Abstract:Conventional GIS system can't express the complicated relations between objects.In order to solve this problem,the GIS data model is studied,then a geographic object data model is given in express highway based on the OpenGIS geometry data model,and at last the express-highway-GIS-T-system based on the object data model is implemented to enhance the capability of data representation in conventional GIS system.After that,a further extended GIS_T system is presented to users: Highway mangers who view that the system is according to the management criterion in the express highway,developers who view that the system is complete object-oriented,map operators who view that the system represents the real world.

Abstract:Freeway has strong geospatial distributing characteristics,easily management using GIS.The paper used Oracle & ArcSDE to manage spatial data,chose the development environment of.NET integrated to ArcGIS Engine,and finally designed a freeway management system model. "Freeway Infrastructure management information system based on GIS in Jiangsu province" had developed according to the model.Some system functions and key technology were analyzed emphatically.The system could make up the conventional manage limitation and is worthy to be popularized widely.

Abstract:Based on an analysis of the current research and application development of traffic geographic information system,a distributed highway WebGIS architecture is studied on the basis of the J2EE technology and the key issues for distributed highway WebGIS development are presented.Such issues as highway spatial data organization mechanism in WebGIS,WebGIS middleware design,database connection pool,and dynamic segmentation of WebGIS are investigated.A new dynamic segmentation model is presented.The design and application of WebGIS system are discussed on the basis of a case study of Huihe highway WebGIS development.The feasibility of the theories and methods are tested through the system.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the characteristic of highway project management, system requirements and architectures of GuangDong Province Highway Intelligent Information Platform (GDHIP) are presented.The Entity-Relationship models,which is concluded with three parts of"Entity"、"Relationship" and"Attribute",in highway intelligent information platform are then proposed by applying the methodology of conceptual data models during the project development process.The System data structures of GDHIP are further designed on the basis of the conceptual data models using PowerDesigner tool.The GDHIP system is therefore developed using fast prototype method.The problems existed in the requirement description and design are tested and revised by this method.As Practice proved,it is of great significance to launch a comprehensive research on the analysis of the highway system requirements.

Abstract:On the research basis of current conditions of highway transportation geographical information system construction,a new geographical information platform is put forward for highway project based on SuperMap Objects,a robust GIS components.By investigating highway data and its sources in detail,such issues as system architecture,conceptual data models,physical data models and system functions of this platform are studied.Some key problems encountered in this project and its solutions are presented.The design and application of highway project GIS-T are discussed on the basis of a case study of Guangdong highway project geographical information platform.The feasibility of the technologies and methods are tested thorough the system.

Abstract:Based on GIS platform, data processing and integration during highway GIS development are studied. Vector data, attribute data and raster data are constructed and organized. Data browsing and searching are realized. Two key problems are solved: one is composition of spatial object, attribute information and image data; and the other is seamless integration of vector data and raster data. Related information of the region along highways built and planning to build, and distribution of villages, towns, rivers and road net, can be acquired from the software system. Highway GIS can be used to support decision-making in selection of highway routes, in layout and management of road net.

Abstract:Open GIS software has experienced rapid development recently.More and more institutes,companies and organizations take part in the research and development of open GIS software.The framework of open GIS is firstly analyzed in this paper.Then,the open GIS specification is introduced.Based on MapWinGIS Active Control,PostgreSQL database and PostGIS spatial data extended module,a new open GIS platform is designed.The transportation planning software is established based on VC++6.0.To meet the requirement of traffic data and functions,this platform can be used to display transit corridor,label bilaterally,show and edit turn delays for and analysis of traffic networks.

Abstract:Based on the development of Wujiang Highway Information System,a framework of highway information system including highway database design,transformation from planar to linear referencing system,mileage identification and localization is presented,which is based on Wujiang Highway Information System.The framework uses the browser/server(B/S) and the client/server(C/S) structures to access the core of the system-the highway infrastructure database,in order to provide the required services to public and administrators..Road map,attribute,and associated facility data are stored separately with traffic management data in database.Road segments are used as the basic management units.and each road facility is linked to a unique road route with event data.All route information is stored in event tables,which can be conveniently converted to map layers using dynamic segmentation technique.Maps collected by onboard GPS device are transformed into linear reference system with staked mileages.The methods for locating stakes and identifying stakes are also presented.

And the data is exchanged with the binding and ODBC connecting between spatial data and non-spatial data. Online-based disposal data model and lane-based road data model in design of database also are proposed in paper, which is efficiency for managing the Multidimensional traffic data and displaying information. Abstract:At present,A large number of traffic control resources with various types are of wide coverage.However,lacking of staff supervision,limited real-time display devices and places cause issues that most of these resources are out of control.Therefore,we developed a wide range remote management system of traffic control resources to manage the information of various traffic monitoring resources effectively.In this article,we describe the management system of traffic monitoring resources based on GIS,which is cross-sectoral,cross-regional and cross-traffic road network,including system framework,functional design,network architecture,and Oracle database design.ArcGIS as a development tool is used for visual system development.This management system provides a technical support for the full and effective use of traffic resources.

Abstract:Guidelines that were adopted for the implementation of the highway traveller information system (HTIS) in the Jiangsu province of China are presented. Framework design is discussed including HTIS architecture and functional requirements. The HTIS architecture levels, of which there are seven, are illustrated and the major functions of each logical level are discussed. Analysis is made of three topology patterns (centralised topology, distributed topology and hybrid topology) of the HTIS, and the topology framework based on hybrid topology is presented accordingly. Furthermore, the layout framework of the Jiangsu province HTIS with consideration of the freeway network and normal highway network. This layout framework establishes the foundation for further development of the Jiangsu province HTIS.

Abstract:In 2005, the government of Jiangsu Province started the research program of Highway Traveler Information System (HTIS), with the objective to provide guidelines for Jiangsu Provincial HTIS implementation, led by Jiangsu Provincial Communications Department. As part of the research program, this paper focuses on framework design of Jiangsu Provincial HTIS. This paper introduced the physical framework of Jiangsu Provincial HTIS which is composed of Traveler Subsystems, Center Subsystems, Vehicle Subsystems and Roadside Subsystems. Based on the status of management mechanism of Jiangsu Province, this paper defined the laid network framework of Jiangsu Provincial HTIS of freeway network and normal highway network respectively, and discussed the major function of each logical layer. Abstract:The freeway network has strong geospatial distributing characteristics, and is easy to implement the visual management by means of geographic information system (GIS)[1]. Thus, the paper has proposed a new design model of the provincial freeway network management information system (MIS) based on GIS. The management model based on the client/server architecture mode mainly supports such functions as input, management, maintaining, analysis, presentation and output of the geospatial data and it would offer a convenient tool for the freeway management offices. Moreover, the paper has set up a practical freeway networks and their facilities MIS based on this model. The practical system chose the database of Oracle and the spatial data engine of ArcSDE to manage spatial and attribute data, and was developed under the environment of .NET integrated to ArcGIS engine develop kit. The practice has indicated that the model was valid and practical. And the system has made up the conventional management's limitation and is worthy to be popularized widely.
