Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To explore the value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of anterosuperior acetabular labral tear.METHODS:A total of 102 patients [(42 males and 60 females, age from 13 to 60 years, average age was (35.14±9.16) years] with suspected anterosuperior acetabular labral tear were included in this study, including 44 left hip joints and 58 right hip joints. All the patients received hip joint ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) evaluation before arthroscopy surgery. Using arthroscopy as golden standard, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy between ultrasound and MRI were calculated and compared.RESULTS:There were 91 antero-superior acetabular labral tears of 102 patients which were confirmed during arthroscopy surgery. Sixty-nine patients were diagnosed correctly by ultrasound, including 60 anterosuperior acetabular labral tears and 9 with no acetabular labral tears, whereas 2 were false-positive and 31 were found to be false-negative. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy by ultrasound were respectively 65.93%, 81.82%, 96.77%, 22.50% and 67.65%. In contrast, seventy-seven patients were diagnosed correctly by MRI, including 70 anterosuperior acetabular labral tears and 7 with no acetabular labral tears, whereas 4 were false-positive and 21 were found to be false-negative. For MRI, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy were respectively 76.92%, 63.64%, 94.59%, 25.00% and 75.49%. The results of ultrasound and MRI were in accordance in 68 of the 102 patients. There were 51 anterosuperior acetabular labral tears of the 68 patients who were diagnosed by both ultrasound and MRI, whereas there were 17 with no acetabular labral tears of the 68 patients who were diagnosed by both ultrasound and MRI. The results of ultrasound and MRI were inconsistent in 34 of the 102 patients. In 11 of the 34 patients, in which case ultrasound diagnosed anterosuperior acetabular labral tear, MRI found no acetabular labral tear. Whereas, in 23 of the 34 patients, in which case MRI diagnosed anterosuperior acetabular labral tear, ultrasound found no acetabular labral tear. As compared with MRI findings, ultrasound had a lower accuracy for anterosuperior acetabular labral tear than MRI, there was statistical difference on the accuracy for anterosuperior acetabular labral tear (P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Although ultrasound had a slightly lower sensitivity for anterosuperior acetabular labral tear, it had a higher specificity than MRI. Dynamic evaluation of antero-superior acetabular labral tear is an advantage of ultrasound. Ultrasound could be used as a feasible method to evaluate anterosuperior acetabular labral tear.
Quantitative and Qualitative Ultrasound Evaluation for the Diagnosis of an Anterosuperior Acetabular Labral Tear.

Abstract:We investigated the diagnostic performance of qualitative and quantitative ultrasound criteria for anterosuperior acetabular labral tears (ALTs). In all, 118 people with ALTs (120 hips; case group) and 31 asymptomatic volunteers (42 hips; control group) at Peking University Third Hospital between August 2018 and November 2019 were consecutively included. The labral cleft, labral heterogeneous echogenicity, labral plump morphology, paralabral cyst and labral focal hyperechoic area were used as the qualitative criteria. The anterosuperior labral cross-section area (CSA) was measured as the quantitative criterion. The diagnostic utility of the quantitative and qualitative criteria were explored with magnetic resonance imaging as the diagnostic gold standard. Labral heterogeneous echogenicity was the most sensitive criterion for diagnosing ALTs (up to 80.00%), and the specificity of diagnosing ALTs with paralabral cysts, labral focal hyperechoic area and subcortical cysts of the femoral head and neck was as high as 90.48%-100%. The labral CSA in the case group was 0.27 cm2 (0.21-0.39 cm2), which was significantly larger compared with the control group (0.18 cm2 [0.14-0.23 cm2]; p < 0.001). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.802 for diagnosing ALTs according to the labral CSA. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy of the combined qualitative criteria for diagnosing ALTs were 90.00%, 71.43%, 90.00%, 71.43% and 85.19%, respectively. Labral heterogeneous echogenicity is a sensitive criterion for diagnosing ALTs, and paralabral cysts, labral focal hyperechoic, area and subcortical cysts of the femoral head and neck are specific criteria. The CSA of the anterosuperior acetabular labrum measured by ultrasound can be used as a quantitative criterion to diagnose ALTs. The combination of labral qualitative criteria provides higher sensitivity and accuracy in diagnosing ALTs.
[Comparative Study of Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the Diagnosis of Asymptomatic Anterosuperior Acetabular Labrum Tears].

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the diagnostic value of ultrasound for asymptomatic anterosuperior acetabular labral tears (ALT). METHODS From August 2018 to February 2020, a total of 64 asymptomatic volunteers (101 hips) were recruited to complete 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound examination. Among these asymptomatic volunteers, 31 were male and 33 were female, with the median age 35 (32, 39) years. Using 3.0T MRI findings as golden standard, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of ultrasound were calculated. RESULTS The results showed the presence of unilateral or bilateral ALT in 33 (51.56%) asymptomatic vo-lunteers with a total of 47 hips (46.53%). Of the 37 asymptomatic volunteers with bilateral hip MRI examination, 14 had bilateral ALT and 8 had unilateral ALT. Of the 27 asymptomatic volunteers who underwent unilateral hip MRI, 11 had ALT. Of the 33 asymptomatic volunteers with labral tears, 11 were male and 22 were female, with 30 right hips and 17 left hips. The median age was 36 (33, 40) years in the ALT group and 34 (32, 38) years in the non-ALT group. There was no significant difference in age between the two groups (P > 0.05). In the asymptomatic population, the abnormal anterosuperior acetabular labrum manifestations on ultrasound were intra-labrum cleft in 26 cases, labral heterogeneous echogenicity in 25 cases, paralabral cysts in 2 cases, and labral focal hyperechoic area in 12 cases. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy for ALT diagnosed by ultrasound were 73.53%, 67.16%, 53.19%, 83.33% and 69.31%, respectively. The cross- sectional area (CSA) of the anterosuperior acetabular labrum was 0.20 (0.15, 0.24) cm2 in this study. The labral median CSA of the ALT group and non-ALT group were 0.22 (0.17, 0.28) cm2 and 0.17 (0.14, 0.21) cm2, respectively, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION The ALT are common findings in asymptomatic volunteers on MRI. Intra-labrum cleft and labral heterogeneous echogenicity are common ultrasonographic signs in asymptomatic volunteers with ALT. The labra were more swollen in the asymptomatic volunteers with ALT compared to those without ALT.
Ultrasound versus magnetic resonance arthrography in acetabular labral tear diagnostics: a prospective comparison in 20 dysplastic hips

Abstract:Background: Acetabular labral tears are highly associated with hip dysplasia. Magnetic resonance arthrography (MR arthrography) is the expensive and time-consuming contemporary gold-standard method in the radiological assessment of acetabular labral tears. Purpose: To assess the diagnostic ability of noninvasive ultrasound (US) examination compared to MR arthrography in diagnosing acetabular labral tears in dysplastic hip joints. Material and Methods: The study compared US examination and MR arthrography diagnosis of labral tears in 20 consecutively referred dysplastic hip joints. Results: The ability to diagnose acetabular labral tears upon US examination was calculated: sensitivity 44%, specificity 75%, positive predictive value 88%, and negative predictive value 25%. Conclusion: The ability of US examination in diagnosing acetabular labral tears is not yet good enough. The technique is still to be developed, and more experience, especially with the interpretation of US examinations, is needed.

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound in diagnosing shoulder lesions.Methods Ultrasound images were obtained by two museuloskeletal sonologists in 111 patients suspected of having rotator cuff and non-rotator cuff lesions which were confirmed by following arthroscopic surgery.Results The arthroscopic findings demonstrated that there were two or more lesions in one patient in majority of patients,included 67 supraspinous tendon tears,5 infraspinous or subscapular tendon injuries,10 calcific tendonosis,2suprascapular notch cysts,34 subaeromial bursitis,1 intrabursa loose body,13 biceps longus tendon dislocation or disruption,and 21 lahrum injury.The accuracy of ultrasonogrpahy was 92% in diagnosis of supraspinous tendons tear,97% in subscapular tendon inj uries,96% in calcific tendonitis,1 00% in suprascapular notch cysts,88% in subacromial bursitis,100% in biceps longus tendon dislocation or disruption,and 81% in labrum injury.Conclusions Ultrasound can evaluate shoulder lesions effectively.
3.0 T High-Resolution MRI of Acetabular Labrum Tear

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of high-resolution hip MRI for diagnosing acetabular labrum tears. Methods 3.0 T hip MRI of 122 patients was independently reviewed by two radiologists and compared with the results of arthroscopy. Results Acetabular labrum tear was arthroscopically diagnosed in 87 of the 122 patients. The sensitivity and specificity of MRI were 60.92%and 74.29% (radiologist A), 64.37% and 74.29% (radiologist B), respectively, with good consistency between the two observers (Kappa value=0.645). Conclusion High-resolution hip MRI has moderate sensitivity and high positive predictive value for diagnosing acetabular labrum tears. Paralabral cysts are the specific MRI manifestations.
Application of Ultrasound-Guided Hip Joint Drug Injection in the Postoperative Rehabilitation of Arthroscopie Repair of Acetabular Labral Tears

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To explore the clinical application of ultrasound-guided hip joint drug injection in the postoperative rehabilitation of arthroscopie repair of acetabular labral tears.METHODS:This research retrospectively analyzed a total of 38 hips from 36 patients (2 of them were bilateral) whose imaging examination showed acetabular labral well healed but the rehabilitating training was limited due to hip pain after arthroscopie repair of acetabular labral tears in our hospital between June 2015 and May 2017. All the patients underwent ultrasound-guided hip joint drug injection treatment. Through comparing the pain and the function of hip before and after drug injection, the clinical application values of ultrasound-guided hip joint drug injection in the postoperative rehabilitation of arthroscopie repair of acetabular labral tears were explored. The degree of hip pain was assessed by visual analogue score (VAS), which were scored before and after the injection. The hip function was assessed by the hip range of activity. The SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used for the data analysis. The effective rate of hip injection was calculated, which was defined as: ("excellent" + "good")/total number of cases×100%. The degree of hip pain was assessed by VAS, which was divided into 0 to 10 points with 0 for no pain and 10 for unbearable severe pain. The function of hip was assessed by the hip range of activity. The therapeutic effect of "excellent" meant no pain or occasional slight pain in the hip, along with Patrick test was negative and hip joint was not limited; the therapeutic effect of "good" meant that the pain was significantly reduced, and the hip's activity was slightly restricted. "No effect" meant that the pain of hip was not relieved, and the Patrick test was positive.RESULTS:The VAS score of the patient before drug injection was 5.46±1.46, and the VAS score was 2.01±0.53 after drug injection 4 weeks later. The score of the latter was significantly lower than that of the former, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The hip joint activity after ultrasound-guided hip joint drug injection was significantly improved. The therapeutic effective rate was 84.2%.CONCLUSION:For patients with hip pain and limitations after arthroscopie repair of acetabular labral tears, ultrasound-guided drug injection can effectively reduce hip pain, improve hip activity, and promote hip functional reconstruction.
The Value of Ultrasound Diagnostic Imaging of Anterior Crucial Ligament Tears Verified Using Experimental and Arthroscopic Investigations

Abstract:This study investigates the potential of the ultrasound imaging technique in the assessment of Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) pathologies by standardizing the examination process. We focused on four key ultrasound parameters: the inclination of the ACL; swelling or scarring at the ACL's proximal attachment to the lateral femoral condyle; swelling or scarring of the ACL/posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) compartment complex with accompanying morphological changes in the posterior joint capsule; and dynamic instability, categorized into three ranges—0–2 mm, 3–4 mm, and ≥5 mm. The study group consisted of 25 patients with an ACL injury and 25 controls. All four tested parameters were found more frequently in the study group compared to the control (p < 0.0001). Our findings suggest that this standardized approach significantly augments the diagnostic capabilities of ultrasound, complementing clinical evaluation and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings. The meticulous assessment of these parameters proved crucial in identifying subtle ACL pathologies, which might otherwise be missed in conventional imaging modalities. Notably, the quantification of dynamic instability and the evaluation of morphological changes were instrumental in early detection of ACL injuries, thereby facilitating more precise and effective treatment planning. This study underscores the importance of a standardized ultrasound protocol in the accurate diagnosis and management of ACL injuries, proposing a more comprehensive diagnostic tool for clinicians in the field of sports medicine and orthopedics.

Arthroscopic treatment of superior labrum anterior posterior lesions

Abstract:Objective To discuss the clinical results of arthroscopic treatment of superior labrum anterior posterior (SLAP) lesions of the shoulder. Methods A retrospective study was conducted for the 29 cases of shoulder SLAP lesions who had been treated by arthroscopy from January 2000 to December 2007. They were followed up for a mean period of 26.1(9 to 89) months and evaluated by UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) and ASES (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons) score systems before and after operation. Cases of subacromial impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tear and shoulder dislocation were ex-cluded from this study. Results The SLAP lesions were classified into 9 typos. There were 2 eases of type L 17 cases of type Ⅱ 1 case of type Ⅲ, 3 cases of type Ⅳ, 1 ease of type Ⅴ, 1 ease of type VI, and 4 cases of type Ⅷ. The average preoperative ASES score was 9.19±1.77 and the average preoperative UCLA score was 19.23± 3.88. After the operation, the average ASES score was 16.08±0.94 and the average UCLA score was 33.23± 2.08. The differences before and after surgery were statistically significant (P<0.05). After surgery 25 cases achieved the same sports level as before and reported no complains. Three cases had slightly limited range of movement. In I case, the pain was only lightly alleviated. All the 13 athletes restored the same sports level as before. The reply was positive by all patients to the question: "Do you want to accept the same operation if you are injured again?" Conclusion Arthreseopic treatment of SLAP lesions is safe and effective.
Superior Labrum Anterior-Posterior Lesions on Shoulder MR Arthrography

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of shoulder MR arthrography for superior labral anterior-posterior (SLAP) lesions.Methods A retrospective study was conducted in 137 cases of shoulder MR arthrography confirmed by subsequent shoulder arthroscopy.Two radiologists analyzed all MR examinations independently and the results were compared with those of arthrescopy.The superior labrum was described as normal or torn.In addition, each iabral tear was classified as type Ⅰ-Ⅳ.Type Ⅰ lesions were defined as marked fraying of the articulating surface of the superior labrum; type Ⅱ, avulsion of the labral-bicipital complex from the ghnoid; type Ⅲ, displaced bucket handle tear of the superior labrum; and type Ⅳ, bucket handle tear of the superior labrum with extension into the fibers of the biceps tendon.Sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy were calculated.Kappa values were calculated to quantify the level, of inter-observer agreement.Results SLAP lesions were arthroscopically diagnosed in 59 of the 137 patients.Six of the 59 lesions ( 10.2% ) were classified as type Ⅰ , 50 (84.7% ) as type Ⅱ, and 3 (5.1% ) as type Ⅲ.The overall sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of MR arthrographic detection of SLAP lesions were 86.4% (51/59), 78.2% (61/78), and 81.8% ( 112/137), respectively, for observer A, and 88.1% (52/59), 84.6% (66/78), and 86.1% (118/137), respectively, for observer B.At inter-observer comparison, agreement was very good (Kappa values = 0.796 ).The MR arthrographic classification showed correlation with the arthroscopic classification of SLAP lesions were 83.1% (49/59)and 79.7% (47/59) for two observers, respectively.Conclusion Shoulder MR arthrography is a reliable method for evaluating SLAP lesions.

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the value of ultrasonography in thediagnosis of rotator cuff tear.Methods：Fifty seven shoulders suspected as rotator cuff tear were detected by ultrasound.Sonographic criteria include:(a)Focal defect of the rotator cuff,(b)Invisibility of the cuff,(c)Focal abnormal echogenicity within the cuff,(d)Focal thinned cuff.Sonographic examinations were compared with surgery,arthrography or MRI.Results:The sensitivity of sonography in detecting rotator cuff tear was 94%(33/35),the specificity was 87%(19/22),and the accuracy was 91%(52/57).Conclusions:Sonography is the preferred examination method in the diagnosis of rotator cuff tear.

Abstract:Ultrasound has been extensively applied to the diagnosis of and guided interventions for knee disorders. However, although it is commonly affected during sports injuries, the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is not usually incorporated in the majority of ultrasound scanning protocols. In the past, because of its oblique trajectory and deeper location, the ACL was considered to be a challenging structure for ultrasound imaging. Owing to advances in ultrasound technology and knowledge of knee sono-anatomy, an increasing number of studies are investigating the clinical value of ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of ACL injuries. In this regard, the present review aims to elaborate on the sono-anatomy of the ACL, to summarize the evidence for ultrasound imaging for ACL lesions and to investigate whether it is useful in the pre-operative preparation and post-operative follow-up of ACL reconstruction.

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of glenoid labial lesions. Methods Thirty-three patients with shoulder lesion were examined with ultrasonography prior to surgery. Results Twenty-nine cases were correctly depicted and 4 cases were not correctly evaluated by ultrasonography with sensitivity of 84%, specificity of 90% and accuracy of 88%. Conclusion Ultrasonography was useful in diagnosis of labial lesion.
Diagnosis and treatment of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears

Abstract:Objective To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears.Methods A total of 14 cases of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears from April 1999 to January 2004 were surgically treated in this hospital.Before operation,X-ray examinations at anteroposterior view and at scapular outlet view were conducted in all cases,B-ultrasonography was conducted in 11 cases,and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) or magnetic resonance arthrography(MRA),in 14 cases.Subacromial decompression and tear debridement was performed in 5 cases,while subacromial decompression and rotator cuff repair was performed in 9 cases.The University of California Los Angeles(UCLA) shoulder scoring system was used to evaluate the outcomes.Results The partial tears were identified at bursal-side in 7 cases and at articular-side in 7 cases.The 14 cases were followed for 1~6 years(mean,38 months).The UCLA scores were elevated from 15.9±3.9 preoperatively to 30.9±5.2 postoperatively(t=15.000,P=0.000).The curative results were classified as "good" in 13 cases and "poor" in 1 case.Conclusions Arthroscopy is a reliable method for the diagnosis of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears,which can be effectively treated with rotator cuff repairs.Arthroscopic repair gives little invasion and quick recovery.

Abstract:Background Magnetic resonance (MR) arthrography is the ideal imaging modality for the acetabular labrum. Three-dimensional (3D) fast spin-echo (FSE) sequences have similar diagnostic performance as two-dimensional (2D) conventional MR imaging for ligaments, menisci, or bone marrow edema in the knee. Purpose To compare the diagnostic accuracy and inter-observer reliability of 3D intermediate-weighted FSE sequence and 2D FSE sequences for the diagnosis of acetabular labral tears. Material and Methods Institutional review board approval was obtained and informed consent was waived for 45 patients (47 hips) who underwent 3D and 2D MR arthrography and subsequent arthroscopic surgery. The 3D sequences were performed using volumetric intermediate-weighted fast spin-echo imaging with fat suppression (voxel size, 0.6 × 0.6 × 1.2 mm; imaging time, 6 min 38 s). Labral tear was retrospectively and independently evaluated by two radiologists in four areas of the labrum (anterosuperior, posterosuperior, anteroinferior, and posteroinferior) on 3D and 2D FSE sequences. Statistical differences between the sensitivity and specificity of the methods were analyzed with the McNemar test, using arthroscopic findings as the reference standard. Inter-observer agreement was calculated using kappa statistics. Results Arthroscopic findings confirmed labral tears at 40 anterosuperior, 23 posterosuperior, 0 anteroinferior, and 2 posteroinferior quadrants. Sensitivity and specificity were 74% and 89% for 2D FSE sequences, and 78% and 92% for 3D FSE sequences, respectively. Sensitivities and specificities for the methods were not different statistically (P > 0.05). Inter-observer agreement for labral tear was substantial for 2D FSE sequences (k = 0.774) and almost perfect for 3D FSE sequences (k = 0.842). Conclusion 3D intermediate-weighted FSE MR arthrography is excellent for diagnosing acetabular labral tears. Sensitivity, specificity, and inter-observer reliability were similar to conventional 2D MR arthrography. For evaluation of the labrum, 3D FSE MR arthrography is more time-efficient than 2D FSE MR arthrography.

Abstract:Background: Anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) injury is a commonly seen sports-related injury and a major underlying pathology of chronic ankle instability. However, it is difficult to accurately identify chronic injury of the ATFL.Purpose: To investigate the value of ultrasound (US) examination in identifying chronic ATFL injury.Material and Methods: We evaluated 83 consecutive patients who underwent US examination for diagnosis of the ATFL injury and subsequent ankle arthroscopy. The arthroscopic findings were used as the reference standard.Results: Forty-four patients were found to have ATFL injury on arthroscopy. The accuracy of US examination for the detection of ATFL injury was 95.2%, with sensitivity of 97.7%, specificity of 92.3%, positive predictive value of 93.5%, negative predictive value of 97.3%, positive likelihood ratio of 12.7, and negative likelihood ratio of 0.025.Conclusion: US examination is a reliable and accurate method to evaluate chronic ATFL injury.

Abstract:Objectives: To explore the diagnostic value of ultrasonography for injuries of anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) and anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament distal fascicle (ATiFL-DF) in patients with ankle fractures. Methods: Clinical data of 51 patients with ankle fractures who were clinically suspected of ligament injuries and underwent ankle ultrasonography examination and arthroscopy in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from April 2019 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Using arthroscopic results as the gold standard, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) of ultrasonography in diagnosing ATFL and ATiFL-DF injuries were evaluated, and Kappa consistency test was performed. Results: The sensitivity and specificity of ultrasonography in diagnosis of ATFL injury were 100.0% and 92.3%, with the PPV of 92.6% and NPV of 100.0%. Ultrasonography findings exhibited excellent concordance with arthroscopic results (kappa=0.849). The sensitivity and specificity of ultrasonography in diagnosis of ATiFL-DF injury was 86.7% and 33.3%, with the PPV of 90.7% and NPV of 25.0%. However, the consistency between ultrasonography and arthroscopic results was poor (kappa=0.168). Conclusions: Ultrasonography is reliable in assessing injuries of ATFL in patients with ankle fractures, but its specificity in diagnosing ATiFL-DF is poor. Therefore, ankle arthroscopy remains necessary for ankle fracture patients with negative findings of ATiFL-DF in ultrasonography.
3 T MR arthrography and conventional MRI for acetabular labral tear

Abstract:Objective To compare the performance of 3 T MR arthrography and conventional MRI for diagnosing acetabular labrum tear.Methods Conventional MRI and MR arthrography of the hips of 53 patients were retrospectively analyzed by two radiologists independently.The MR findings were compared to hip arthroscopy.Results Of 53 patients,acetabular labral tear was arthroscopically confirmed in 31.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) of MR arthrography for assessing the acetabular labral tear were 90.32％,77.27％,84.91％,84.85％,and 85.00％ for one radiologist,93.55％,77.27％,86.79％,85.29％,and 89.47％ for the second radiologist with good inter-observer consistency (k=0.797).The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,PPV and NPV of conventional MRI for evaluating the acetabular labral tear were 54.84％,72.73％,62.26％,73.91％,and 53.33％ for the first radiologist,61.29％,77.27％,67.92％,79.17％,and 58.62％ for the second radiologist with good inter-observer consistency (k=0.733).The sensitivity,accuracy and NPV of MR arthrography for diagnosing acetabular labral tear were significantly higher than those of conventional MRI (P＜0.05).Conclusion 3 T MR arthrography of the hip is reliable and superior to conventional MRI for diagnosing acetabular labral tear.

Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of sports medicine ultrasound in the rehabilitation treatment of anterior talofibular ligament injury. Methods: 36 patients who visited our hospital from January 2020 to September 2023 were selected as research subjects and randomly divided into the study group (18 cases) and the control group (18 cases). The control group adopted routine examination and rehabilitation training, and the study group adopted sports medicine ultrasound and rehabilitation training. The ankle function scores and daily living ability of the two groups were compared before treatment and 9 weeks after treatment. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the study group and the control group in terms of ankle function scores and ability to perform activities of daily living before treatment (P > 0.05), but the difference was statistically significant after treatment (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Ultrasound can be used as a supplement to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the ankle joint for diagnosing anterior talofibular ligament injury; ultrasound can show the location, distance, and degree of tear of the anterior talofibular ligament rupture and accurately predict muscle atrophy around the ankle joint; ultrasound combined with computed tomography (CT) can better determine the type of intra-articular fracture of the talar subtalar joint, and guide the choice of surgical timing. In addition, ultrasound can be used to determine the severity of peroneal muscle atrophy, assess the progress of early postoperative functional exercise, and guide personalized rehabilitation programs.
