Abstract:We establish an asymptotic version of Bismut's local family index theorem for the Bergman kernel. The key idea is to use the superconnection as in the local family index theorem.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a lower bound of Bergman kernels for a sequence of almost Kähler-Einstein Fano manifolds, or more general, a sequence of Fano manifolds with almost Kähler-Ricci solitons. This generalizes a result by Donaldson-Sun, Tian for Kähler-Einstein manifolds sequence with positive scalar curvature. As an application of our result, we prove that the Gromov-Hausdorff limit of sequence is homomorphic to a log terminal Q-Fano variety which admits a Kähler-Ricci soliton on its smooth part.

Abstract:In this note, we explain that Ross-Thomas' result [4, Theorem 1.7] on the weighted Bergman kernels on orbifolds can be directly deduced from our previous result [1]. This result plays an important role in the companion paper [5] to prove an orbifold version of Donaldson theorem.

Abstract:We generalize several recent results concerning the asymptotic expansions of Bergman kernels to the framework of geometric quantization and establish an asymptotic symplectic identification property. More precisely, we study the asymptotic expansion of the G-invariant Bergman kernel of the spin c Dirac operator associated with high tensor powers of a positive line bundle on a symplectic manifold admitting a Hamiltonian action of a compact connected Lie group G. We also develop a way to compute the coefficients of the expansion, and compute the first few of them, especially, we obtain the scalar curvature of the reduction space from the G-invariant Bergman kernel on the total space. These results generalize the corresponding results in the non-equivariant setting, which have played a crucial role in the recent work of Donaldson on stability of projective manifolds, to the geometric quantization setting. As another kind of application, we establish some Toeplitz operator type properties in semi-classical analysis in the framework of geometric quantization. The method we use is inspired by Local Index Theory, especially by the analytic localization techniques developed by Bismut and Lebeau. © Astérisque 318, SMF 2008.

Abstract:We prove a graph theoretic closed formula for coefficients in the Tian-Yau-Zelditch asymptotic expansion of the Bergman kernel. The formula is expressed in terms of the characteristic polynomial of the directed graphs representing Weyl invariants. The proof relies on a combinatorial interpretation of a recursive formula due to M. Engliš and A. Loi.

Abstract:We introduce the fiberwise Bergman kernel for a flat family of polarized varieties over a Riemann surface, which extends the classical Bergman kernel defined on the reduced fibers. We establish the continuity of the fiberwise Bergman kernel and provide a result on uniform convergence for the Fubini-Study currents. As a consequence, we show that the fiberwise Bergman kernel on test configurations exhibits continuity, and the Fubini-Study currents converge uniformly.

Abstract:We establish local asymptotic estimates of partial Bergman kernels on closed, $S^1$-symmetric Kähler manifolds. The main result concerns the scaling asymptotics of partial Bergman kernels at generic off-diagonal points in which they are not negligible. The case of the two-dimensional sphere is discussed in detail.

Abstract:T. Ohsawa and K. Takegoshi [16] proved the Ohsawa-Takegoshi L2 extension theorem, which turns out to be useful in several complex variables and complex geometry. B. Berndtsson and M. Păun [2] proved the L2/m version of Ohsawa-Takegoshi theorem for m ∈ N. Recently, Qi’an Guan and Xiangyu Zhou [9] obtained optimal estimate for Lp (0 < p ≤ 2) extension as an application of their solution of a sharp L2 extension problem. In the present paper, we study the p-Bergman kernels for bounded domains in Cn, and apply Lp extension theorem to give some properties of p-Bergman kernels. Abstract:We give a purely complex geometric proof of the existence of the Bergman kernel expansion. Our method provides a sharper estimate, and in the case that the metrics are real analytic, we prove that the remainder decays faster than any polynomial.

Abstract:Fefferman [22] initiated a program of expressing the asymptotic expansion of the boundary singularity of the Bergman kernel for strictly pseudoconvex domains explicitly in terms of boundary invariants. Hirachi, Komatsu and Nakazawa [30] carried out computations of the first few terms of Fefferman's asymptotic expansion building partly on Graham's work on CR invariants and Nakazawa's work on the asymptotic expansion of the Bergman kernel for strictly pseudoconvex complete Reinhardt domains. In this paper, we prove a formula for coefficients in Nakazawa's asymptotic expansion as explicit summations over strongly connected graphs, and a formula expressing partial derivatives of Kahler metrics (resp. functions) as summations over rooted trees encoding covariant derivatives of curvature tensors (resp. functions). These formulae shall be useful in studying general patterns of Fefferman's asymptotic expansion.

Abstract:Let {D-k}, k = 1, 2, ..., be a sequence of bounded pseudoconvex domains that converges, in the sense of Boas, to a bounded domain D. We show that if partial derivative D can be described locally as the graph of a continuous function in suitable coordinates for C-n, then the Bergman kernel of D-k converges to the Bergman kernel of D uniformly on compact subsets of D x D.

Abstract:On a two dimensional Stein space with isolated, normal singularities, smooth finite type boundary, and locally algebraic Bergman kernel, we establish an estimate on the type of the boundary in terms of the local algebraic degree of the Bergman kernel. As an application, we characterize two dimensional ball quotients as the only Stein spaces with smooth finite type boundary and locally rational Bergman kernel. A key ingredient in the proof of the degree estimate is a new localization result for the Bergman kernel of a pseudoconvex, finite type domain in a complex manifold.

Abstract:We prove nontangential asymptotic limits of the Bergman kernel on the diagonal, and the Bergman metric and its holomorphic sectional curvature at exponentially flat infinite type boundary points of smooth bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$, $n\in\mathbb{N}$. We first show that these objects satisfy appropriate localizations and then use the method of scaling to complete the proof.

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain some properties of the p-Bergman kernels by applying L-p extension theorem. We prove that for any bounded domain in C-n, it is pseudoconvex if and only if its p-Bergman kernel is an exhaustion function, for any p is an element of (0, 2). As an application, we give a negative answer to a conjecture of Tsuji.
