designed.To advance the system performance,the test modules are designed as individual units,and open bus is used in motherboard.Then,to ensure the real-time performance of the system,embedded computer with VxWorks system is adopted as control module,and the data in system is transmitted by LVDS with 10Mbit/s.This system has been applied in the test of small-satellite.

Abstract:Based on the microcontroller C8051F340, a roadway test system was designed for motor vehicle's longitudinal performance testing, such as acceleration and braking performances. The sensing device was comprised of GPS system, braking switcher, steering angle sensor and combined sensor, etc. The last two sensors were selected from vehicle electronic stability control system ( ESP ), which offer CAN (Controller Area Network) interface and all the data update frequency was 100 Hz. The GPS device's data update frequency is only 1 Hz, but its accuracy of speed measurement is 0.1 km/h. In order to get the precise travel distance and 100 Hz speed information, a data fusion algorithm was employed based on the speed information from GPS and the vehicle longitudinal acceleration information from the combined sensor. These sensors were selected according to the requirements of the laws and regulations of vehicle performance test. All the sensors' interface protocol, system hardware design, microcontroller and portable computer's program design were introduced in detail. Finally, a confirmatory road test was conducted to verify the system’s correctness and reliability. With those advantages of low cost, expandable interface (CAN bus) and moderate accuracy, the designed system can offer an advanced test platform for the research of vehicle braking and acceleration performances.

Abstract:Suitable testbeds can facilitate and accelerate the development of intelligent traffic systems. In this paper, we propose a testbed for testers to validate their intelligent traffic light control programs at pedestrian crossings on a road. Our testbed involves 6 elements: the road, pedestrian crossings, vehicles, pedestrians, traffic light control programs, and the simulator. Testers can input multiple parameters to simulate different road conditions. Given the traffic light controls programs, our testbed conducts the simulation and provides visualised performance measures including the waiting time of vehicles and pedestrians. Also, to reflect the the lifetime cost of vehicle brake systems, our testbed measures how many times vehicles stop. We conducted a case study with two traffic light control programs. The results show that the design and implementation of our testbed is feasible and efficient in practical simulations.

Abstract:Highway tunnel lighting equipment, as an important equipment to ensure traffic safety in highway tunnel, has some problems in its production, installation, commissioning and operation, such as low intelligence degree and weak man machine interaction operation. On the basis of studying the existing test methods of highway tunnel lighting equipment, this paper designs an improved test process and method of highway tunnel lighting equipment, builds a cloud management platform for test data, realizes the automatic test of highway tunnel lighting equipment by using remote client combined with Ethernet, realizes the intellectualization of test process and the standardization of test data. The database and background management software deployed on the remote server can realize the classified management of many kinds of test data. The system can improve the testing efficiency of lighting equipment for the highway tunnel lighting equipment production enterprises, and improve the management efficiency and quality for the highway tunnel lighting management department.

Abstract:To solve the deficiency existing in the original on-board measurement system of a test vehicle,a new on-board measurement system is presented based on CAN bus.By analyzing the existing CAN bus application level protocol of the test vehicle,CAN bus application level protocol of a new on-board measurement system is obtained from test,and relevant interface circuit is implemented.The designed measurement system fully utilizes the existing CAN bus signal of the test vehicle and uses CANcardXL data acquisition card and CANoe software to realize in-phase data acquisition of the test vehicle and the exterior CAN bus.Validity of the new measurement system is proved by road test.
