Abstract:In this paper, we derive apriori estimates for constant scalar curvature Kähler metrics on a compact Kähler manifold. We show that higher order derivatives can be estimated in terms of a C bound for the Kähler potential. We also discuss some local versions of these estimates which can be of independent interest.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the problem of conformally deforming a metric to a prescribed kth order symmetric function of the eigenvalues of the Schouten tensor on compact Riemannian manifolds with totally geodesic boundary. We prove the solvability of the problem and the compactness of the solution set for the case k >= n/2, provided the conformal class admits a k-admissible metric. These results have been proved by Gursky and Viaclovsky, Trudinger and Wang for the manifolds without boundary, and by Jin et al. and S. Chen for the locally conformally flat manifolds with boundary.

Abstract:In this paper, we apply our previous estimates in Chen and Cheng [ On the constant scalar curvature Kähler metrics (I): a priori estimates , Preprint] to study the existence of cscK metrics on compact Kähler manifolds. First we prove that the properness of K K -energy in terms of L 1 L^1 geodesic distance d 1 d_1 in the space of Kähler potentials implies the existence of cscK metrics. We also show that the weak minimizers of the K K -energy in ( E 1 , d 1 ) (\mathcal {E}^1, d_1) are smooth cscK potentials. Finally we show that the non-existence of cscK metric implies the existence of a destabilized L 1 L^1 geodesic ray where the K K -energy is non-increasing, which is a weak version of a conjecture by Donaldson. The continuity path proposed by Xiuxiong Chen [Ann. Math. Qué. 42 (2018), pp. 69–189] is instrumental in the above proofs.

Abstract:The conformai properties of complex Finsler metrics are studied. We first give a characterization of a compact complex Finsler manifold to be globally conformai Kahler. By considering the total holomorphic curvature and total Ricci curvature in the volume preserved conformal classes, we then study the variational properties of Kahler Finsler metrics. By studying the spectral properties of two average metrics, the stabilities of critical Kähler Finsler metrics are verified. Finally, a Yamabe type problem for mean holomorphic Ricci curvature is considered, and a partial existence result is obtained.

Abstract:Let $X$ be a compact Kähler manifold. In this paper we study the existence of constant weighted scalar curvature Kähler (weighted cscK) metrics on $X$. More precisely, we establish a priori $C^{k}$-estimates ($k\geq 0$) for the Kähler potential associated with these metrics, thereby extending a result due to Chen and Cheng in the classical cscK setting.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive estimates for scalar curvature type equations with more singular right hand side. As an application, we prove Donaldson's conjecture on the equivalence between geodesic stability and existence of cscK when $Aut_0(M,J)\neq0$. Moreover, we also show that when $Aut_0(M,J)\neq0$, the properness of $K$-energy with respect to a suitably defined distance implies the existence of cscK.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce the interpolation-degneration strategy to study Kahler-Einstein metrics on a smooth Fano manifold with cone singularities along a smooth divisor that is proportional to the anti-canonical divisor. By interpolation we show the angles in (0,2�) that admit a conical Kahler-Einstein metric form an interval; and by degeneration we figure out the boundary of the interval. As a first application, we show that there exists a Kahler-Einstein metric on P 2 with cone singularity along a smooth conic (degree 2) curve if and only if the angle is in (�/2,2�). When the an- gle is 2�/3 this proves the existence of a Sasaki-Einstein metric on the link of a three dimensional A2 singularity, and thus answers a problem posed by Gauntlett-Martelli- Sparks-Yau. As a second application we prove a version of Donaldson's conjecture about conical Kahler-Einstein metrics in the toric case using Song-Wang's recent existence result of toric invariant conical Kahler-Einstein metrics.

Abstract:We prove that constant scalar curvature K\"ahler metric "adjacent" to a fixed K\"ahler class is unique up to isomorphism. This extends the uniqueness theorem of Donaldson and Chen-Tian, and formally fits into the infinite dimensional G.I.T picture described by Donaldson. We prove that the Calabi flow near a cscK metric exists globally and converges uniformly to a cscK metric in a polynomial rate. Viewed in a K\"ahler class, the Calabi flow is also shown to be asymptotic to a smooth geodesic ray at infinity. This latter fact is also interesting in the finite dimensional analogue, where we show that the downward gradient flow of the Kempf-Ness function in a semi-stable orbit is asymptotic to the direction of optimal degeneration.

Abstract:In their seminal work (\cite{CC}, \cite{CC2}), Chen and Cheng proved apriori estimates for the constant scalar curvature metrics on compact Kähler manifolds. They also prove $C^{3,\alpha}$-estimate for the potential of the Kähler metrics under boundedness assumption on the scalar curvature and the entropy. The goal of this paper is to replace the uniform boundedness of the scalar curvature to the $L^p$-boundedness of the scalar curvature.

The aim is to study complete constant scalar curvature Kiihler metrics on non-compact Kiihler manifold X - S with Poincare-Mok-Yau asymptotic property (see Definition 1.1). On the Existence of Constant Scalar Curvature Kähler Metric: a New Perspective

Abstract:In this note, we introduce a new continuity path of fourth order nonlinear equations connecting the cscK equation to a second order elliptic equation, which is the critical point equation of the J-flow introduced by Donaldson (Asian J Math 3(1):1–16, 1999) and the author (Commun Anal Geom 12(4):837–852, 2004). This is a generalization of the classical Aubin continuity path for Kähler–Einstein metrics. The aim of this new path is to attack the existence problem of cscK metric. The “openness” along this continuity path is proved and a set of open problems associated with this new path is proposed.

Abstract:We obtain a priori estimates for solutions to the prescribing scalar curvature equation[GRAPHICS]on S-n for n greater than or equal to 3. There have been a series of results in this respect. To obtain a priori estimates people required that the function R(x) be positive and bounded away from 0. This technical assumption has been used by many authors for quite a few years. It is due to the fact that the standard blowing-up analysis fails near R(x) = 0. The main objective of this paper is to remove this well-known assumption. Using the method of moving planes, we are able to control the growth of the solutions in the region where R is negative and in the region where R is small, and thus obtain a priori estimates on the solutions of (1) for a general function R which is allowed to change signs.

Abstract:We develop an integral approach to obtain interior a priori $C^{1,1}$ estimates for convex solutions of prescribing scalar curvature equations $\sigma_2(\kappa) = f(x)$ as well as the Hessian equations $\sigma_2(D^2u) = f(x)$. This new approach can deal with the case when $f$ is of weaker regularity. As a result, we prove that the $C^{1,1}$ modules of the solutions depend only on the Lipschitz modules of $f(x)$, instead of the $\|f\|_{C^k}$ for some $k\geq 2$ in all the papers we have known up to now.
