Due to the special petrophysical properties of tight sandstone with low porosity, low permeability and a complex pore structure, the conventional rock physics models of sand-shale and carbonate reservoirs are not applicable. As some parameters are required as a pre-requisite, such as pore aspect ratio, the rock physics model of tight sandstone is still difficult to be applied in the seismic inversion. Fortunately, the naive Bayes classifier can be used to predict petrophysical properties, which avoids the deterministic rock physics modeling. By using the sensitive parameter analysis, an accurate prediction procedure of permeability is proposed in this abstract, and the predicted petrophysical properties have a good match with the real well logging data.Presentation Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2019Session Start Time: 9:20 AMPresentation Time: 9:45 AMLocation: Poster Station 3Presentation Type: PosterKeywords: case history, interpretation, unconventional, permeability, machine learningPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2019-3214691.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2019ISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2019 Pages: 5407 publication data© 2019 Published in electronic format with permission by the Society of Exploration GeophysicistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished Online: 10 Aug 2019 CITATION INFORMATION Pu Wang, Xiaohong Chen, Jingye Li, Wei Song, Kangkang Guo, and Lei Shi, (2019), "A method of permeability prediction for the tight sandstone reservoir," SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts : 2029-2033. https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2019-3214691.1 Plain-Language Summary Keywordscase historyinterpretationunconventionalpermeabilitymachine learningPDF DownloadLoading ...
