Abstract:Colors are an inextricable element of the world we live in, and their influence on how people perceive their surroundings is irrefutable. It is a subtle stimulator with silent impact on physical, physiological, psychological, and sociological aspects in every day human lives. An interior designer can use color theory and alter characteristics of rooms by pleasing color plan for interiors to match the purpose and interests of residents. Therefore, the author had undertaken a study and interviewed people from different walks of life to assess their perception about the use of colors in interiors and concluded that people expressed color as an important factor in interior design. They prefer different colors as per the size and space of each room and considered quality material, availability of natural light, and matched the color of interiors. They also believe that color affects health, mood, and emotions of the person.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, the HSV color space model is used to collect the color characteristics of modern interior design and classify them into three types: hue (H), saturation (S), and luminance (V). At the same time, it combines with the theory of color psychology to construct a PAD emotion model for interior design. Then, it selects experimental samples and data analysis tools to carry out an example analysis of interior design from the emotional perspective. The data show that the selection of people warm and bright color interior design in the interior design of the background color across the amplitude of the largest and more concentrated in the 47.5°, the main body color across the amplitude of the smallest and most stable, the accent color value of the whole relatively high, the highest 123.6°, the background color saturation is the highest of 34.6°, and the brightness of more than 63.9°, the overall presentation of the warmth of comfort indoor environment. Error-values were 0.004, 0.0698, and 0.038 in order, with the errors all below 10%. This study integrates psychology and color into interior emotional design to better create visually appropriate, comfortable, and culturally rich interior environments for people, and also to promote the development of the interior design field.

Abstract:In the digital environment, the kindergarten interior design should also be adjusted, and more attention should be paid to the spatial color matching. The progress of science and technology makes the comfort of children's living environment also increase. Designers should be aware of the importance of spatial color to children's physical and mental growth when designing the kindergarten interior. Therefore, this paper first analyzes the present situation of kindergarten interior color design in China under the digital environment from the perspective of children's color psychology, then puts forward the basic ideas of kindergarten interior color design according to space color psychology, and finally discusses the design methods of kindergarten interior color according to children's psychological activities, hoping to provide good living, entertainment and learning space for children's healthy development.

Abstract:The process of interior design is effectively linked with the function and aesthetics of the space. It is also the way of turning space from a mere expression of material and masses into living objects through which the space user lives the story of feeling for the art of interior design. There are factors which affect the individual's peace and comfort; these include the psychological effects of light regulation, the features of the material, and the choice of colors (warm or cold). Because of the importance of illumination and colors and their vital effect in developing interior space and controlling the psychological and physiological comfort of the space user, this paper has been prepared to explore the role of utilizing light and colors in interior design of Living Rooms (in Cairo-Egypt) in order to support and develop the design process aiming to provide psychological, environmental and visual comfort inside the space. The model aims to set criteria for providing illumination, both natural and artificial and also colors, together with setting bases for the interior design of different spaces within the living room. A descriptive analytical approach is implemented through a thorough study of colors and lighting and their effective relationship within the space of living room. Fifty prospective dwellers participated in a survey using virtual reality environments that presented required design bases for selected colors and lighting groups in living rooms. The aim was to measure the physiological and psychological effect of the selection of colors and lighting on man.

Abstract:Interior design is a wide profession that can drastically influence how people feel and use a room. Marco Costa’s research on the effect of color in a room and Markus Canazei’s study on the effect of natural light in a room both focused on how adults were influenced by light and color in rooms. This ultimately led to both studies in this research process focused on teenagers because there isn’t a great amount of research on how light and color can affect teenagers in a room. The results showed that teenagers have a preference towards neutral and cool tones as opposed to adults who prefer warm tones. Teenagers also have a preference towards natural light similar to adults. More research can be done on understanding how light and color can affect teenagers in other environments such as school settings. Further research is necessary to obtain more information on the psychological impact of interior design on teenagers.

Abstract:The increase in emotional consumption reflects the increased emotional appeal of people in modern life. As a place for people's daily life and consumption, the indoor environment has been regarded as a symbol of quality of life and esthetic taste. The purpose of this paper is to study how to analyze and study the color factor and space humanization in interior design based on emotional needs, and describe the neural network. This paper puts forward the problem of emotional needs, which is based on the neural network model, and then elaborates on its concept and related algorithms, and designs and analyzes the case design and analysis of the humanized design of interior color and space based on emotional needs. The experimental results show that in the evaluation of the emotional needs of indoor environment users, the emotional needs of users for the three levels are all above 3.00. Users have the highest emotional needs at the usage level, reaching 4.24. It shows that users pay more attention to the practical value of the indoor environment, and hope to obtain a pleasant emotional experience by meeting the needs of practical value.

Abstract:Abstract Due to the diversified development trend of modern architectural design, the functional design and application of houses are being presented in the interior space color layout of houses with its many advantages of interactivity, comprehensiveness, multi-functionality, and personalization. With this as the starting point, this paper analyzes the psychological perception of survey respondents on the same spatial color through big data, converts the perception into EEG signal for decoding, and after the decoding process of EEG data pre-processing, feature extraction, feature identification, and classification, calculates the significance of each element in the time-frequency matrix, which can get a homo-dimensional mask matrix. Then the conditional random field model is established on the random field theory to get the parameters of the model. Finally, the parameters of the model are obtained by maximizing the following entropy function, which is brought into the Lagrangian operator to obtain the pairwise Lagrangian operator. Finally, the EEG signal is decoded to realize the self-control training of color perception under different mentalities. The experimental results showed that by performing the intervention test on self-control and color insight, the mean value of the total self-control score in training was 61.99±11.45, and the intervention effect had stability. Therefore, improving self-control ability and forming correct tendency psychological perception plays a vital role in the color design of architectural space.

Abstract:Spatial colored lighting can not only produce different visual effects, but also creates mood or landscape designs. Colored lighting given in their surroundings can affect users' aesthetic feeling and creates graceful lighting effect to alter the mind and spatial perception. Whenever and wherever color and light apply in an interior, large effort will be spent to achieve color harmony in each room. To study various effects of color in interior environments, some studies address the psychological properties of color while some considered the effect of color to have a spatial dimension. Most studies were performed in laboratory conditions using small color patches. The present research investigated color harmony for color spatial light pairs on the wall in a real room. The results were used to develop different models and were compared with the earlier theories based on color patches.

Abstract:As an important part of a hotel's internal environment, color design affects not only customers' hotel stay experiences, but also their check-in experiences. However, how hotel guests' emotional experiences are affected by interior color design is understudied in China. Drawing on the theory of color psychology, we designed a Virtual Reality (VR) experiment and a questionnaire to explore how hotel guests' emotional experience can be influenced by the color scheme of hotel interior color design. The results show that hotel rooms decorated in yellow have a pleasurable effect, those decorated in gray a calming effect, and those decorated in blue a relatively neutral effect. Young participants have more negative emotional responses to rooms decorated in dark yellow. The emotional impact of both gray and yellow with higher grayscale values shifts from positive to negative with the improvement of customers' educational background. Low grayscale color schemes are preferred over high grayscale ones, and indoor environments with synergistic colors are preferred over contrasting colors. It is also found that male subjects tend to have more positive emotional reactions to all color schemes than females. For most subjects, age and education have no effect on their emotional reactions to different color schemes. These findings have important implications for hotel interior environment color design.
