Abstract:The data model theory of real-time database and data characteristics of the processing industry is studied. Then by employing the latest information technology, a new design method for data management of the processing industry's real-time database is presented for the processing enterprises' application of real-time database. In the data model, data from the processing enterprise is organized by tag mapping technology. The model has a fast query system with multi-layer indexing structure by using STL (standard template library). In addition, the data model support distributed computation in the processing enterprises by adopting COM/DCOM (distributed component object model) technology. The validity and feasibility of the presented design method were proved by the method's successful application in the real-time database software of APC-iSYS.

The system functions into administrator space, teacher space, student space, and teaching interactive space. This paper states the functions in detail.

Abstract:With the rapid growth of data, two major challenges are taking place in digital library technologies. One is the transition from database to Data Ocean; the other is the transition from digital library to Smart Library. In order to address these challenges, we propose a scalable, adaptive, self-management, fault-tolerant architecture for various services in the digital library. Users can deploy services quite easily on the architecture, and it also enables the deployed services load balancing, scalable, adaptive and fault-tolerant. The practice in CADAL demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of our architecture.

Abstract:Access control is one of the key steps to ensuring the availability, confidentiality and integrity of system resources. While it has been fully applied in various network systems, it's still relatively new for collaborative CAD. This paper provides a new framework of multi-level access control for collaborative CAD based on hierarchical product modeling. A layered privilege model (LPM) has been developed to provide multi-granularity access permissions in the part level and feature level. An extended hierarchy role-based access control (EHRBAC) is implemented, integrated with LPM and common Hierarchy RBAC, to provide hierarchical access control of collaborative feature modeling in the component/part level and design feature level. Mesh simplification techniques are used to create variable level-of-detail for individual features.

Abstract:A design pattern of multi-layer distributed software was introduced to improve the system integration, openability and reusability for the existing advanced process control (APC) software. The design principle, basic framework and features of the new APC software package and its applications were introduced. The designing technology and its realization method for the interface layer, business service layer, business object layer were given. The introduced APC software package was tested on an aromatic extraction xylene raffinate column of Petrochemical Company and was proved with perfect performance and good effectiveness in practical application. The developed software package shows its powerful function, good openability and flexibility, better reliability and maintainability in experimental research.

Abstract:For the application of real-time database in a petrochemical plant,the article put forwards to a new concept to resolve the communication among real-time database and DCS,control software,and Web-based user interface.The scheme is developed based on Windows 2000 Server using the technique of multe-threading,anolymous pipe and WinSock,etc.The results of long industrial running of this scheme show that it is more effective and feasible for industrial process.

Abstract:A new kind of PDM system scheme based on the NET platform for solving application problems of the current PDM system applied in an enterprise is described. The key technologies of this system, such as NET, Accessing Data, information processing, Web, ect., were discussed. The 3-tier architecture of a PDM system based on the C/S and B/S mixed mode was presented. In this system, all users share the same Database Server in order to ensure the coherence and safety of client data. ADO.NET leverages the power of XML to provide disconnected access to data, which frees the connection to be used by other clients. Using this approach, the system performance was improved. Moreover, the important function modules in a PDM system such as project management, product structure management and Document Management module were developed and realized.

Abstract:Object-oriented databases are emerging as a newgeneration database technology for complex applications. In this paper, we present an active distributed object-oriented (ADO) database model, which can capture not only passive behaviors but also active behaviors of complex objects. Besides, the distribution nature of objects can be reflected from within the model as well. Based on the model, we have developed a prototype active distributed object-oriented database management system, and applied it to a housing property management application.

Abstract:Standard Data Access Interface (SDAI) in STEP isolates the application program from the underlying data storage system. SDAI contains a functional definition part and several specific programming language bindings. This paper describes an architecture to implement SDAI late binding on relational database systems. The architecture has a database layer to make it portable among various relational database systems, a core STEP object operation layer to provide reusable modules for different implementation languages, a data dictionary to facilitate late binding, and finally, the standard data access interface which will be called by application programs. The interfaces between these layers are identified. To store STEP data in relational database systems,the translation of EXPRESS data models to relational data models is also discussed. To distinguish between SDAI data schemas and application data schemas, SDAI data schemas such as session schema in the SDAI layer and application data schema in the core STEP objects operations layer are managed. The SDAI C late binding on Oracle based on the architecture have been implemented and the other SDAI language bindings on the architecture with relatively lower implementation cost will be implemented.

Abstract:SDAI provides a data access interface independent of data storage systems. Studying C late binding of SDAI on relational database system, we argue that schema translation, data dictionary schema and SDAI data access strategy are the three interrelated aspects of a complete SDAI implementation. To achieve the least loss of data semantics and efficient access of STEP data, we give emphasis on the translation of EXPRESS inheritance, organize data dictionary according to the schema translation method, and discuss three SDAI data access strategies in different application environments.
