Development Strategies of Health Professional Education in an Era of Population Ageing in China

Abstract:Health professional education in China faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities because of the increasing serious ageing problem.In this article,the authors summarized the current status and tendency of population ageing,analyzed the impact of population ageing on health professional education and problems in geriatric health professional education in China,introduced relevant international experiences,and put forward several suggestions on developing geriatric health professional education in the country.
