Abstract:MicroRNAs are highly evolutionarily conserved non-coding 18-25-nucleotide-length ribonucleic acids,which can regulate the key target gene expression at a post-transcription level.Recently,a great number of studies have uncovered that miR-761 is involved in the division,fusion aud synthesis of mitochondria and plays a crucial suppressive or promotive role in different kinds of carcinomas.Besides,miR-761 is closely related to cardiovascular disease,hippocampal neuron shaping and development.This article reviews the research progress of miR-761.
