Abstract:In this paper an intellectualized and integrated testing system of FM broadcast is devised and exploited to satisfy with the requirement of digital video broadcast development.Using high speed DSP processing system,it realizes automatic testing of eleven running technology indexes according to different configuration of system,such as the frequency response of broadcast transmitter,distortion degree,SNR,and so on.the real testing results show that the technology indexes of the system achieve domestic one-up level.What′s more,the repeating quality and reliability is favorable.
A Transmission Scheme of the Advanced Digital Television Broadcasting System

Abstract:With the co-efforts from Zhejiang University,Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Xidian Universi-ty,a transmission scheme of the Advanced Digital Television Broadcasting System(ADTB)is presented in this paper.The simulated system functions and performance are superior to that of international DTV transmission standards.A stable fixed,portable and even mobile reception of large volume broadcasting data can be attained with a consumer grade tuner and various modulation modes.The scheme is also designed to support SFN and on-channel repeater functions,to incorporate efficient digital cable transmission modes,and to be easily compatible with some foreign standards.The presented scheme is one of the ideal candidates of DTV broadcasting standards being defined in our country.[

Abstract:A new design of the digital broadcast system based on 3G means of transmission and a cloud computing is proposed to replace the traditional one, which has such disadvantages as the coverage restriction, the high covering and maintenance costs, frangibility to interference and poor capacity of emergency information dissemination. Consisting of three parts including the broadcast control platform, the control and the receiving terminal, the new system uses the 3G network infrastructure of Telecom to achieve grouping and fixed broadcasting, thus solving the urgent broadcasting issues in emergency. Experiments have shown that this system owns many advantages, such as resource pool, elastic supply, simplified terminal and rapid deployment.

Abstract:There is a worldwide impact to the TV broadcasting and consumer electronics industries starting from the decision of the FCC, of which the transition period of SDTV to digital will be completed in the year of 2006. The digital television era seems to be arriving earlier than that has ever been expected. How to face the challenge of this new era is a serious concern of the industries at present. The VSB transmission system is accepted for terrestrial broadcasting of DTV in the US. As a counterpart, the COFDM system is accepted for DVB. It is natural of interested to investigate these two transmission schemes and compare the performance and the methods of implementation. The simulation results of their performance are presented and a comparison of the hardware implementations is included
Development of Wireless Network Indoor Coverage System Based on Optical Fiber Distribution System

Abstract:With the continuous development of network communication technology, the domestic network has covered the homes of ordinary people, but the indoor coverage system of the network cable network needs to be further improved. The optical fiber distribution system is a signal coverage system integrating GSM, TD-SCDMA, and other standards. It is mainly composed of system access unit, system expansion unit, and system remote unit. Wireless network is an important communication technology, which is easy to use and can be connected wirelessly over long distances. The purpose of this paper is to study an optical fiber distribution system for indoor coverage design of wireless networks, so as to achieve faster and more efficient coverage. In this paper, a wireless network signal processing algorithm is proposed, and a systematic method for designing the wireless network indoor coverage of the optical fiber distribution system is proposed, and the algorithms are compared and tested. The test results in this paper show that the signal strength obtained by the algorithm in this paper is -54.83 dB, while the traditional artificial design algorithm is only -45.97 dB. In addition, the wireless network base point of the algorithm in this paper is also 3 lower than the traditional one. Moreover, the coverage rate achieved by the algorithm in this paper is 3.17% higher than that of the network cable network base point layout given by the genetic algorithm, and the average received signal strength is 3.34 dB higher. In addition, the algorithm in this paper takes 9.1 s, 11.2 s, and 5.3 s for the three scenarios of underground parking lot, large shopping mall, and residential residential area, while the traditional manual design algorithm takes 87.9 s, 108.8 s, and 51.7 s, respectively. The algorithm in this paper is only about 1/10 of the traditional artificial design algorithm. Therefore, it can be concluded that the coverage effect of the wireless network indoor coverage system of the optical fiber distribution system designed in this paper is significantly improved.

Abstract:Rapid increase of large-scale high-rise structures results in three-dimensional distribution of wireless traffic, and thus raises a new demand of three-dimensional coverage of the common control signals in cellular mobile communication networks. The control approach of three-dimensional coverage is investigated in this paper, based on planar array of macro basestation and three-dimensional beamforming technology. A novel algorithm is proposed for obtaining the excitation weight matrix of planar array. Coverage requirement is extracted according to the target coverage distances and the actual landforms in different directions, and then mapped into an anisotropic desired array pattern. The optimization model is established as a joint minimization of array pattern design error and transmission power. An approximately optimal tradeoff coefficient and the corresponding weight matrix are solved through iteration. Numerical results validate that the proposed algorithm has the advantages of excellent coverage performance, considerable saving of transmission power and effective suppression of inter-cell interference.

Abstract:A test method based on remote automatic control for digital TV signal receiver is proposed in this paper.Then,many important informations are introduced,such as the test system based on PC platform,Ethernet,R&S-SFU.It also includes the driver based on LAN interface,NI-VISA standard API,SCPI commands,and the automatic test program based on the driver.Research shows that this method could be a simple,fast,accurate,efficient,flexible choice for performance test of digital TV signal receiver.

Abstract:The organization and distribution of information in secondary system of intelligent substation is so complex that it is almost impossible to use traditional test approach to identify the drawbacks.A novel panoramic test method based on wireless time synchronization technology is presented and the corresponding system is developed.The proposed system performs debugging test of intelligent substation secondary system under steady-state and transient state based on numerical simulation of power network,distributed injection of synchronized signals,wireless time synchronization and data transmission,etc. Total design of the test system and implement scheme of wireless synchronization technology is described.And accuracy of synchronization has been verified.The developed system has been applied to the test of many intelligent substations under construction.It shows that the proposed approach improves the integrity and the efficiency of the test,achieving better test results.

Abstract:Wireless network planning is a key component for TD-LTE system deployment. In this paper, we investigate the wireless network planning method for a railway TD-LTE system. This evaluation is based on an actual TD-LTE system deployment for Shuohuang railway and includes frequency planning, network capacity prediction, wireless network coverage planning and cell planning. The corresponding Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) and throughput of the Railway TD-LTE System are further evaluated by Atoll network planning software, to validate the rationality for wireless network planning in such scenarios.

Abstract:A real-time testbed based on the technology of software radio is adopted to efficiently evaluate cutting-edge technologies in wireless communications, and thus becomes a valuable tool for both academic research and system prototyping. In this article we describe a software radio testbed, established in the software radio laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology, used to implement a physical layer similar to IEEE 802.11a space-time coded orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing. The testbed consists of a 2 x 2 multiple-input multiple-output configuration with powerful digital signal processor chains, high-speed data exchange interfaces, and many advanced subsystem modules, such as high-speed high-resolution analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, digital up/downconverters, and wideband RF transmit and receive front-ends with synchronous channels and programmable settings. The design methodology and implementation for key algorithms, such as time, sampling, and frequency synchronization, and channel estimation and compensation are discussed. The experimental data obtained from a typical indoor environment demonstrates that the prototype is capable of providing 30 Mb/s peak data rate, operating at the central frequency of 2.435 GHz with a spectral occupancy of 6.25 MHz. Spatial-temporal diversity gain associated with space-time coding is verified by the experimental results.

Abstract:The coverage performance for Digital Television/ Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting-Advance system and 3GPP “Further evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service”, long-term evolution-based broadcasting system defined by release 16 (R16) with different working parameters has been evaluated through the field trial in Shenzhen with a focus on high-speed mobility car with reasonably high spectrum efficiency. The trial uses the same transmitter facility of same the RF hardware, at the same frequency and with the same power. Results show that terrain is major deterministic factor for coverage performance for each system and well-designed longer time-interleaver for R16 is indispensable to users' satisfaction under this application scenario.

Abstract:This study introduces a wireless scheme to solve the coverage problem in carriages of Chinese High Speed Railway (CRH) trains. In the proposed scheme, digital TV programs can be retransmitted by CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting) transmitters after being transmitted from the base stations to the trains. The in-car channel profile is analyzed and presented. And the modified linear minimum mean-square error (LMMSE) algorithm proposed by Zheng is adopted to estimate the channel in the CMMB receiver with 2MHz bandwidth. Simulation shows that the CMMB receiver has good reception performance and the proposed broadcasting coverage scheme is feasible.

Abstract:The whole-view test method for smart substation is a new test approach in which data transmission and time synchronization are implemented with wireless communication.This paper proposes a new time synchronization method based on wireless local area networks(WLAN) to satisfy the demand of synchronized triggering of data and time labeling in the system.The proposed method is implemented by integrating IEEE 1588 precise time protocol and IEEE 802.11 WLAN standard considering the specialty of transmission mechanism and data link in wireless communication,thus current available time synchronization method is improved.Simulation result shows that the precision of wireless time synchronization can be improved up to ±10 μs.

Abstract:In this paper,the feasibility of mobile communication signal indoor coverage system via CATV cable transmission is theoretically analyzed first.Two key components,wideband combiner and passive splitter terminal,are produced using low temperature co-fired ceramic devices.Finally,the rationality and economy of this indoor coverage solution is verified after a number of experiments.A new way for a variety of wireless communication signals indoor covering is provided by this scheme.

Abstract:In this study, an ultra-high frequency antenna for TV white space devices (TVWSDs) is designed, fabricated and systematically tested. In addition to its radiation efficiency validation using a novel measurement approach, system performance of the antenna is comprehensively studied by integrating it onto different platforms, including a wideband spectrum monitor and a wireless communication client, and testing under realistic scenarios. The performance comparison with a commercial antenna is also performed to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the in house-developed antenna. Overall practical and real-time performance evaluations show that the in-house developed antenna is a strong contender for TVWSDs.

Abstract:The design of High Speed Railway Television (HSRT) system is presented in this paper. The system mainly includes two aspects, the coverage network and the modulation/demodulation technique. We suggest the deployment of HSRT single frequency network (SFN) taking GSM-R as reference and Advanced Digital Television Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ADTB-T) as demodulation technique (it is why HSRT is also called ADTB-R). Moreover, to ensure the reliable work of ADTB-T under the special environment of HSRT-SFN, directional coverage diversity receiving technique are proposed to simplify the equivalent channel model. The validity of this scheme is verified by theoretical analysis and also laboratory tests. The experimental network including the trial testing environment and equipment which constitute the network infrastructure of HSRT-SFN are described. The trial test results are presented to verify the validity of the network design which based on the directional coverage and diversity receiver. The test results accord with the theoretical analysis and prove that the HSRT-SFN is well suited for the special application of high speed railway television.

Abstract:A method is proposed about the design of a novel wireless narrow-band communication system.The method is based on digital source coding and digital channel coding.The method employs techniques such as two-point modulation and second modulation,which is compatible with the standard of Digital Private Mobile Radio(DPMR).The method is implemented through research and development.The result of experiments shows that the receiving sensitivity of the system reaches -110 dBm.The system can meet the demands of long-distance voice communication or long-distance data communication with medium or low bit rate.

Abstract:The rapid growth of traffic data in mobile networks has led to a shortage in spectrum resources and a significant increase in energy consumption.In order to solve these problems,hyper-cellular networks provide dynamic sleep and resource scheduling schemes for base stations through careful separation of control coverage and traffic coverage,thus greatly improving network spectral and energy efficiency.However,how to separate network control coverage and traffic coverage without destroying existing terminal protocol stacks is a problem that still needs to be solved.We analyze the signaling flow and protocol architecture of GSM and LTE systems,and then propose a separation scheme for these systems in a hyper-cellular architecture.The basic idea is to accomplish the separation of base station functionality by dividing the logical channel,thus achieving separation of control coverage and traffic coverage.With the aid of software radio equipment,we build an experimental platform to verify the proposed solutions.Combined with other technologies such as cloud radio access networks and Software Defined Networks,we propose a software-defined hyper cellular architecture and create a cloud-based demonstration platform.
