Abstract:Objective To Treating the nano-SiO2 particle by silicon coupling reagent,functionalize the SiO2 by making double bond on its surface. Polymerizing on the surface of nano-SiO2 surface by the method called emulsion polymerization,the nano-SiO2 is covered by polymer to get the PMMA-KH-570-nano-SiO2 complex material. Test the surface structure of the surface of nano-SiO2 by FTIR,and test sort of its mechanical performances.Comparing the treated nano-SiO2 which is directly dispended in the PMMA emulsion with the SiO2 without any treatment(control group) ,we are trying to find an effective method which can not only increase the dispersion of SiO2,but also improve the mechanical performance of the artificial teeth. Methods Coupling agent KH-570 will be treated with nano-SiO2 through graft PMMA,have been prepolymer by the hot-melt molding system in the experimental group were the standard sample;1.KH-570 will betreated nano-SiO2 dispersed directly to PMMA emulsion,as a hot-melt molding system in the control group of standard sample;2. The use of laboratory methods to produce PMMA,is the standard blank Group 1 sample;3.Clinical Tray will be made of powder blank Group 2 of the standard sample;4.On the surface modified nanoparticles SiO2 for FTIR characterization testing;5.PMMA on the nano-composites for FTIR characterization testing;6.Of the four standard sample for testing mechanical properties,by comparing four different mechanical properties of materials,combined with literature,for coupling nano-SiO2 surface modified PMMA,as well as the role and mechanism analysis and discussion. Results FTIR:FTIR proved successful in SiO2 on the surface of the bonding agent KH-570,On the basis of the g-PMMA macromolecules,The realization of the SiO2 nanoparticles surface modified. PMMA in its dispersion strengthening. 1.Sample surface by SEM observation,reached a preliminary nano-dispersion. 2.Flexural modulus of elasticity and experimental results show that after the grafting of nanocomposite mechanical properties than a blank group increased 98.7%,an increase of about 2 blank group 10.4%. Conclusion By coupling agent KH-570 on nano-SiO2 surface modified to be effective and feasible,coupling with SiO2 surface chemical reaction occurred,so that the nano-SiO2 in the PMMA in the increased spread:1.By the KH-570-treated nano-SiO2 with PMMA graft copolymer,which obtained the nanocomposites can be further enhanced artificial teeth denture strength and toughness.2.A preliminary system of P(MMA-KH-570-SiO2) nanocomposites although the laboratory system was decentralized in the PMMA,the mechanical properties of a substantial improvement,but clinical comparison of the Tray powder used to raise limited. The reason may be in the process is not perfect. But also in the future to further improve the process,compared to the clinical use of powder Tray also raised greatly.
