Species Diversity of Birds in Shilonghu National Wetland Park, Anhui Province

Abstract:The birds diversity in Shilonghu National Wetland Park,Anhui Province was surveyed by line transects and fixed-spot observation methods from January to December,2015,113 species of birds,belonging to 14 orders,40 families were recorded,of those 1 species was national first-grade protected in China,8 species were second-grade ones,and 30 species in Anhui provincial protection list.The 37 species (32.7％) of these were residents,23 species (20.4％) were summer birds,29 species (25.7％) were winter birds and 24 species (21.2％) were passengers.Among these birds,57 species (50.5％) belong to Palearctic realm,11 species (9.7％) are Oriental and 45 species (39.8％) are widespread ones.There were 46 water birds,of those only 8 species were geese and ducks.The 8 species were dominant and 31 species were common species.The results showed that the number of species and individuals of birds were the most and Shannon-Wiener diversity indexes were relatively higher in spring and autumn.Among 5 kinds of habitats (bosket,farmland and grassland,reed marshes,beaches and fishpond and waters),in the bosket habitat the highest proportion of birds was held and owned the high diversity index,the species and quantity of birds were the minimum and ShannonWiener diversity index was relatively lower at large area of waters habitat.
