Age of prostate specific antigen 4 ～ 10 mu g/L patient's cancer detection and research on the effects of illness

Abstract:Objectives To investigate the correlation between the age and cancer detection of patients whose prostate specific antigen is in the range of 4 ～ 10μg/L and research on the effects of illness.Methods A retrospective analysis in February 2003 to June 2014 treated 368 cases of different age paragraph the prostate specific antigen(PSA) 4～10 μg/L in patients with clinical data,according to the age group is divided into four groups:＜60 years old group(Igroup,43 cases),and 60～69 years group(Ⅱ group,157 cases),70～ 79 age group(Ⅲ group,142 cases),＞ 80-year-old group (Ⅳ group,26 cases),prostate biopsy in 368 patients,the clinical pathologic data complete;Compare the relationship between age groups of patients with prostate cancer detection rate,and the age groups of patients with Gleason grading and clinical staging for correlation analysis.Results Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ tumours positive rate was 11.63％ (5/43),29.30％ (46/ 157),30.28％ (43/142),38.46％ (10/26).Puncture positive rate are positively related with age,the prostate cancer detection rate comparison (Z =4.078,P ＜0.01).Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Gleason score 7 or higher of patients Ⅳ group respectively,1 case (20％),11 cases (23.91％),30 cases (69.77％),7 cases (70％),there was no significant correlation with age (P =0.23).The Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ group in patients with localized prostate cancer respectively,3 cases(60％),32 cases(69.57％),33 cases(76.74％),4 cases(40％).Locally advanced prostate cancer respectively,1 case(20％),12 cases(26.09％),8 cases (18.60％),4 cases (40％).Advanced prostate cancer respectively,1 case (20％),2 cases (4.35 ％),2 cases (4.65 ％),2cases(20％).Each stage had no significant correlation with age(P =0.101 6,P =0.285 2,1 P =0.349).Conclusions Patients with PSA 4 ～ 10μg/L prostate cancer detection rate increased with age,tumor malignant degree and the transfer of risk and age has no obvious correlation.
