Abstract:Let $M$ be a closed surface and let $\{g_s \ | \ s \in (-\epsilon, \epsilon)\}$ be a smooth one-parameter family of Riemannian metrics on $M$. Also let $\{\kappa_s : M \rightarrow \mathbb{R} \ | \ s \in (-\epsilon, \epsilon)\}$ be a smooth one-parameter family of functions on $M$. Then the family $\{(g_s, \kappa_s) \ | \ s \in (-\epsilon, \epsilon)\}$ gives rise to a family of magnetic flows on $TM$. We show that if the magnetic curvatures are negative for $s \in (-\epsilon, \epsilon)$ and the lengths of each periodic orbit remains constant as the parameter $s$ varies, then there exists a smooth family of diffeomorphisms $\{f_s : M \rightarrow M \ | \ s \in (-\epsilon, \epsilon)\}$ such that $f_s^*(g_s) = g_0$ and $f_s^*(\kappa_s) = \kappa_0$. This generalizes a result of Guillemin and Kazhdan to the setting of magnetic flows.

Abstract:We introduce a new method for studying length spectrum rigidity problems based on a combination of ideas from dynamical systems and geometric group theory. This allows us to compare the marked length spectrum of metrics and distance-like functions coming from various geometric origins. Using our new perspective, we provide concise proofs of well-known length spectrum rigidity results and are able to extend classical results to a variety of new settings. Our methods rely on studying Manhattan curves and a coarse geometric analogue of Teichmüller space equipped with a symmetrized version of the Thurston metric.

Abstract:We correct the computation of one Feynman diagram in the three-loop beta functions for the long-range quartic multi-scalar model, originally presented in (2020 J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 53 445008) [<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2007.04603" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2007.04603">arXiv:2007.04603</a>]. The correction requires the use of a different method than in the original paper, and we give here full details about the method. We then report the updated numerics for critical exponents of the Ising model, vector model, cubic model and bifundamental model. Mathematica files for the numerical evaluation of the corrected diagram are provided in ancillary.

Abstract:We show that if $M$ is a closed, connected, oriented surface, and two Anosov magnetic systems on $M$ are conjugate by a volume-preserving conjugacy isotopic to the identity, with their magnetic forms in the same cohomology class, then the metrics are isometric. This extends the recent result by Guillarmou, Lefeuvre, and Paternain to the magnetic setting.

Abstract:In this note, we shall point out that all ``numerically calculations'' and figures in \cite{CaFrLeVa-23} are wrong because these calculations are based on some incorrect formulas. Furthermore, by pointing out several serious errors in \cite{CaFrLeVa-23} and especially by Section 7, Proposition 7.1, Remarks 7.2--7.3, and Section 8 (a result of A. Pierzchalski and B. Ørsted) we show that the conclusions published by Matteo Capoferri, Leonid Friedlander, Michael Levitin and Dmitri Vassiliev (J Geom Anal (2023)33:242) as well as the main ``algorithm'' theory of the book \cite{SaVa-97} are completely wrong. Finally, we explain the correctness of proof of Theorem 1.1 in our paper \cite{Liu-21} by giving some remarks and putting the whole proof in Appendix (see also \cite{Liu-22b} and \cite{Liu-22c}).
