Status and Countermeasures of Stomatological Education in Guangdong

Abstract:The number and size of stomatology or dentistry departments have been increased dra- matically within past years, which further challenge the quality of dental education. In this article, the au- thor gives a brief analysis of the present or potential problems of dental education basing upon the reality of Guangdong education resources, and proposes the constructive methods to guarantee the quality of educa- tion, including: ensuring the orientation of the college as well as the goal of dental education, strengthening the building of teachers' team, intensifying the pre-clinical skll trainings and training centers, constructing an overaU evaluation system to trace the whole teaching activities and outcomes. All above solutions are taken to guarantee the steady improvement of education quality.
