Abstract:Virtual effects of supersymmetry on the partial width GAMMA(Z --> bbBAR) and on the branching ratio R(b) = GAMMA(Z --> bbBAR)/GAMMA(Z --> hadrons) are calculated in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We found that the virtual gluino contribution to the width is negligibly small if the squark and gluino masses take the-ir experiment-allowed values. Also, we have calculated the contributions to R(b) from the charged Higgs and charginos. As to the discrepancy between two previous works about the virtual chargino correction, our calculations provide a confirmation.

Abstract:In low energy supersymmetric (SUSY) theories the exchange of a gluino and squark with left-right mixing can produce a large gluonic dipole interaction. In this paper we study the effects of this interaction on B -->K pi using the QCD improved factorization method. The standard model predicts a smaller branching ratio for B-o--> (K) over bar (o) pi (o) than the experimentally measured one. We find that, within the parameter space allowed from the B-->gammaX(s) constraint, the SUSY dipole interaction can enhance this branching ratio to agree with the experimental measurement. Combining recent data for all four (B) over bar (o) -->K- pi (+),(K) over bar (o) pi (o) and B- --> K- pi (o), (K) over bar (o) pi (-) decay modes, we find that the allowed parameter space is reduced significantly compared with that using B --> X-s gamma data alone. It is found that even with these constraints, the predictions for CP violation in these modes can be dramatically different from those of standard model predictions.
A Comprehensive Analysis of Hadronic B->S Transitions in a Family Non-universal Z' Model

Abstract:Motivated by the latest improved measurements of B-meson decays, we make a comprehensive analysis of the impact of a family non-universal Z' boson on B-s - (B) over bar (s) mixing and two-body hadronic B-meson decays, all being characterized by the quark-level b -> s transition. Explicitly 22 decay modes and the related 52 observables are considered, and some interesting correlations between them are also carefully examined. Firstly, the allowed oases of b - s - Z' coupling parameters |B-sb(L, R)| and phi(L, R)(s) are extracted from B-s - (B) over bar (s) mixing. Then, in the 'SM limit' (i.e., no new types of Z'-induced four-quark operators arise compared to the SM case), we study the Z' effects on B -> pi K, pi K* and rho K decays. It is found that a new weak phase phi(L)(s) similar to - 90 degrees is crucial for resolving the observed 'pi K CP puzzle' and the allowed cases of the other Z' coupling parameters are also strongly restricted. Moreover, the Z' effects on (B) over bar (s) -> KK, KK* and pi(0)phi decays, being induced by the same quark-level b -> sq (q) over bar (q = u, d) transitions, are also investigated. In particular, it is found that the decay (B) over bar (s) -> pi(0)phi, once measured, would play a key role in revealing the observed 'pi K CP puzzle' and probing possible new physics hints. Finally, to check the non-universality of Z' couplings to light-quark pairs, we have studied the B -> phi K decays in detail and found that the left-handed s - s - Z' coupling is different from the d - d - Z' one, which is due to the large A(CP)(dir)(B- -> phi K-) reported by the BaBar Collaboration.

Abstract:We calculate the enhancements to the inclusive charmless decays of b quark, b→sg,sqq̄,sgg, from gluon penguin diagrams induced by the charged and neutral Higgs bosons (H±,h0,H0, and A0) in the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model with flavor-changing couplings. Within the considered parameter space, the new contributions from charged Higgs boson are dominant. After including the new contributions, the branching ratio BR(b→sg) (q2=0) can be increased form ∼0.2% in the standard model to 4.4% and 2.6% in the two-Higgs-doublet model for mH+=100 and 200 GeV, respectively. The new contribution to the decay mode b→sqq̄ with q=(u,d,s) is, however, numerically small and peaked at the lower q2 region. The new contribution to b→sgg can also be neglected.

Abstract:We study the implications of flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC's) in a model with the SU(2)(l) x SU(2)(h) x U(1)(Y) electroweak gauge symmetry for several anomalies appearing in b -> sl (l) over bar induced B decays in LHCb data. In this model, SU(2)(l) and SU(2)(h) govern the left-handed fermions in the first two generations and the third generation, respectively. The physical Z and Z' generate the b -> s transition at tree level, leading to additional contributions to the b -> s semileptonic operators O-9,O-10. We find that although B-s-(B) over bar (s) mixing constrains the parameters severely, the model can producevalues of C-9,10(NP) in the range determined by Descotes Genon et al. (Global analysis of b -> sll anomalies, arXiv:1510.04239) for this scenario to improve the global fit of observables in decays induced by the b -> s mu(mu) over bar transition. The Z' boson in this model also generates tree-level FCNC's for the leptonic interactions that can accommodate the experimental central value of R-K = B(B -> K mu(mu) over bar)/B(B -> Ke (e) over bar) = 0.75. In this case, the model predicts sizable branching ratios for B -> Ke (tau) over bar, B -> K tau(e) over bar, and an enhancement of B -> K tau(tau) over bar with respect to its standard model value.

Abstract:The rare decays $\bar{B}\rightarrow X_s\gamma $ and $B_s^0\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$ are important to research new physics beyond the standard model (SM). In this work, we investigate two loop electroweak corrections to $\bar{B}\rightarrow X_s\gamma $ and $B_s^0\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$ in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the SM with local $B-L$ gauge symmetry (B-LSSM), under a minimal flavor violating assumption for the soft breaking terms. In this framework, new particles and new definition of squarks can affect the theoretical predictions of these two processes, with respect to the MSSM. Considering the constraints from updated experimental data, the numerical results show that the B-LSSM can fit the experimental data for the branching ratios of $\bar{B}\rightarrow X_s\gamma $ and $B_s^0\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$. The results of the rare decays also further constrain the parameter space of the B-LSSM.

Abstract:Motivated by the large discrepancy of CP-violating phase in $ {\bar B_s} - {B_s} $ mixing between the experimental data and the Standard Model prediction, we pursue possible solutions within a family non-universal Z′ model. Within such a specific model, we find that both the $ {\bar B_s} - {B_s} $ mixing anomaly and the well-known “πK puzzle” could be moderated simultaneously with a nontrivial new weak phase, ϕ s L ∼ −72° (S1) or −82° (S2). With the stringently constrained Z′ coupling B sb L , we then study the Z′ effects on the rare B → X s μ + μ − and B s → μ + μ − decays, which are also induced by the same b → s transition. The observables of B → X s μ + μ −, at both high and low q 2 regions, are found to be able to put strong constraints on the μ − μ − Z′ coupling, B μμ L,R ∼ 10−2. It is also shown that the combined constraints from $ {\bar B_s} - {B_s} $ mixing, B → πK and B → X s μ + μ − do not allow a large Z′ contribution to the pure leptonic B s → μ + μ − decay.

Abstract:The electroweak corrections at the order of O(alpha(ew)m(t(b))(2)/m(W)(2)) to the partial widths of the (t) over tilde (2)-->(g) over tilde +t and -->(t) over tilde (1)+(t) over tilde decays (depending on the masses of the particles involved) are investigated within the supersymmetric standard model. The relative corrections can reach the value of 10% in some parameter space, which can be comparable with the corresponding QCD corrections. Therefore, they should be taken into account for the precise experimental measurement at future colliders.

Abstract:The Higgs boson production p p (p\bar p) -> b h +X via b g -> b h at the LHC, which may be an important channel for testing the bottom quark Yukawa coupling, is subject to large supersymmetric quantum corrections. In this work the one-loop SUSY-QCD corrections to this process are evaluated and are found to be quite sizable in some parameter space. We also study the behavior of the corrections in the limit of heavy SUSY masses and find the remnant effects of SUSY-QCD. These remnant effects, which are left over in the Higgs sector by the heavy sparticles, are found to be so sizable (for a light CP-odd Higgs and large \tan\beta) that they might be observable in the future LHC experiment. The exploration of such remnant effects is important for probing SUSY, especially in case that the sparticles are too heavy (above TeV) to be directly discovered at the LHC.
New Higgs Effects in B--Physics in Supersymmetry with General Flavour Mixing

Abstract:We investigate the effect of general flavour mixing among squarks on the rare decays $\bar{B}\to X_s\gamma$, $\bar{B}_s\to\mu^+\mu^-$ and $\bar{B}_s-B_s$ mixing beyond the leading order in perturbation theory. We include all large $\tan\beta$--enhanced corrections whilst also taking into account the effects of general flavour mixing on the uncorrected quark mass matrix and ${\rm SU}(2)_L\times{\rm U}(1)_Y$ breaking. For $\bar{B}_s\to\mu^+\mu^-$ and $\bar{B}_s-B_s$ mixing we find that, in analogy to $\bar{B}\to X_s\gamma$, there appears a focusing effect which can reduce the contribution due to the $\delta_{RR}$ (and the $\delta_{LL}$) insertion by up to a factor of two at large $\tan\beta$ and $\mu>0$. A dependence on $\delta_{LR}$ and $\delta_{RL}$, that otherwise cancels to first order in the mass insertion approximation, is also reintroduced. Taking into account the current experimental bounds on $\Delta M_{B_s}$ and BR($\bar{B}_s\to\mu^+\mu^-$), we find that the insertions $\delta_{RL}$ and $\delta_{RR}$ can be significantly constrained compared to bounds obtained from $\bar{B}\to X_s\gamma$ only.

Abstract:The supersymmetric QCD corrections to top quark pair production by q ($) over bar q annihilation in p ($) over bar p collisions are calculated in the minimal supersymmetric model. We present the analytic expressions of the corrections to the total t ($) over bar t production cross section at the Fermilab Tevatron. The numerical results show that the corrections can enhance the cross section by similar to 10% for favorable parameter values.

Abstract:We investigate the flavour changing neutral current bsV(V = ,Z) couplings in the production vertex for the process e+e-b sbar or bbar s in the standard model. The precise calculations required to keep all quark masses non-zero are carried out. Production cross sections are found to be of the order of 10-3 fb at LEP II and of the order of 10-1 fb when the centre-of-mass energy is near the mass of the neutral gauge boson Z.
