Abstract:With the packet exchange principle,IPPBX can realize the functions of the traditional PBX on Ethernet and overcome the insufficiency of traditional PBX effectively. It has powerful functions,comprehensive services with less cost. The typical networking mode of IPPBX is introduced in this paper. The design principles of each module system MPC8250 hardware system based on IPPBX and the software system of the system are given. The protocol conversion software of main con?trol module is also analyzed. The test result shows that the system can achieve simultaneous processing of 200 calls and its voice quality is excellent.

Abstract:We propose and demonstrate an improved Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) architecture supporting bandwidth-scalable physical layer local area network (LAN) emulation. Due to the use of orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) technology for the LAN traffic transmission, there is no need to change the existing EPON architecture. Only one receiver at each optical network unit (ONU) is required to detect both LAN traffic and EPON downstream traffic, which makes the proposed system simple and cost-effective. Moreover, flexible assignment of LAN traffic bandwidth is realized by allocating different number of subcarriers or using different modulation formats. The 250 Mb/s 4-quadrature amplitude modulation (4-QAM) and 500 Mb/s 16-QAM OFDM LAN traffic are successfully emulated with the EPON traffic in our experiment. © 2011 Elsevier Inc. Abstract:The Ethernet is more and more used in the industrial environments. Because of the non-deterministic protocol of CSMA/CD, Ethernet is thought not to be suitable for the control of real time applications. With the worldwide application and development of Ethernet, its transmission rate is considered sufficiently high enough to estimate that all messages can be received inside a predefined temporal window. Especially, using Ethernet in industrial network will brings a lot of advantages: (1) consistency with the other communication systems installed in the enterprise; (2) employment of the same hardware all over the factory; (3) short cycle-times due to the high transmission speed; (4) large availability of chips implementing the MAC protocol, etc. In this paper, we first analyze the real-time capability of Ethernet and features of traffic for industrial network. Then, we propose some technologies for the design of an Ethernet-based real-time application. Finally, we present an EPA (Ethernet for Plant Automation)-based open network control system.

Abstract:Taking advantages of the modular nature of Linux, a set of Linux modules were improved to make Linux run on various SoC. The module improvement was including: developing a target-specific bootloader, designing a memory management module for the MMU-less processor, real-time improvement in scheduling module and organizing a small footprint file system for the flash memory. These modules can be reassembled on demands, catering for different boards and applications. Moreover, methods for developing embedded Linux are concluded, including tool chains and debug techniques. Case studies on two hardware platforms, based on ARM720T and M68K respectively, shown that the work satisfies application requirements.

Abstract:This paper presents the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design and implementation of the OLT used for Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON). To reduce working frequency of the FPGA, the byte-to-word conversion is proposed. Propagation delays are equalized by ranging procedure so as to avoid data collision. VILAN solution is illustrated in detail to guarantee data segregation and priority scheduling. A Fast CAM scheme is introduced to finish search operation in one clock cycle. Experimental results show that the proposed system can function properly in a low cost FPGA.

Abstract:This paper presents the design and implementation of access controller used for Ethernet passive optical network (EPON). As a first step to develop an ASIC product, the entire system is designed on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) with an embedded CPU. Implementations of synchronization, classification, as well as Linux porting are illustrated in detail. The interface between the FPGA and CPU are also presented. Abstract:Aiming at the requirements of intelligent electrical apparatus network for the openness,agility and reliability,an Ethernet network server is developed,which applies 32-bit ARM microprocessor as its hardware platform.The embedded real-time operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ is transplanted to the prepared hardware platform as the software platform and LwIP,the open source TCP/IP stack,is then transplanted to the μC/OS-Ⅱ to support network application.The conversion programs from Ethernet to serial and vice versa are designed for the connection between intelligent electrical apparatus and Ethernet.Furthermore,applications based on network are developed to realize intelligent Ethernet communication,such as embedded Web servers,Telnet long-distance configuration and online updating.

Abstract:This paper presented a method to design the network-interface module based on TCP/IP protocol, which can be used to implement the action agent in networked control system. An embedded system was employed to build the TCP/IP protocol system, the circuit diagram of hardware implementation and the flow chart of software implementation were shown, and the key technologies in the realization were introduced in detail. The experiment results show a satisfying performance on network communication of the interface module and can meet the requirements of the networked control system.

Abstract:Dealing with network planning and algorithm testing for Ethernet over passive optical network(EPON),based on the protocol of IEEE802.3ah,a model of EPON was established by utilizing an open source network simulation software Network Simulator Version 2(NS2) and its performance analysis was conducted.The model realizes a series of network operations,including optical network unit(ONU) registration,transmission distance measurement,bandwidth assignment and quality of service(QoS),and provides an integrated simulation platform(EPONns) for EPON network planning as well as various algorithm testing.Registration process simulation showed the relationship between number of successfully registered ONUs and value of discovery window;load detection at optical line terminal(OLT) showed the state of EPONns under heavy load.
