Abstract:The chemical constituents of Cyllndrocladium sp.YMF1.03662 were studied.Two compounds were separated from ethyl acetate extract of fermentation broth and methanol extract of mycelia,which were i-dentified as citrantifidiolere and 1-monoacylglycerol by spectral analysis.

Abstract:A new eremophilane sesquiterpene, capnodiumone (1), along with five known eremophilane sesquiterpenes (2-6) and eight other compounds (7-14), have been isolated from a mangrove-associated fungus Capnodium sp. SZ-F22. The chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis. The broth extract of the fungus exhibited a good inhibitory effect on the mycelium growth against Fusarium graminearum at 100g/mL, however, all the 14 compounds showed no expected antifungal activity. The probable reasons were discussed. [GRAPHICS] .

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To study the chemical constituents of the peels collected from Citrus changshan-huyou Y. B. Chang, and further screen the bioactive components as the lead structures.METHODS:These compounds were isolated by repeated flash column chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20. The structures of isolated compounds were elucidated by using IR, EIMS, and NMR analyses.RESULTS:One novel compound along with nine known compounds were obtained and identified as huyoujiasu(I), 3-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid(II), 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(III), fatty acid(IV), glyceride(V), 6, 7-dimethoxycoumarin(VI), 6', 7'-dihydroxybergamottin(VII), daucossterol A(VIII), daucossterol B(IX) and huyou-triterpenoid(X).CONCLUSION:One new compound, Huyoujiasu, was obtained from these peels by repeated column chromatography, and the other known compounds were isolated from this fruit for the first time as well.

Abstract:Eight compounds were isolated from the acetone extract of artificially cultured mycelium of Armillaria mellea (Vahl. ex Fr.)Quel.(Tricholomataceae). Three of them are protoilludane sesquiterpenoid aromatic esters. Their structures were elucidated by spectral data analysis as the known 4'-methylmelledonal (I)and two new compounds named armillaritin (II) and armillarivin (III). In addition, five known compounds were identified as D-erythritol, D-mannitol, azelaic acid, orsellinic acid and glycerin-alpha-monooleate.

Abstract:A new diphenyl ether (1) as well as 20 other compounds were identified from the fermentative extracts of marine-derived fungi Phoma sp. CZD-F11 (Compounds 1–8) and Aspergillus sp. CZD-F18(Compounds 9–21). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis. The broth extracts of the fungi exhibited very good anticancer activity against H1975 cells with 5.62 and 25.8% viability at concentration of 10 μg/mL for Phoma sp. CZD-F11 and Aspergillus sp. CZD-F18, respectively. The inhibitory activity of all compounds against PC-3 cell lines, BRD4 and aromatase were evaluated. The results showed compound 7 exhibited moderate anticancer activity with 66.1% inhibition against PC-3 cell lines at the concentration of 10 μg/mL. Compound 7 and 8 exhibited favourable BRD4 inhibitory activity with 78.5 and 76.4% inhibition at the concentration of 10 μg/mL.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the chemical constituents in the fermented mycelia from Paecilomyces hepiali.Methods The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by repeated silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20,and semi-preparative HPLC chromatography,and their structures were identified by spectroscopic analyses(MS and NMR).Results Eleven known compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of 95% ethanol extract and were identified as ergosterol D(1),cerevisterol(2),6-Omethylcerevisterol(3),daucosterol(4),cyclo(L-Leu-L-Trp)(5),cyclo(L-Ile-L-Trp)(6),cyclo(L-Val-L-Trp)(7),4-[formyl-5(hydroxymethyl)-1H-pyrrol-1-yl] butanoic acid(8),4-[formyl-5-(methoxymethyl)-1H-pyrrol-1-yl] butanoic acid(9),5-hydroxylmethylfuroic acid(10),and succinic acid(11).Conclusion Compounds 1,2,and 4—9 are isolated from the fungi of Paecilomyces Bain for the first time.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To study the chemical constituents from the roots of Distylium myricoides.METHOD:The chemical constituents were isolated and separated with chromatographic techniques, and structures were identified by spectroscopic methods.RESULT:Eight phenolic compounds were isolated and identified as: 4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenol 1-O-beta-D-(6'-O-galloyl) glucopyranoside (1), 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenol 1-O-beta-D-(6'-O-galloyl) glucopyranoside (2), 3,4,5-tri methoxyphenol 1-O-beta-D-(6'-O-galloyl) glucopyranoside (3), 1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-galloyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4), methyl gallate (5), ethyl gallate (6), 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (7), gallic acid (8).CONCLUSION:All compounds were isolated from the genus Distylium for the first time.

Abstract:Objective To study on the chemical constituents of the mycelia of endophytic Guignardia mangiferae from Smilax glabra.Methods The compounds were isolated and purified by various chromatographic methods such as silica gel,reverse silica gel,sephadex-LH20 and preparative TLC.Their structures were determined extensive analysis of their spectroscopic data as well as by comparison with literature reports.Results Seven compounds were isolated and identified as cerebroside D(1),adenosine(2),(22E,24R)-24-methylcholesta-5,22-diene-3β-ol(3),ergosterol peroxide(4),(22E,24R)-5α,8α,-epidioxyergosta-6,9,22-triene-3β-ol(5),22E,24R-5α,6α-epoxyergosta-8,22-diene-3β,7α-diol(6) and cerevisterol(7).Conclusion All the compounds are isolated from the genus of Guignardia for the first time.

Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis.Methods The chemical constituents in ethyl acetate fraction of 70% ethanol extract from the roots of G.uralensis were isolated and purified by chromatography on silica gel,polyamide,MCI,ODS,Sephadex LH-20 columns,and RP-HPLC.The structures were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral data analyses.Results Fourteen compounds were isolated and identified as 3,7-dimethyl licoflavonol(1),gancaonin I(2),licocoumarone(3),8-methylretusin(4),2′-hydroxyisolupalbigenin(5),isovestitol(6),dehydroglyasperin D(7),glycyrin(8),glycyrol(9),echinatin(10),licochalcone B(11),isoangustone A(12),gancaonin G(13),and 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-6,8-diisoprenylisoflavone(14).Conclusion Compound 1 is a new compound,and compounds 2—7 are isolated from this plant for the first time.

Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents of Rhodiola kirilowii.Methods The compounds were separated and purified by various chromatographic techniques and their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic methods.Results Five compounds were purified and their structures were identified as 4-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-3-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-butanenitrile(1),epicatechin(2), arbutin(3),rutin(4),andβ-D-glucose(5).Conclusion Compound 1 is a new cyano-compound and other compounds are isolated from the plant for the first time.

Abstract:Aim To study the chemical constituents from the stems of Xylosma controversum Clos. Methods The constituents were isolated by solvent extraction, repeated chromatography with silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and RP-18 columns. The structures were elucidated by spectral analysis. Results Thirteen compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as (-)-syringaresinol (1), syringaresinol-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), syringaresinol-4,4'-bis-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), (±)-catechin (4), catechin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), catechin-5-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), 1,3-bis-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1,3-propanediol (7),(R)-(+)-chaulmoogric acid (8), friedelin (9), uracile (10), benzoic acid (11), vanillic acid (12), and 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (13). Conclusion All the compounds described above were isolated from this genus for the first time.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To isolate and elucidate the chemical constituents from the tuber of Arundina graminifolia.METHOD:The compounds were extracted by 95% alcohol and isolated by column chromatography on silica gel, SephedaxLH-20 and ODS. The structures were determined by UV, IR, NMR and MS spectral analysis.RESULT:Five compounds were isolated, and their structures were identified as (2E)-, 2-propenoic acid, 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-decosyl ester (I), p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (II), triacontanol (III) and p-hydroxybenzylethyl ether (IV), 3-hydroxy-5-methoxybibenzyl (V), respectively.CONCLUSION:All compounds were isolated from the genus of Arundina for the first time.

Abstract:Abstract Extract Dirofilaria immitis is periodically recorded in dogs imported from Australia into New Zealand. In this country, environmental conditions are marginal for the transmission of this species, but potential mosquito intermediate hosts are known to be present(1). Development in the intermediate host is temperature dependent, with most reports indicating that a mean temperature of at least 18 °C is required(2)(3)(4). Therefore, the most likely locations in New Zealand for D. immitis to establish are the Auckland region and areas north of this.

Abstract:Objective: To study the chemical constituents in the air-dried part of Conyza blinii. Method: The constituent isolation was done by solvent-extraction together with column chromatography. Several methods, such as IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and MS, were used to determine the structures of the isolated constituents. Result: Three compounds were isolated from the air-dried part of Conyza blinii and identified as friedelinol, n-triacontanol and daucosterol on the basis of physical and chemical properties and spectroscopic analysis. Conclusion: These compounds have not been discovered previously in this plant.

Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents in sporophore of Xylaria euglossa.Methods The chemical constituents were isolated by chromatography on repeated silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 columns.Their structures were elucidated by1H-NMR,13C-NMR,2D-NMR(1H-1HCOSY,HMQC,HMBC,and NOESY),HR-ESI-MS,and so on.Results Ten compounds were isolated and identified as xylarinone(1),3,9-dihydroxy-3-methyl-6,8-dimethoxy-dihydroanthracenone(2),1-hydroxy-6,8-dimethoxy-3methylanthraquinone(3),xylactam(4),neoechinulin A(5),5α,8α-epidioxy-ergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol(6),ergosta-4,6,8(14),22tetraen-3-one(7),22E-ergosta-7,22-dien-3β,5α,6β-triol(8),palmitic acid(9),and(2S,2′R,3S,4R)-2-(2′-hydroxy-stearamide) docosane-1,3,4-triol(10).Conclusion All compounds are isolated from this fungus for the first time.Compounds 1 and 4 are new compounds.

Abstract:To investigate the chemical constituents from Litsea rubescens Lec.var.yunnanensis.Compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatogra-phy,and purified by recrystallization.Their structures were identified by NMR spectral data and other methods.Four known compounds were isolated from alcohol-extraction from Litsea rubescens Lec.var.yunnanensis.On the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic analysis,these compounds were identified as triacontanoic acid(Ⅰ),hexacosoic acid(Ⅱ),Daucostenol(Ⅲ),β-sitosterol(Ⅳ).

Abstract:Three new constituents were isolated from Eleutherine americana Merr.et K.Heyne(Hong-cong)by means of silica gel,ODS column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).They were identified as 9,9′-dihydroxy-8,8′- dimethoxy-1,1′-methyl-1H,1H′-\bi\funanyl]-3,3′-dione(1),6,8-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxy-1-methyl-anthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester(2),2-acetyl-3,6,8-trihydroxy-1-methylanthraquinone(3) by physico-chemical propeties and spectral data,respectively.All three compounds showed weak activities against the growth of Pyricularia oryzae.The MMDC(Minimum morphological deformation mass concentration) was 145.8,50.2,124.8 μg/mL.Additionally,compound 2 also inhibited the proliferation of K562(human erythroleukemia) with IC-50 value of 49.1 μg/mL.
