Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stability of neural stochastic Hopfield neural networks with time varying delays. Under some reasonable conditions, we obtain some sufficient criteria to check the exponential stability of the considered neural networks.

Abstract:By using the usual additive neural-network model, a delay-independent stability criterion for neural dynamics with perturbations of time-varying delays is derived. We extend previously known results obtained by Gopalsamy and He to the time varying delay case, and present decay estimates of solutions of neural networks. The asymptotic stability is global in the state space of neuronal activations. From the techniques used in this paper, it is shown that our criterion ensures stability of neural dynamics even when the delay functions vary violently with time. Our approach provides an effective method for the stability analysis of neural dynamics with delays.

Abstract:The problem of analysis of robust stability for time-delayed neural networks with nonlinear perturbation has been investigated via Lyapunov stability theory. The sufficient conditions for robust stability of neural networks with time delays have been developed. The exponential stability criterion for neural networks is also derived. The result includes the information on the state convergence degree of the neural networks. The robust stable criterion in this paper is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

Abstract:<p>In this paper, the <em>p</em>th moment exponential stability and almost surely exponential stability of stochastic Hopfield neural networks with discrete and distributed delays are investigated. Some previous works are improved and extended. Our approach is based on constructing a class of integral inequalities and differential inequalities, as well as stochastic analysis techniques. Our results neither require to construct a complicated Lyapunov function nor the differentiability of the delay function. In addition, two examples with their simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the main results.</p>

A sufficient condition which guarantees global exponential stability (GES) of an equilibrium point is given based on the method of variation parameter and inequality technique. Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the stability problem for discrete-time switched neural networks with time-varying delay resorting to the average dwell time method. In terms of linear matrix inequality approach, a delay-dependent sufficient condition of exponential stability is developed for a kind of switching signal with average dwell time. Abstract:In this paper, a class of neutral high-order stochastic Hopfield neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and mixed time delays is investigated. The jumping parameters are modeled as a continuous-time finite-state Markov chain. At first, the existence of equilibrium point for the addressed neural networks is studied. By utilizing the Lyapunov stability theory, stochastic analysis theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, new delay-dependent stability criteria are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities to guarantee the neural networks to be globally exponentially stable in the mean square. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of delay-range-dependent global exponential stability and decay estimation for a class of switched Hopfield neural networks (SHNNs) of neutral type. An average dwell time method is introduced into switched Hopfield neural networks. By constructing a new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and designing a switching law, some criteria are proposed for guaranteeing exponential stability for a given system, while the exponential decay estimation is explicitly developed for the states. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the main results.

Abstract:This paper discusses the exponential stability of periodic solutions for stochastic neural networks with multiple time-varying delays. For these networks, sufficient conditions in the linear matrix inequality forms are rare in the literature. We constructed an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional to eliminate the items with multiple delays and establish some sufficient conditions in linear matrix inequality forms, to ensure exponential stability of the periodic solutions. Several examples are provided to demonstrate that our results are effective and less conservative than previous ones.

Abstract:In this paper, a two-neuron network with different time delays is investigated. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, we obtain the conditions for delay-dependent and delay-independent asymptotic stability, respectively. Furthermore, we find that if the delay is used as a bifurcation parameter, Hopf bifurcation would occur. The direction and stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are determined by using the Nyquist criterion and the graphical Hopf bifurcation theorem. Some examples are included to illustrate our results.

Abstract:In this paper, by utilizing the Lyapunov functional method and combining with the linear matrix inequality approach, we analyze the global asymptotic stability of delayed Hopfield neural networks (HNNs). A new sufficient condition ensuring the global stability of the unique equilibrium point of delayed HNNs is obtained, which is dependent on the size of delays. This condition is less restrictive and conservative than that given in the earlier references. In addition, an example is also provided to illustrate the applicability of the result.

Abstract:Without assuming the boundedness, strict monotonicity and differentiability of the activation functions, the authors utilize the Lyapunov functional method to analyze the global convergence of some delayed models. For the Hopfield neural network with time delays, a new sufficient condition ensuring the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point is derived. This criterion concerning the signs of entries in the connection matrix imposes constraints on the feedback matrix independently of the delay paxameters. From a new viewpoint, the bidirectional associative memory neural network with time delays is investigated and a new global exponential stability result is given.

Abstract:This article concerns the stability issues of neural networks with time-varying delays. The purpose is to establish less conservative stability conditions for delayed neural networks. In order to achieve this goal, a time-varying Lyapunov functional method is proposed for stability analysis of delayed neural networks. The main feature of this method is to construct different Lyapunov functionals in different time-varying delay subintervals, which relaxes the restriction requirement of traditional Lyapunov functionals constructing a common Lyapunov functional in the whole delay interval. Based on the developed time-varying Lyapunov functional, some new stability conditions for delayed neural networks are obtained. Finally, two examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the derived stability conditions.

In terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a novel delay-dependent stability criterion is established for the considered recurrent neural networks via a new Lyapunov function.
