Abstract:We outline a proof of a remarkable conjecture of Labastida-Mari{\~n}o-Ooguri-Vafa about certain new algebraic structures of quantum link invariants and the integrality of infinite family of new topological invariants. Our method is based on the cut-and-join analysis and a special rational ring characterizing the structure of the Chern-Simons partition function.

In this note, we study a transition probability on the finite words space of an iterated function system, whose invariant set is the unit interval. Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notions of an iterated planar Lefschetz fibration and an iterated planar open book decomposition and prove the Weinstein conjecture for contact manifolds supporting an open book that has iterated planar pages. For $n\geq 1$, we show that a $(2n+1)$-dimensional contact manifold $M$ supporting an iterated planar open book decomposition satisfies the Weinstein conjecture.

Abstract:Based on the works of Gursky (CMP, 1997), Vétois (Potential Anal., 2023) and Case (Crelle's journal, 2024), we make use of an Obata type formula established in these works to obtain some Liouville type theorems on conformally Einstein manifolds. In particular, we solve Hang-Yang conjecture (IMRN, 2020) via an Obata-type argument and obtain optimal perturbation.

Abstract:Counterexamples are presented to weighted forms of the Weiss conjecture in discrete and continuous time. In particular, for certain ranges of $\alpha$, operators are constructed that satisfy a given resolvent estimate, but fail to be $\alpha$-admissible. For $\alpha \in (-1,0)$ the operators constructed are normal, while for $\alpha \in (0,1)$ the operator is the unilateral shift on the Hardy space $H^2(\mathbb{D})$.

Abstract:We produce a new proof of the reciprocity law for the twisted second moment of Dirichlet L-functions that was recently proved by Conrey. Our method is to analyze certain two-variable sums where the variables satisfy a linear congruence. We show that these sums satisfy an elegant reciprocity formula. In the case that the modulus is prime, these sums are closely related to the twisted second moment, and the reciprocity formula for these sums implies Conrey's reciprocity formula. We also extend the range of uniformity of Conrey's formula.

Abstract:There were two famous conjectures on complete affine maximal surfaces, one due to E. Calabi, the other to S.S. Chern. Both were solved with different methods about one decade ago by studying the associated Euler-Lagrange equation. Here we survey two proofs of Chern's conjecture in our recent monograph [L-X-S-J], in particular we add some details of the proofs of auxiliary material that were omitted in [L-X-S-J]. We describe the related background in our Introduction. Our survey is suitable as a report about recent developments and techniques in the study of certain Monge-Ampere equations.
