Abstract:Let $H^{\infty}$ be the Banach algebra of bounded analytic functions on the unit open disc $\mathbb{D}$ equipped with the supremum norm. As well known, inner functions play an important role of in the study of bounded analytic functions. In this paper, we are interested in the study of inner functions. Following by the canonical inner-outer factorization decomposition, define $Q_{inn}$ and $Q_{out}$ the maps from $H^{\infty}$ to $\mathfrak{I}$ the set of inner functions and $\mathfrak{F}$ the set of outer functions, respectively. In this paper, we study the $H^{2}$-norm continuity and $H^{\infty}$-norm discontinuity of $Q_{inn}$ and $Q_{out}$ on some subsets of $H^{\infty}$. On the other hand, the Beurling theorem connects invariant subspaces of the multiplication operator $M_z$ and inner functions. We show the nonexistence of continuous cross section from some certain invariant subspaces to inner functions in the supremum norm. The continuity problem of $Q_{inn}$ and $Q_{out}$ on $\textrm{Hol}(\overline{\mathbb{D}})$, the set of all analytic functions in the closed unit disk, are also considered.

Abstract:The inner-outer and spectral factorization problems were studied and a new computation method to obtain an analytical formula for those two problems was proposed.The most prominent advantage of the proposed method lies in its intuitiveness and efficiency: all need to do in computation procedure is to find the open right half plane zeros of a system and their zero directions,the fact of which makes a sharp contrast to those numerical ones.The proposed method was illustrated by several numerical examples.

Abstract:Bourgain–Morrey spaces , generalizing what was introduced by J. Bourgain, play an important role in the study related to the Strichartz estimate and the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. In this article, via adding an extra exponent , the authors creatively introduce a new class of function spaces, called Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces , which is a bridge connecting Bourgain–Morrey spaces with amalgam-type spaces . By making full use of the Fatou property of block spaces in the weak local topology of , the authors give both predual and dual spaces of . Applying these properties and the Calderón product, the authors also establish the complex interpolation of . Via fully using fine geometrical properties of dyadic cubes, the authors then give an equivalent norm of having an integral expression, which further induces a boundedness criterion of operators on . Applying this criterion, the authors obtain the boundedness on of classical operators including the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator, the fractional integral, and the Calderón–Zygmund operator.

Abstract:In this paper, the authors propose a new framework under which a theory of generalized Besov-type and Triebel-Lizorkin-type function spaces is developed. Many function spaces appearing in harmonic analysis fall under the scope of this new framework. Among others, the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator or the related vector-valued maximal function on any of these function spaces is not required to construct these generalized scales of smoothness spaces. Instead of this, a key idea used in this framework is an application of the Peetre maximal function. This idea originates from recent findings in the abstract coorbit space theory obtained by Holger Rauhut and Tino Ullrich. Under this new setting, the authors establish the boundedness of pseudo-differential operators based on atomic and molecular characterizations and also the boundedness of the Fourier multipliers. The characterizations of these function spaces by means of differences and oscillations are also established. As further applications of this new framework, the authors reexamine and polish some existing results for many different scales of function spaces.

Abstract:We deduce factorization properties for a quasi-Banach module over a quasi-Banach algebra. Especially we extend a result by Hewitt and prove that if any such algebra which possess a bounded left approximate identity, then any element in the module can be factorized. As applications, we deduce factorization properties for Wiener amalgam spaces, for an extended family of modulation spaces and for Schatten symbol classes in pseudo-differential calculus under multiplications like convolutions, twisted convolutions and symbolic products. For example we show for Wiener amalgam spaces that WL^{1,r}*WL^{p,q}=WL^{p,q} when r in (0,1], and p and q are finite and larger than r. In particular we improve Rudin's identity L^1*L^1=L^1.

Existential closedeness and the structure of bimodules of II$_1$ factors

Abstract:We prove that if a separable II$_1$ factor $M$ is existentially closed, then every $M$-bimodule is weakly contained in the trivial $M$-bimodule, $\text{L}^2(M)$, and, equivalently, every normal completely positive map on $M$ is a pointwise 2-norm limit of maps of the form $x\mapsto\sum_{i=1}^ka_i^*xa_i$, for some $k\in\mathbb N$ and $(a_i)_{i=1}^k\subset M$. This provides the first examples of non-hyperfinite separable II$_1$ factors $M$ with the latter properties. We also obtain new characterizations of $M$-bimodules which are weakly contained in the trivial or coarse $M$-bimodule and of relative amenability inside $M$. Additionally, we give an operator algebraic presentation of the proof of the existence of existentially closed II$_1$ factors. While existentially closed II$_1$ factors have property Gamma, by adapting this proof we construct non-Gamma II$_1$ factors which are existentially closed in every weakly coarse extension.

Abstract:We study complex distribution spaces given over a bounded Lipschitz domain $\Omega$ and associated with an elliptic differential operator $A$ with $C^{\infty}$-coefficients on $\overline{\Omega}$. If $X$ and $Y$ are quasi-Banach distribution spaces over $\Omega$, then the space $X(A,Y)$ under study consists of all distributions $u\in X$ such that $Au\in Y$ and is endowed with the graph quasi-norm. Assuming $X$ to be an arbitrary Besov space or Triebel--Lizorkin space over $\Omega$, we find sufficient conditions for $Y$ under which the interpolation between the spaces $X(A,Y)$ preserves their structure, these spaces are separable, and the set $C^{\infty}(\overline{\Omega})$ is dense in them. We then explicitly describe the spaces obtained by the real, complex, and $\pm$ interpolation between the spaces under study. We apply these spaces to general elliptic problems with rough boundary data by proving the Fredholm property for bounded operators induced by these problems and defined on certain spaces $X(A,Y)$. Specifically, we establish the maximal regularity of solutions to some elliptic problems with Gaussian white noise in boundary conditions. Quasi-Banach distribution spaces are involved in the concept of $X(A,Y)$ for the first time. Our results are new even for inner product Sobolev spaces of integer-valued order.

Abstract:Let $1\leq p,q < \infty$ and $1\leq r \leq \infty$. We show that the direct sum of mixed norm Hardy spaces $\big(\sum_n H^p_n(H^q_n)\big)_r$ and the sum of their dual spaces $\big(\sum_n H^p_n(H^q_n)^*\big)_r$ are both primary. We do so by using Bourgain's localization method and solving the finite dimensional factorization problem. In particular, we obtain that the spaces $\big(\sum_{n\in \mathbb N} H_n^1(H_n^s)\big)_r$, $\big(\sum_{n\in \mathbb N} H_n^s(H_n^1)\big)_r$, as well as $\big(\sum_{n\in \mathbb N} BMO_n(H_n^s)\big)_r$ and $\big(\sum_{n\in \mathbb N} H^s_n(BMO_n)\big)_r$, $1 < s < \infty$, $1\leq r \leq \infty$, are all primary.

Inner Functions on quotient domains related to the polydisc

Abstract:Inner functions are the backbone of holomorphic function theory. This paper studies the inner functions on quotient domains of the open unit polydisc, $\bD^d$, arising from the group action of finite pseudo-reflection groups. Such quotient domains are known to be biholomorphic to the proper image $\theta(\bD^d)$ of $\bD^d$ under certain polynomial map $\theta: \bD^d \to \theta(\bD^d)$. The main contributions of this paper are as follows: 1) We show that the closed algebra generated by inner functions on $\theta(\bD^d)$ forms a proper subalgebra of $H^\infty(\theta(\bD^d))$, the algebra of bounded holomorphic functions on $\theta(\bD^d)$. This in particular shows that Marshall's theorem, which states that the algbera generated by rational inner functions on the disc is the algebra of bounded analytic functions on $\bD$, does not hold in these domains. En route, we also shed some light on the Shilov boundary corresponding to $H^\infty(\theta(\bD^d))$. 2) The structure of rational inner functions on $\theta(\bD^d)$ is found. 3) The set of all rational inner functions on $\theta(\bD^d)$ is shown to be dense in the norm-unit ball of $H^\infty(\theta(\bD^d))$ with respect to the uniform compact-open topology, thereby proving the Carathéodory approximation result. 4) As an application of the Carathéodory approximation theorem, we approximate holomorphic functions on $\theta(\bD^d)$ that are continuous in the closure of ${\theta(\bD^d)}$ by convex combinations of rational inner functions in the $L^2 $-norm, thereby obtaining a version of the Fisher's theorem.

Bourgain, have proved useful in the study related to the Strichartz estimate and the non-linear Schrödinger equation. In this article, by cleverly mixing the norm structures of grand Lebesgue spaces and Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces and adding an extra exponent , the authors introduce a new class of function spaces, called generalized grand Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces . The authors explore their various real-variable properties including pre-dual spaces and the Gagliardo–Peetre and the ± interpolation theorems. Via establishing some equivalent quasi-norms of related to Muckenhoupt -weights, the authors then obtain an extrapolation theorem of . Applying this extrapolation theorem, the Calderón product, and the sparse family of dyadic grids of , the authors establish the sharp boundedness on of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator, the fractional integral, and the Calderón–Zygmund operator.

Abstract:It is shown in this paper that under a mild condition, an analogous version of Szegö’s theorem on Hardy spaces induced by rotation-invariant measures on the closed unit disk is true. This leads to a natural connection between cyclic vectors on these spaces and function-theoretic invariants involving these spaces.

Abstract:For two types of moderate growth representations of $(\mathbb{R}^d,+)$ on sequentially complete locally convex Hausdorff spaces (including F-representations [J. Funct. Anal. 262 (2012), 667-681], we introduce Denjoy-Carleman classes of ultradifferentiable vectors and show a strong factorization theorem of Dixmier-Malliavin type for them. In particular, our factorization theorem solves [Conjecture 6.; J. Funct. Anal. 262 (2012), 667-681] for analytic vectors of representations of $G =(\mathbb{R}^d,+)$. As an application, we show that various convolution algebras and modules of ultradifferentiable functions satisfy the strong factorization property.
