Abstract:In this paper,we present some results for discrete\|time Hopfield neural networks,which extend the stability results and existence criteria of 2\|period limit cycles given by previous authors.These results are proved strictly here.Furthermore,we propose new conceps on the stability and limit cycles of part neurons in a network,and related criteria.Several examples are given to illustrate the complexity of the asymptoticall behavior of this kind of networks.

Abstract:The global asymptotic stability of non-autonomous delayed neural networks is discussed in this paper. By utilizing a delay differential inequality, we present several sufficient conditions which guarantee the asymptotic stability. Since these conditions do not impose differentiability on delay function, they are less conservative than some established in the earlier references. The results show that this approach is more straightforward and effective for stability analysis compared with the method of Lyapunov functionals which has been successfully applied the in the literature.

Abstract:The global stability properties was discussed for the neutral-type Hopfield neural networks with discrete and distributed time-varying delays .Based on the Lyapunov functional stability analysis and the linear matrix inequality approach, a new sufficient condition was derived to assure the global stability properties of the equilibrium. The criterion improved and extended the results of literature, and has less conservative.

Abstract:The global convergence and asymptotic stability of Hopfield neural networks are known to be bases of successful applications of networks in various computing and recognition tasks. However, all previous studies on the networks assumed that the interconnection matrix is symmetric or antisymmetric. In this paper the two fundamental properties of the networks are studied without a symmetry assumption. It is proved that the networks will be globally convergent to a stable state if the interconnection matrix is weakly diagonally dominant in a sense to be defined. Furthermore, under any one of conditions assuring global convergence of the network, the maximal attraction radius of any one of stable states is found to be half of the distribution distance of the state to the network. The obtained results not only generalize the existing results, but also provide a theoretical foundation of performance analysis and new applications of the Hopfield networks.

Abstract:In this paper, we analyze the stability of distributed Hopfield neural networks. Distributed parameter Hopfield neural networks model is established by PDEs so state space of the controlled system belongs infinity dimensions, which is different from ODEs and DAEs models. Reaction-Diffusion Hopfield neural networks model is a new class of net systems which exist widely in control science, intelligent computation, cells of neurology and biology mathematica. Most of papers about Hopfield neural networks apply average Lyapunov function and M-matrix theory to study stability. Now, we use operator spectral theory to obtain stability of the system, which does not need complex calculation. At last, we make some simulations verify our criterions.

Abstract:The discrete Hopfield neural network is a special kind of feedback neural networks. The stability of (recurrent) neural networks is not only known to be one of the mostly basic problems, but also known to be bases of the network various applications. The dynamic behavior of discrete Hopfield neural network is mainly studied in (partial) parallel mode by the use of the state transition equation and the energy function. One counter-example is (given) to illustrate one previous result in reference being error, and some new sufficient conditions for the networks converging towards stable states are investigated. The obtained results here further generalize some existing results on stability of the networks.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss dynamical behaviors of recurrently asymmetrically connected neural networks in detail. We propose an effective approach to study global and local stability of the networks. Many of well known existing results are unified in our framework, which gives much better test conditions for global and local stability. Sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of the equilibrium point and its stability conditions are given, too.

Abstract:Asymptotic characteristic of solution of the stochastic functional differential equation was discussed and sufficient condition was established by multiple Lyapunov functions for locating the limit set of the solution. Moreover, from them many effective criteria on stochastic asymptotic stability, which enable us to construct the Lyapunov functions much more easily in application, were obtained. The results show that the well-known classical theorem on stochastic asymptotic stability is a special case of our more general results. In the end, application in stochastic Hopfield neural networks is given to verify our results.

Abstract:This paper presents some new results for the absolute stability of Hopfield neural networks with activation functions chosen from sigmoidal functions which have unbounded derivatives. Detailed discussions are also given to the relation and difference of absolute stabilities between neural networks and Lurie systems with multiple nonlinear controls. Although the basic idea of the absolute stability of neural networks comes from that of Lurie control systems, it provides a very useful practical model for the study of Lurie control systems.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the uniform asymptotic stability, global asymptotic stability and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point of Hopfield neural networks with delays and impulsive perturbation. Some new stability criteria for such system are derived by using the Lyapunov functional method and the linear matrix inequality approach. The results are related to the size of delays and impulses. Our results are less restrictive and conservative than that given in some earlier references. Finally, two numerical examples showing the effectiveness of the present criteria are given.

Abstract:In this paper,A sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point for the class of delayed neural networks is established according to Lyapunov function. Its proof and three corollaries are described in detail. The results are applicable to both symmetric and asymmetric associated matrices and also valid for a neural network that may employ activation functions with zero slope. Two examples are given to illustrate that this criterion is more applicable and less conservative than the existing ones.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the problem of global and robust stability of a class of interval Hopfield neural networks that have time-varying delays. Some criteria for the global and robust stability of such networks are derived, by means of constructing suitable Lyapunov functionals for the networks. As a by-product, for the conventional Hopfield neural networks with time-varying delays, we also obtain some new criteria for their global and asymptotic stability.
