Abstract:The title compound, C14H14BrNO4, contains a tricyclic ring system including three contiguous stereocenters all of which exhibit an R configuration. The cyclo-hexa-none ring adopts a chair conformation. The central oxane ring assumes a strained envelope conformation, with five of the ring atoms being nearly coplanar with the bromo-phenyl group and with the C atom adjacent to the O atom and fused with the cyclo-hexa-none ring as the flap. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, (1R,2R,3R,5S)-3-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-8-oxa-6-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-7-one, was synthesized and characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. Its absolute molecular configuration was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O. The methyl group and chlorophenyl group are located in the cis configuration. The conformation is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H... O interactions.

Abstract:The title compound (common name eplerenone), C24H30O6, is an aldosterone receptor antagonist. From the isopropyl acetate solution the compound crystallizes in monoclinic space group P 21 with a = 8.811(1) Å, b = 11.250(1) Å, c = 11.079(1) Å, β = 93.822(12)°, Z = 2. The molecule contains three six membered rings, two five membered rings and one three membered ring. Both five membered rings display envelope conformation, whereas three six membered rings show different conformation: chair, half-chair and envelope. In the crystal the eplerenone molecules link to one another via intermolecular weak C–H···O hydrogen bonding to form the smaller cavity of 12.0(1) Å3 between eplerenone molecules, no solvent molecule filled in this cavity.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.
