Abstract:The title compound, C(21)H(34)O(4), is a steriod of the pregnane family prepared by the sequential oxidation and reduction of 3β,12β-diacet-oxy-20-ethyl-enedioxy-pregnan-14-ene. The con-formations of the six-membered rings are close to chair forms, while the five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation. All the rings are trans-fused and an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional network.

Abstract:The title compound (common name eplerenone), C24H30O6, is an aldosterone receptor antagonist. From the isopropyl acetate solution the compound crystallizes in monoclinic space group P 21 with a = 8.811(1) Å, b = 11.250(1) Å, c = 11.079(1) Å, β = 93.822(12)°, Z = 2. The molecule contains three six membered rings, two five membered rings and one three membered ring. Both five membered rings display envelope conformation, whereas three six membered rings show different conformation: chair, half-chair and envelope. In the crystal the eplerenone molecules link to one another via intermolecular weak C–H···O hydrogen bonding to form the smaller cavity of 12.0(1) Å3 between eplerenone molecules, no solvent molecule filled in this cavity.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.

Abstract:A steroid W-oxide named 16α,17α-epoxypregn-4-ene-3,20-dione was synthesized by oppenauer oxidation from 3β-hydroxy-16α,17α-epoxypregna-5-en-20-one used as the material,the reaction conditions of the reaction solvent,the oxidizing agent and the catalyst were investigated.The results showed that these medicine dosages affected the yield of Oppenauer oxidation cyclohexanone>n-heptane>aluminium isopropoxide,under the optimization condition that 3β-hydroxy-16α,17α-epoxypregna-5-en-20-one (g):n-heptane (mL):cyclohexanone (mL):aluminium isopropoxide (g) is 1:11:4:0.14,the overall yield of this method was 81.0% and HPLC purity more than 98.1%,this condition was suitable for industrial production.
