Analysis on the Collar Modeling Design of Young Women Garments

Abstract:This paper analyzes the structure and the movement of young women's neck firstly. Then the composing principle of young women neckline was discussed. On this basis, take research on the collar modeling of young women garments. The design essentials of collarless collar, stand-collar, flat collar and turn-down collar modeling were discussed. Distinctive collars could be designed through the changes of neckline, collar width, fold line, collar angle and outside edge of collar. At last, the influencing factors of collar modeling of young women garments were proposed from the principle of clothing aesthetics, such as the feature of neck, the feature of face, the feature of shoulder, the shape of garment, fabric, fashion trend, etc. Only through the combination of collar design with influencing factors, collar modeling suited to young women could be designed.
