Abstract:The research status of high performance magnesium ( Mg) alloys was introduced with em-phasis on high performance casting Mg alloys , wrought Mg alloys , damping Mg alloys and high-tem-perature Mg alloys .Advanced forming technologies in the solid and liquid processing , and other new preparation technologies were also introduced .Then the current research and application status of Mg alloys in aerospace industry were reviewed .The research and application status of Mg alloys at home and aboard , the use of Mg alloys in aero-engine , aircraft and aerospace craft were emphatical-ly reviewed .And the research and application status of Mg alloys at home and abroad were com-pared.Finally, the development trend of magnesium alloys in aerospace industry was proposed .
