Abstract:We computed the O(α3) virtual gluino correction to the process Z → b in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, and investigated the dependence of the process on gluino and squark masses. For some values of masses, the correction implies about 7%-12% additional decrease of the ratio Γ (Z → b)/Γ(Z → hadrons) relative to the standard model expectation.

Abstract:Virtual effects of supersymmetry on the partial width GAMMA(Z --> bbBAR) and on the branching ratio R(b) = GAMMA(Z --> bbBAR)/GAMMA(Z --> hadrons) are calculated in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We found that the virtual gluino contribution to the width is negligibly small if the squark and gluino masses take the-ir experiment-allowed values. Also, we have calculated the contributions to R(b) from the charged Higgs and charginos. As to the discrepancy between two previous works about the virtual chargino correction, our calculations provide a confirmation.

Abstract:The Z -> e(+)e(-) decay is studied based on the noncommutative standard model with the hybrid gauge transformation. It is shown that if the latter is not included, the noncommutative correction to the amplitude of the Z -> e(+)e(-) appears only as a phase factor, so that there is no new physical effect on the decay width. However, when the hybrid gauge transformation is included, the noncommutative effect appears in the two-body decay process. The discrepancy between the experimental branch ratio and the standard model prediction allows us to set the bound on the noncommutative parameters.

Abstract:$U(1)_X$SSM is the extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) and its local gauge group is $SU(3)_C\times SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y \times U(1)_X$. We study lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays $Z\rightarrow{{l_i}^{\pm}{l_j}^{\mp}}$($Z\rightarrow e{\mu}$, $Z\rightarrow e{\tau}$, and $Z\rightarrow {\mu}{\tau}$) and $h\rightarrow{{l_i}^{\pm}{l_j}^{\mp}}$($h\rightarrow e{\mu}$, $h\rightarrow e{\tau}$, and $h\rightarrow {\mu}{\tau}$), in this model. In the numerical results, the branching ratios of $Z\rightarrow{{l_i}^{\pm}{l_j}^{\mp}}$ are from $10^{-9}$ to $10^{-13}$ and the branching ratios of $h\rightarrow{{l_i}^{\pm}{l_j}^{\mp}}$ are from $10^{-3}$ to $10^{-9}$, which can approach the present experimental upper bounds. Based on the latest experimental data, we analyze the influence of different sensitive parameters on the branching ratio, and make reasonable predictions for future experiments. The main sensitive parameters and LFV sources are the non-diagonal elements corresponding to the initial and final generations of leptons, which can be seen from the numerical analysis.

Abstract:We study the implications of flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC's) in a model with the SU(2)(l) x SU(2)(h) x U(1)(Y) electroweak gauge symmetry for several anomalies appearing in b -> sl (l) over bar induced B decays in LHCb data. In this model, SU(2)(l) and SU(2)(h) govern the left-handed fermions in the first two generations and the third generation, respectively. The physical Z and Z' generate the b -> s transition at tree level, leading to additional contributions to the b -> s semileptonic operators O-9,O-10. We find that although B-s-(B) over bar (s) mixing constrains the parameters severely, the model can producevalues of C-9,10(NP) in the range determined by Descotes Genon et al. (Global analysis of b -> sll anomalies, arXiv:1510.04239) for this scenario to improve the global fit of observables in decays induced by the b -> s mu(mu) over bar transition. The Z' boson in this model also generates tree-level FCNC's for the leptonic interactions that can accommodate the experimental central value of R-K = B(B -> K mu(mu) over bar)/B(B -> Ke (e) over bar) = 0.75. In this case, the model predicts sizable branching ratios for B -> Ke (tau) over bar, B -> K tau(e) over bar, and an enhancement of B -> K tau(tau) over bar with respect to its standard model value.

A Comprehensive Analysis of Hadronic B->S Transitions in a Family Non-universal Z' Model

Abstract:Motivated by the latest improved measurements of B-meson decays, we make a comprehensive analysis of the impact of a family non-universal Z' boson on B-s - (B) over bar (s) mixing and two-body hadronic B-meson decays, all being characterized by the quark-level b -> s transition. Explicitly 22 decay modes and the related 52 observables are considered, and some interesting correlations between them are also carefully examined. Firstly, the allowed oases of b - s - Z' coupling parameters |B-sb(L, R)| and phi(L, R)(s) are extracted from B-s - (B) over bar (s) mixing. Then, in the 'SM limit' (i.e., no new types of Z'-induced four-quark operators arise compared to the SM case), we study the Z' effects on B -> pi K, pi K* and rho K decays. It is found that a new weak phase phi(L)(s) similar to - 90 degrees is crucial for resolving the observed 'pi K CP puzzle' and the allowed cases of the other Z' coupling parameters are also strongly restricted. Moreover, the Z' effects on (B) over bar (s) -> KK, KK* and pi(0)phi decays, being induced by the same quark-level b -> sq (q) over bar (q = u, d) transitions, are also investigated. In particular, it is found that the decay (B) over bar (s) -> pi(0)phi, once measured, would play a key role in revealing the observed 'pi K CP puzzle' and probing possible new physics hints. Finally, to check the non-universality of Z' couplings to light-quark pairs, we have studied the B -> phi K decays in detail and found that the left-handed s - s - Z' coupling is different from the d - d - Z' one, which is due to the large A(CP)(dir)(B- -> phi K-) reported by the BaBar Collaboration.

$Z$-boson decays into $S$-wave quarkonium plus a photon up to ${\cal O}(α_{s} v^2)$ corrections

Abstract:In this paper, we calculate the decay widths and branching fractions for the decays $Z \to H+ \gamma$ up to ${\cal O}(\alpha_{s} v^2)$ accuracy within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD, where $H$ stands for the $S$-wave quarkonium $\eta_c$, $J/\psi$, $\eta_b$ or $\Upsilon$, respectively. To compare with the leading-order terms, those corrections show good perturbative behavior as expected. It is found that contributions from the next-to-leading order QCD correction ${\cal O}(\alpha_{s}v^0)$, the relativistic correction ${\cal O}(\alpha^{0}_{s}v^2)$ and their joint correction ${\cal O}(\alpha_{s} v^2)$ are sizable and comparable to each other, especially for the charmonium case. Thus we need to take all of them into consideration for a sound estimation. For a high luminosity electron-positron collider running around the $Z$-pole, due to $Z$-boson resonance effect, sizable events could be produced from those rare decay channels.

Abstract:Within the standard model, we have investigated rare Z-boson decays into double heavy quarkonia, Z VV and Z -> VP, with V and P denoting vector and pseudoscalar quarkonia, respectively. It is assumed that the leading-order QCD diagrams would give the dominant contributions to these processes, and the corresponding branching fractions, for instance, B(Z -> J/Psi J/Psi), have been estimated to be approximately 10(-13) in literature. However, these decays could also happen through electromagnetic transitions Z -> V gamma* and Z -> Py*, with the virtual photon transforming into V. Interestingly, the smallness of the vector quarkonium mass can give rise to a large factor m(Z)(2)/m(V)(2) relative to the QCD contributions, which thus counteracts the suppression from the electromagnetic coupling. We systematically include these two types of contributions in our calculation to predict branching fractions for these decays. Particularly, owing to the virtual photon effects, it is found that B(Z -> J/Psi J/Psi) will be significantly enhanced, up to 10(-10).

Abstract:We have calculated the emission rate of t-->Wbq (q) over bar through virtual gluon exchange in massive-top-quark decay. The two different kinds of methods lead to the same interesting result: the branching ratio is lowered an order of 2 more than that of the t-->Wbg channel. Abstract:We calculate the enhancements to the inclusive charmless decays of b quark, b→sg,sqq̄,sgg, from gluon penguin diagrams induced by the charged and neutral Higgs bosons (H±,h0,H0, and A0) in the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model with flavor-changing couplings. Within the considered parameter space, the new contributions from charged Higgs boson are dominant. After including the new contributions, the branching ratio BR(b→sg) (q2=0) can be increased form ∼0.2% in the standard model to 4.4% and 2.6% in the two-Higgs-doublet model for mH+=100 and 200 GeV, respectively. The new contribution to the decay mode b→sqq̄ with q=(u,d,s) is, however, numerically small and peaked at the lower q2 region. The new contribution to b→sgg can also be neglected.
B -> K*L(+)L(-), Kl(+)L(-) Decays In A Family Non-Universal Z ' Model

Abstract:Motivated by the observed forward-backward asymmetry in B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay, we perform a detailed analysis of this decay mode within a family non-universal Z' model. With the related coupling Z' - (s) over barb constrained by B-s - (B) over bar (s) mixing, B -> pi K and B -> X-s mu(+)mu(-) decays, we look for further constraint on the couplings Z' - mu(+)mu(-) from A(FB)(B -> K*mu(+)mu(-))(0GeV2 <= q2 <= 2GeV2) and get numerically B-mu mu(L,R) similar to O(10(-2)). Moreover, we find that the relations B-mu mu(L) < B-mu mu(R) and B-mu mu(L) + B-mu mu(R) < 0, with a small negative phase phi(L)(s), are crucial to moderate the discrepancy for A(FB)(B -> K*mu(+)mu(-)) between the SM prediction and the experimental data. Numerically, comparing with the SM prediction, we find that A(FB)(B -> K*mu(+)mu(-))(0GeV2 <= q2 <= 2GeV2) could be enhanced about 80% and 50% by Z' contribution at most in scenarios S1 and S2, corresponding to the two fitted results of phi(s) by UTfit collaboration, respectively. However, the results are still about 1.5 sigma lower than the experimental measurement.

Abstract:The electroweak corrections at the order of O(alpha(ew)m(t(b))(2)/m(W)(2)) to the partial widths of the (t) over tilde (2)-->(g) over tilde +t and -->(t) over tilde (1)+(t) over tilde decays (depending on the masses of the particles involved) are investigated within the supersymmetric standard model. The relative corrections can reach the value of 10% in some parameter space, which can be comparable with the corresponding QCD corrections. Therefore, they should be taken into account for the precise experimental measurement at future colliders.
