Abstract:Bronchial asthma (asthma) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are common respiratory diseases, both of which can be referred to as obstructive pulmonary disease (OLD).Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common disease usually interacting with OLD.The two kinds of diseases have common risk factors such as obesity, smoking, increased airway resistance, local and systemic inflammation,anti-inflammatory drugs, and so on.When the two dieases combined, the prognosis of patients is worse, thus Some scholars put forward the new concept of " OLD-OSA syndrome".Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) can be used to treat this mutually reinforcing malignant pathophysiological process, and intermittent hypoxia induced neuroplasticity can improve the compliance of patients with CPAP,which is beneficial to improve the condition of OLD-OSA syndrome.
