Abstract:An A(infinity)-algebra is a natural generalization of an associative algebra. We provide some examples and applications of A(infinity)-algebras and show that A(infinity)-algebras can be used to solve problems in ring theory.

Abstract:Let A be a connected graded algebra and let E denote its Ext-algebra. There is a natural A-infinity algebra structure on E, and we prove that this structure is mainly determined by the relations of A. In particular, the coefficients of the A-infinity products m_n restricted to the tensor powers of Ext^1 give the coefficients of the relations of A. We also relate the m_n's to Massey products.

Abstract:Let A be a bi-Koszul algebra. We describe all possible A∞-algebra structures on the Ext-algebra E(A) and prove that E(A) must be [m2,m3]-finitely generated. We give an equivalent description of the condition for a connected graded algebra to be a bi-Koszul algebra in the language of A∞-algebras. We discuss decomposition in the case that E(A) is endowed with minimal number of multiplications.
Koszul Equivalences in $A_\infty$-Algebras

Abstract:We prove a version of Koszul duality and the induced derived equivalence for Adams connected $A_\infty$-algebras that generalizes the classical Beilinson-Ginzburg-Soergel Koszul duality. As an immediate consequence, we give a version of the Bern\v{s}te{\u\i}n-Gel'fand-Gel'fand correspondence for Adams connected $A_\infty$-algebras. We give various applications. For example, a connected graded algebra $A$ is Artin-Schelter regular if and only if its Ext-algebra $\Ext^\ast_A(k,k)$ is Frobenius. This generalizes a result of Smith in the Koszul case. If $A$ is Koszul and if both $A$ and its Koszul dual $A^!$ are noetherian satisfying a polynomial identity, then $A$ is Gorenstein if and only if $A^!$ is. The last statement implies that a certain Calabi-Yau property is preserved under Koszul duality.

Abstract:An A-infinity bialgebra of type (m,n) is a Hopf algebra H equipped with a "compatible" operation \omega : H^{\otimes m} \to H^{\otimes n} of positive degree. We determine the structure relations for A-infinity bialgebras of type (m,n) and construct a purely algebraic example for each m \geq 2 and m+n \geq 4.

Abstract:Extending work of Saneblidze-Umble and others, we use diagonals for the associahedron and multiplihedron to define tensor products of A-infinity algebras, modules, algebra homomorphisms, and module morphisms, as well as to define a bimodule analogue of twisted complexes (type DD structures, in the language of bordered Heegaard Floer homology) and their one- and two-sided tensor products. We then give analogous definitions for 1-parameter deformations of A-infinity algebras; this involves another collection of complexes. These constructions are relevant to bordered Heegaard Floer homology.

Abstract:We develop the deformation theory of A_\infty algebras together with \infty inner products and identify a differential graded Lie algebra that controls the theory. This generalizes the deformation theories of associative algebras, A_\infty algebras, associative algebras with inner products, and A_\infty algebras with inner products.

Abstract:Given an Artinian algebra A over a field k, there are several combinatorial objects associated to A. They are the diagram D-A as defined by Drozd and Kirichenko, the natural quiver Delta(A) defined by Li (cf. Section 2), and a generalized version of k-species (A/r, r/r(2)) with r being the Jacobson radical of A. When A is splitting over the field k, the diagram D-A and the well-known Ext-quiver Gamma(A) are the same. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the relations among these combinatorial objects and in turn to use these relations to give a characterization of the algebra A.

Abstract:We discuss general properties of $A_\infty$-algebras and their applications to the theory of open strings. The properties of cyclicity for $A_\infty$-algebras are examined in detail. We prove the decomposition theorem, which is a stronger version of the minimal model theorem, for $A_\infty$-algebras and cyclic $A_\infty$-algebras and discuss various consequences of it. In particular it is applied to classical open string field theories and it is shown that all classical open string field theories on a fixed conformal background are cyclic $A_\infty$-isomorphic to each other. The same results hold for classical closed string field theories, whose algebraic structure is governed by cyclic $L_\infty$-algebras.

Abstract:The concepts of a dihedral and a reflexive module with $\infty$-simplicial faces are introduced. For each involutive $A_\infty$-algebra, the dihedral and the reflexive tensor modules with $\infty$-simplicial faces are constructed. On the basis of dihedral and reflexive modules with $\infty$-simplicial faces that defined by an involutive $A_\infty$-algebra the constructions of the dihedral and the reflexive homology of involutive $A_\infty$-algebras over any unital commutative rings are given. The conception of an involutive homotopy unital $A_\infty$-algebra is introduced. A long exact sequence that connecting the dihedral and the reflexive homology of involutive homotopically unital $A_\infty$-algebras over any unital commutative rings is constructed.

Abstract:A ring R is called generalized Abelian if for each idempotent e in R, eR and (1- e)R have no isomorphic nonzero summands. The class of generalized Abelian rings properly contains the class of Abelian rings. We denote by GAERS - 1 the class of generalized Abelian exchange rings with stable range 1. In this article we prove, by introducing Boolean algebras, that for any R epsilon GAERS - 1, the Grothendieck group K-0(R) is always an Archimedean lattice-ordered group, and hence is torsion free and unperforated, which generalizes the corresponding results of Abelian exchange rings. Our main technical tool is the use of the ordered structure of K-0(R)(+), which provides a new method in the study of Grothendieck groups.

Abstract:Recently, a new generalized family of infinite-dimensional algebras, each associated with a particular element of a commutative subalgebra of the algebra, was described. This paper provides a comprehensive account of the aforementioned association, accompanied by the requisite proofs and illustrative examples. This approach allows a derivation of Ward identities for selected WLZZ matrix models and the expansion of corresponding -operators in terms of an infinite set of variables .

Abstract:We study operator algebras associated to integral domains. In particular, with respect to a set of natural identities we look at the possible nonselfadjoint operator algebras which encode the ring structure of an integral domain. We show that these algebras give a new class of examples of semicrossed products by discrete semigroups. We investigate the structure of these algebras together with a particular class of representations.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to give a brief introduction to the category of Lie Rinehart algebras and introduces the concept of smooth manifolds associated with a unitary, commutative, associative algebra A. It especially shows that the A-extended algebra as well as the action algebra can be realized a the space of A-left invariant vector fields on a Lie group, analogous to the well known relationship of Lie algebras and Lie groups.

Abstract:Here we announce the construction and properties of a big commutative subalgebra of the Kirillov algebra attached to a finite dimensional irreducible representation of a complex semisimple Lie group. They are commutative finite flat algebras over the cohomology of the classifying space of the group. They are isomorphic with the equivariant intersection cohomology of affine Schubert varieties, endowing them with a new ring structure. Study of the finer aspects of the structure of the big algebras will also furnish the stalks of the intersection cohomology with ring structure, thus ringifying Lusztig's q-weight multiplicity polynomials i.e. affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.

Abstract:We prove, over any base ring, that the infinity-category of strictly unital A-infinity-categories (and strictly unital functors) is equivalent to the infinity-category of unital A-infinity-categories (and unital functors). Abstract:We introduce an associative algebra $A^{\infty}(V)$ using infinite matrices with entries in a grading-restricted vertex algebra $V$ such that the associated graded space $Gr(W)=\coprod_{n\in \mathbb{N}}Gr_{n}(W)$ of a filtration of a lower-bounded generalized $V$-module $W$ is an $A^{\infty}(V)$-module satisfying additional properties (called a graded $A^{\infty}(V)$-module). We prove that a lower-bounded generalized $V$-module $W$ is irreducible or completely reducible if and only if the graded $A^{\infty}(V)$-module $Gr(W)$ is irreducible or completely reducible, respectively. We also prove that the set of equivalence classes of the lower-bounded generalized $V$-modules are in bijection with the set of the equivalence classes of graded $A^{\infty}(V)$-modules. For $N\in \mathbb{N}$, there is a subalgebra $A^{N}(V)$ of $A^{\infty}(V)$ such that the subspace $Gr^{N}(W)=\coprod_{n=0}^{N}Gr_{n}(W)$ of $Gr(W)$ is an $A^{N}(V)$-module satisfying additional properties (called a graded $A^{N}(V)$-module). We prove that $A^{N}(V)$ are finite dimensional when $V$ is of positive energy (CFT type) and $C_{2}$-cofinite. We prove that the set of the equivalence classes of lower-bounded generalized $V$-modules is in bijection with the set of the equivalence classes of graded $A^{N}(V)$-modules. In the case that $V$ is a Möbius vertex algebra and the differences between the real parts of the lowest weights of the irreducible lower-bounded generalized $V$-modules are less than or equal to $N\in \mathbb{N}$, we prove that a lower-bounded generalized $V$-module $W$ of finite length is irreducible or completely reducible if and only if the graded $A^{N}(V)$-module $Gr^{N}(W)$ is irreducible or completely reducible, respectively.
