Abstract:in this paper, the measure criterion of intersymbol interference is proposed, which is an expansion of the mean squared eye closure criterion. Using the measure criterion, the accurate numerical analysis about the performance of timing jitter robustness for a few kinds of shaping filter has been done. It is proved that introducing the parameter a can improve the performance of timing jitter roubstness of shaping filter; the larger the parameter is, the better the timing jitter robustness of shaping filter is. For the same parameter α, the result of numerical analysis has shown that the performances of timing jitter robustness of shaping filters using rectangle window to design and that using the DJ (double sides spectrum jump) to design are much better.
