Abstract:It has been proved in Lee and Schiffler, Ann. of Math. 182(1) 73–125 2015 that cluster variables of all skew-symmetric cluster algebras are positive. i.e., every cluster variable as a Laurent polynomial in the cluster variables of any fixed cluster has positive coefficients. We prove that every regular generalized cluster variable of an affine quiver is positive. As a corollary, we obtain that generalized cluster variables of affine quivers are positive and we also construct various positive bases. This generalizes the results in Dupont, J. Algebra Appl. 11(4) 19 2012 and Ding et al. Algebr. Represent. Theory 16(2) 491–525 2013.

Abstract:For a skew-symmetrizable cluster algebra ${\mathcal{A}}_{t_{0}}$ with principal coefficients at $t_{0}$, we prove that each seed $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F4}_{t}$ of ${\mathcal{A}}_{t_{0}}$ is uniquely determined by its $C$-matrix, which was proposed by Fomin and Zelevinsky (Compos. Math. 143 (2007), 112–164) as a conjecture. Our proof is based on the fact that the positivity of cluster variables and sign coherence of $c$-vectors hold for ${\mathcal{A}}_{t_{0}}$, which was actually verified in Gross et al. (Canonical bases for cluster algebras, J. Amer. Math. Soc. 31(2) (2018), 497–608). Further discussion is provided in the sign-skew-symmetric case so as to obtain a weak version of the conjecture in this general case.
The Enough G-Pairs Property and Denominator Vectors of Cluster Algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the enough g-pairs property for principal coefficients cluster algebras, which can be understood as a strong version of the sign-coherence of the G-matrices. Then we prove that any skew-symmetrizable principal coefficients cluster algebra has the enough g-pairs property. As applications, we prove some long standing conjectures in cluster algebras, including a conjecture on denominator vectors and a conjecture on exchange graphs (see Conjectures 1, 2 below). In addition, we give a criterion to distinguish whether particular cluster variables belong to one common cluster for any skew-symmetrizable cluster algebra. As a corollary, we prove a conclusion which was conjectured by Fomin et al., cf. (Acta Math 201(1):83–146, 2008, Conjecture 5.5).
Positivity for quantum cluster algebras from orbifolds

Abstract:Let $(S,M,U)$ be a marked orbifold with or without punctures and let $\mathcal A_v$ be a quantum cluster algebra from $(S,M,U)$ with arbitrary coefficients and quantization. We provide combinatorial formulas for quantum Laurent expansion of quantum cluster variables of $\mathcal A_v$ concerning an arbitrary quantum seed. Consequently, the positivity for the quantum cluster algebra $\mathcal A_v$ is proved.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Nakano-positivity and dual-Nakano-positivity of certain adjoint vector bundles associated to ample vector bundles. As applications, we get new vanishing theorems about ample vector bundles. For example, we prove that if $E$ is an ample vector bundle over a compact K\"ahler manifold $X$, $S^kE\ts \det E$ is both Nakano-positive and dual-Nakano-positive for any $k\geq 0$. Moreover, $H^{n,q}(X,S^kE\ts \det E)=H^{q,n}(X,S^kE\ts \det E)=0$ for any $q\geq 1$. In particular, if $(E,h)$ is a Griffiths-positive vector bundle, the naturally induced Hermitian vector bundle $(S^kE\ts \det E, S^kh\ts \det h)$ is both Nakano-positive and dual-Nakano-positive for any $k\geq 0$.

Abstract:Using the unfolding method given in Huang and Li (Adv. Math. 340 , 221–283 2018 ), we prove the conjectures on sign-coherence and a recurrence formula respectively of g -vectors for acyclic sign-skew-symmetric cluster algebras. As a (following) consequence, the conjecture is affirmed in the same case which states that the g -vectors of any cluster form a basis of ℤ^n . Also, the additive categorification of an acyclic sign-skew-symmetric cluster algebra 𝒜(Σ) is given, which is realized as (𝒞^Q,Γ) for a Frobenius 2-Calabi-Yau category 𝒞^Q constructed from an unfolding ( Q ,Γ) of the acyclic exchange matrix B of 𝒜(Σ) .

Abstract:We mainly introduce an abstract pattern to study cluster algebras. Cluster algebras, generalized cluster algebras and Laurent phenomenon algebras are unified in the language of generalized Laurent phenomenon algebras (briefly, GLP algebras) from the perspective of Laurent phenomenon. In this general framework, we firstly prove that each positive and d-vector-positive GLP algebra has the proper Laurent monomial property and thus its cluster monomials are linearly independent. Skew-symmetric cluster algebras are verified to be d-vector-positive, which gives the affirmation of Conjecture [conjd] in [FZ3] in this case. And since the positivity of skew-symmetric cluster algebras is well-known, the new proof is obtained for the linearly independence of cluster monomials of skew-symmetric cluster algebras. For a class of GLP algebras which are pointed, g-vectors of cluster monomials are defined. We verify that for any positive GLP algebra pointed at $t_0$, the g-vectors ${\bf g}_{1;t}^{t_0},\cdots, {\bf g}_{n;t}^{t_0}$ form a $\mathbb Z$-basis of $\mathbb Z^n$, and different cluster monomials have different g-vectors. As a direct application, we verify that Conjecture [conjg] in [FZ3] holds for skew-symmetrizable cluster algebras and acyclic sign-skew-symmetric cluster algebras.

Abstract:The denominator conjecture, proposed by Fomin and Zelevinsky, says that for a cluster algebra, the cluster monomials are uniquely determined by their denominator vectors with respect to an initial cluster. In this paper, for a cluster algebra from a marked surface with at least three boundary marked points, we establish this conjecture with respect to a given strong admissible tagged triangulation.

Abstract:In a categorification of skew-symmetric cluster algebras, each cluster variable corresponds with an indecomposable module over the associated Jacobian algebra. Buan, Marsh and Reiten studied when the denominator vector of each cluster variable in an acyclic cluster algebra coincides with the dimension vector of the corresponding module. In this paper, we give analogues of their results for cluster algebras from triangulated surfaces by comparing two kinds of intersection numbers of tagged arcs.

Abstract:We prove that any skew-symmetrizable cluster algebra is unistructural, which is a conjecture by Assem, Schiffler and Shramchenko. As a corollary, we obtain that a cluster automorphism of a cluster algebra ${\mathcal{A}}({\mathcal{S}})$ is just an automorphism of the ambient field ${\mathcal{F}}$ which restricts to a permutation of the cluster variables of ${\mathcal{A}}({\mathcal{S}})$.

Abstract:We generalize the positivity conjecture on (Kauffman bracket) skein algebras to Roger–Yang skein algebras. To generalize it, we use Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind to give candidates of positive bases. Moreover, the polynomials form a lower bound in the sense of [9] and [10]. We also discuss a relation between the polynomials and the centers of Roger–Yang skein algebras when the quantum parameter is a complex root of unity.

Abstract:We continue our investigation on denominator conjecture of Fomin and Zelevinsky for cluster algebras via geometric models initialed in \cite{FG22}. In this paper, we confirm the denominator conjecture for cluster algebras of finite type. The new contribution is a proof of this conjecture for cluster algebras of type $\mathbb{D}$ and an algorithm for the exceptional types. For the type $\mathbb{D}$ cases, our approach involves geometric model provided by discs with a puncture. By removing the puncture or changing the puncture to an unmarked boundary component, this also yields an alternative proof for the denominator conjecture of cluster algebras of type $\mathbb{A}$ and $\mathbb{C}$ respectively.

Abstract:In this paper, we define two types of strongly decomposable positivity, which serve as generalizations of (dual) Nakano positivity and are stronger than the decomposable positivity introduced by S. Finski. We provide the criteria for strongly decomposable positivity of type I and type II and prove that the Schur forms of a strongly decomposable positive vector bundle of type I are weakly positive, while the Schur forms of a strongly decomposable positive vector bundle of type II are positive. These answer a question of Griffiths affirmatively for strongly decomposably positive vector bundles. Consequently, we present an algebraic proof of the positivity of Schur forms for (dual) Nakano positive vector bundles, which was initially proven by S. Finski.

Abstract:In 2013, Lee, Li, and Zelevinsky introduced combinatorial objects called compatible pairs to construct the greedy bases for rank-2 cluster algebras, consisting of indecomposable positive elements including the cluster monomials. Subsequently, Rupel extended this construction to the setting of generalized rank-2 cluster algebras by defining compatible gradings. We discover a new class of combinatorial objects which we call tight gradings. Using this, we give a directly computable, manifestly positive, and elementary but highly nontrivial formula describing rank-2 consistent scattering diagrams. This allows us to show that the coefficients of the wall-functions on a generalized cluster scattering diagram of any rank are positive, which implies the Laurent positivity for generalized cluster algebras and the strong positivity of their theta bases.

Abstract:Positivstellens{ä}tze are a group of theorems on the positivity of involution algebras over $\mathbb{R}$ or $\mathbb{C}$. One of the most well-known Positivstellensatz is the solution to Hilbert's 17th problem given by E. Artin, which asserts that a real polynomial in $n$ commutative variables is nonnegative on real affine space if and only if it is a sum of fractional squares. Let $m$ and $n$ be two positive integers. For the free group $F_n$ generated by $n$ letters, and a symmetric polynomial $b$ with variables in $F_n$ and with $n$-by-$n$ complex matrices coefficients, we use real algebraic geometry to give a new proof showing that $b$ is a sum of Hermitian squares if and only if $b$ is mapped to a positive semidefinite matrix under any finitely dimensional unitary representation of $F_n$.

Abstract:It is well known that an element of the algebra of noncommutative *-polynomials is positive in all *-representations if and only if it is a sum of squares. This provides an effective way to determine if a given *-polynomial is positive, by searching through sums of squares decompositions. We show that no such procedure exists for the tensor product of two noncommutative *-polynomial algebras: determining whether a *-polynomial of such an algebra is positive is coRE-hard. We also show that it is coRE-hard to determine whether a noncommutative *-polynomial is trace-positive. Our results hold if noncommutative *-polynomial algebras are replaced by other sufficiently free algebras such as group algebras of free groups or free products of cyclic groups.
