Abstract:In this paper, we establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions of reflected stochastic Burgers-type equations. The main difficulty is to deal with the highly non-linear coefficients and the singularities caused by the reflection.

Abstract:In this paper, we show uniqueness and stability for the piecewise-smooth solutions to the Burgers--Hilbert equation constructed in Bressan and Zhang [Commun. Math. Sci., 15(1):165--184, 2017]. The Burgers--Hilbert equation is $u_t+(\frac{u^2}{2})_x=\mathbf{H}[u]$ where $\mathbf{H}$ is the Hilbert transform, a nonlocal operator. We show stability and uniqueness for solutions amongst a larger class than the uniqueness result in Bressan and Zhang. The solutions we consider are measurable and bounded, satisfy at least one entropy condition, and verify a strong trace condition. We do not have smallness assumptions. We use the relative entropy method and theory of shifts (see Vasseur [Handbook of Differential Equations: Evolutionary Equations, 4:323 -- 376, 2008]).

Uniqueness and stability of steady-state solution with finite energy to the fractal Burgers equation

Abstract:The paper is concerned with the steady-state Burgers equation of fractional dissipation on the real line. We first prove the global existence of viscosity weak solutions to the fractal Burgers equation driven by the external force. Then the existence and uniqueness of solution with finite $H^{\frac{\alpha}{2}}$ energy to the steady-state equation are established by estimating the decay of fractal Burgers' solutions. Furthermore, we show that the unique steady-state solution is nonlinearly stable, which means any viscosity weak solution of fractal Burgers equation, starting close to the steady-state solution, will return to the steady state as $t\rightarrow\infty$.

Abstract:The Burgers equation can describe some phenomena such as turbulence, shock wave and traffic flow dynamics problems. Under consideration in this paper is a discrete Burgers equation, which can be viewed as the discrete counterpart of Burgers equation. Firstly, we correspond this discrete equation to the famous continuous Burgers equation under the continuous limit. Secondly, based on its 2 × 2 matrix linear spectral problem, we construct the discrete generalized (m,N−m)-fold Darboux transformation (DT) to derive various exact solutions covering kink soliton, rational solutions, semi-rational solutions as well as their mixed superposition solutions. Furthermore, we discuss kink multi-soliton resonant phenomena through the graphics analysis and use asymptotic analysis technique to investigate the limit states of various exact solutions. Finally, the dynamical evolutions of kink soliton solutions are studied through numerical simulations. The results obtained in this paper may be useful for exploring physical phenomena governed by Burgers equation.

Abstract:In this note we study the well-posedness of two systems of Burgers type arising in nonlinear wave interactions. The first model describes the interaction of a Burger's bore with the classical Korteweg-de Vries equation while the second exemplify the interaction of weak sound waves and entropy waves with small amplitudes. For the former, we show the local existence and uniqueness of solutions in Sobolev spaces and Wiener-type spaces. For the latter, we provide an elementary proof of finite time singularity.

Abstract:This paper presents existence and uniqueness results for reflected system of quasilinear stochastic partial differential equations in a convex domain D from Rk. The method is based on the probabilistic interpretation of the solution by using the backward doubly stochastic differential equation. The solution is expressed as a pair (u,ν) where u is a predictable continuous process which takes values in a proper Sobolev space and ν is a random signed regular measure satisfying the minimal Skohorod condition.

Abstract:In this manuscript, the well-known stochastic Burgers' equation in under investigation numerically and analytically. The stochastic Burgers' equation plays an important role in the fields of applied mathematics such as fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, traffic flow, and nonlinear acoustics. This study is presented the existence, approximate, and exact stochastic solitary wave results. The existence of results is shown by the help of Schauder fixed point theorem. For the approximate results the proposed stochastic finite difference scheme is constructed. The analysis of the proposed scheme is analyzed by presented the consistency and stability of scheme. The consistency is checked under the mean square sense while the stability condition is gained by the help of Von-Neumann criteria. Meanwhile, the stochastic exact solutions are constructed by using the generalized exponential rational function method. These exact stochastic solutions are obtained in the form of hyperbolic, trigonometric and exponential functions. Mainly, the comparison of both numerical and exact solutions are analyzed via simulations. The unique physical problems are constructed from the newly constructed soliton solutions to compare the numerical results with exact solutions under the presence of randomness. The 3D and line plots are dispatched that are shown the similar behavior by choosing the different values of parameters. These results are the main innovation of this study under the noise effects.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the Cauchy problem for a fractal Burgers equation in two dimensions. When alpha is an element of (0, 1), the same problem has been studied in one dimensions, we can refer to [1, 17, 24]. In this paper, we study well-posedness of solutions to the Burgers equation with supercritical dissipation. We prove the local existence with large initial data and global existence with small initial data in critical Besov space by energy method. Furthermore, we show that solutions can blow up in finite time if initial data is not small by contradiction method.

The existence of a martingale solution is shown by using a Galerkin approximation, Prokhorov's theorem and Skorokhod's embedding theorem. Abstract:In this article we prove an existence theorem for solutions of the stochastic Burgers equation (SBE) on the unit interval with Dirichlet boundaryconditions and anticipatinginitial velocities. The SBE is driven by affine (additive + linear) noise. In order to establish the existence theorem, we adopt a somewhatcounterintuitive perspective in which stochastic dynamical systems ideas lead to the existence of solutions rather than vice versa. Morespecifically, our approach uses the Malliavin calculus and is based on the existence and regularity of a perfect cocycle on the energy spacefor the SBE.The proof of the existence theorem requires Malliavin regularity of the infinite-dimensional initial velocity field together with new spatialestimates on the cocycle, its Fréchet and Malliavin derivatives. The existence theorem provides a dynamic characterization of solutions of the nonanticipating SBEon its unstable invariant manifolds. Furthermore, as a corollary of the existence theorem, we show that random cocycle-invariant points on theenergy space correspond to(possibly nonergodic) stationary pathwise solutions for the SBE.
