Abstract:This paper made a binary hypothesis test for detecting the presence or absence of a target in a high reverberation environment using the time-reversal(TR) focusing technique,with interaction of transmission and reception.A probing source(PS) located near the object generates a guidance signal.The source receiver array(SRA) receives the signal and performs a physical TR focusing,or inverse beamforming with multi-path compensation.The TR transmission array and reception array interactively focus the echo scattered by the object with TR focusing,or beamforming with multi-path compensation.In the research,conventional broadside(BS) transmission detection and TR detection were compared.Experiments on the floating target in a lake proved the conclusion of theoretical analysis.It is also proved that TR detection can obtain more gain in the echo-to-reverberation ratio than conventional BS transmission detection.
Harmonic Detection Without Delay Based on Phase Compensation of Fundamental Component

Abstract:Phase-compensation strategy of fundamental component is introduced into harmonic detection algorithm based on synchronous reference frame. The improved design scheme based on fundamental component extraction using digital signal processor (DSP) is a mixed system, which can reduce time delay greatly and limit its influence only on fundamental component. Theoretical analysis is made on the ineffectiveness of compensation due to the specific time delay, both for single frequency distortion and multiple harmonic distortions. The evaluation of time delay and digital implementation of phase-compensation based on synchronous controlling are depicted. Experimental results show that the proposed strategy and its realization can detect power harmonic accurately, without time delay and with good dynamic performance.

Abstract:In the realm of acoustic signal detection, the identification of weak signals, particularly in the presence of negative signal-to-noise ratios, poses a significant challenge. This challenge is further heightened when signals are acquired through fiber-optic hydrophones, as these signals often lack physical significance and resist clear systematic modeling. Conventional processing methods, e.g., low-pass filter (LPF), require a thorough understanding of the effective signal bandwidth for noise reduction, and may introduce undesirable time lags. This paper introduces an innovative feedback control method with dual Kalman filters for the demodulation of phase signals with noises in fiber-optic hydrophones. A mathematical model of the closed-loop system is established to guide the design of the feedback control, aiming to achieve a balance with the input phase signal. The dual Kalman filters are instrumental in mitigating the effects of signal noise, observation noise, and control execution noise, thereby enabling precise estimation for the input phase signals. The effectiveness of this feedback control method is demonstrated through examples, showcasing the restoration of low-noise signals, negative signal-to-noise ratio signals, and multi-frequency signals. This research contributes to the technical advancement of high-performance devices, including fiber-optic hydrophones and phase-locked amplifiers.

Abstract:An improved CTI algorithm is introduced. This algorithm makes use of lowpass filter and coring circuit to suppress small noise; utilizes adaptive clamping to eliminate ringing effect and “wrong colours”. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good performance. Implementation on FPGA requires less hard ware resource while achieves good performance.

Abstract:The analysis of the target radiated noise model is made as a precondition under the background of fluctuating sound field firstly. A broad and narrow band integrated coherent detection algorithm based on phase fluctuation and differential alignment is proposed for the issue of target azimuth estimation and narrow-band line-spectrum detection. The background noise energy disturbances can be restrained by using the differences of temporal correlated radius and phase fluctuation uniformity for the periodic spectrum signals and broadband noise;The ability to identify different DOA targets can also be improved by combining phase fluctuation aligned gain of the output signal in focused beam domain and spatial coherent gain of the signal processing in array domain. It is proved that the proposed algorithm can significantly enhance the detection SNR gain of the target line spectral component and relative energy spectrum level of the coherent target’s beam azimuth by analyzing the simulation and sea experiment results. It has better application prospects in the detection and identification areas of anti-complex channel.

Abstract:Phase detection is one of the most important processing steps in optical phase-shifting interferometry. It aims to reconstruct the phase field of wavefront from the interferogram. To solve this problem, many algorithms of phase detection have been proposed these years. Here, A FFT-based two-step phase shifting (TPS) algorithm is described in detail and implemented by use of experimental interferograms. This algorithm has been proposed to solve the TPS problem with random phase shift except π. By comparison with the Visibility-Function-based TPS algorithm, it proves that the FFT-based algorithm has obvious advantages in phase extracting. Meanwhile, we present a π-phase-shift supplement to the TPS algorithm, which combines the two interferograms and demodulates the phase map from a combined interferogram. So combining this quasi-two-step method and FFT-based one, one could really implement the TPS with random phase shift. Thereafter, we design an optical setup of two-channel TPS interferometer with random phase shift, which could capture the two interferograms simultaneously. At the same time, we propose a fringe-variable Jamin interferometer to detect reversed domain of ferroelectric crystal in real time. It could realize the two-step phase shifting with π radian.

Abstract:Limitations of the conventional synchronous detecting method for reactive and harmonic currents in case of unbalanced or distorted three-phase voltages is discussed.Then,an advanced method is proposed to replace the phase voltage by fundamental positive-sequence voltage.Taking accout of the speediness and stability,it was carried out by TMS320VC5402 Digital Signal Processor(DSP).It can be fast and accurately detect the sum of fundamental reactive current,unbalanced components and harmonics.The theoretical analysis and simulation verify the feasibility of this method.
An Improved Phase Locking Method with Real-Time Phase Feedback Assisted by Pilot-Tone

Abstract:There are different kinds of noise in the process of space gravitational wave detection, among which ADC sampling jitter noise is a non-negligible noise source. This paper presents an improved method to reduce the ADC sampling jitter noise. The phase compensation assisted by pilot-tone is coupled into the phase locking system of the input beat signal, differing from the traditional method with post-processing. Moreover, the transient frequency of the input beat signal is introduced for real-time phase compensation instead of setting a static frequency, which may fluctuate in the range of $6 \mathrm{MHz}-$ 24 MHz due to the Doppler shift caused by the relative motion of spacecrafts. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional method, the output signal of the proposed method can effectively improve the phase correction ability of input beat signal and achieve a better phase locking effect. In the frequency domain, the ground noise is reduced by about 10 dB. The phase compensation capability in the time domain is improved by about 0.08 rad.

Abstract:The technique of time reversal which results in some degree of focusing in space and time is one of the applications of the acoustic reciprocity, but a detailed theory of detection under the environment of ocean waveguide is lacking. For this purpose, the binary hypothesis testing of detecting object with additive white noise is studied by the time reversal method. Moreover in order to make the analysis of the performance, the conventional detection, where no time reversal occurs, also is studied. The essential receive operating characteristic (ROC) curves corresponding to both detection show that the time reversal detection provides significant gains over conventional detection.

Abstract:In tone reservation (TR) methods, the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals is reduced through exploiting the reserved tones, i.e., peak-reduction tones (PRT), so as to manipulate the clipping noise generated from the soft limiter with predefined clipping threshold. In this work, from the least-squares perspective, the PRT are designed with linear operation only and a corresponding clipping threshold is proposed by a simple closed-form formula. Furthermore, a PRT-aided detection algorithm for the receiver is proposed to exploit the information embedded in the PRT, which is a linear function of the data-tone signal. The data-tones and PRT are jointly and iteratively estimated to increase the accuracy of detection. No extra receive-side information is required in the proposed method. Simulation results reveal that a remarkable gain in bit error rate (BER) is achieved.

Abstract:This paper presents a new system for acoustic echo cancellation.Adaptive filtering in subbands is a technique for identification of large impulse response,and the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm is improved by the affine projection (AP) algorithm,due to that the AP algorithm could prewhiten the input signal.The system combines merits of the AP algorithm and the subband adaptive filtering.Moreover,by applying the polyphase decomposition and subband double-talk detection,the system could work effectively.Experiment indicates that the proposed algorithm performs well for the colored signal and speech signal.

Abstract:The estimation of the resonant frequency is very important when using the series notch filters to eliminate the acoustic feedback. The multi-band FFT algorithm used on the feedback exterminators is discussed in detail. It is robust, high accurate, and the operation is moderate. The algorithm is realized using ADSP21262,SHARC series DSP. The test result of the sample apparatus is completely in accord with the simulation result.

Abstract:This paper not only proposes the detection algorithm of traditional ring signal tones, but also researches the Color Ring Back Tone which is well popular recent years. Different testing methods are given according to the difference of music color ring tone and voice prompt color ring tone. Tested on RMTS (Real-world Multi-channel Telephone Speech) database, experiments show that the detection rates of ring tone, music color ring tone, voice prompt color ring tone and virtual speech reach 100%, 98.5% , 98% and 97.5% respectively, 98.5% totally.

Abstract:Speech enhancement enhances speech quality, intelligibility, and recognition. However, most current methods assume that the desired speech must have a 0 propagation angle. Propagation angles not restricted to 0° can also be analyzed with an adaptive two-channel speech enhancement algorithm developed in this study. The sound sources are separated into front-hemisphere and back-hemisphere components using two-channel null beamforming with fractional delay filters. Then, modulation spectra recognition is used to separate the signals into speech and non-speech components. Finally, the speech is enhanced by an adaptive filter, with the speech component as the input and the non-speech component as the noise reference. Results show that when the angle of the desired signal is not 0°, the algorithm can recover the time-frequency domain characteristics of pure tones and speech without distortion and effectively suppress noise. The algorithm has fast convergence and is robust. Thus, the algorithm is capable of speech enhancement in real acoustic environments.

Abstract:ThePicket Fence Effectof the FFT-based code acquisition scheme for high dynamic DS/SS TTC signals will degrade the accuracy of the frequency offset estimation.To solve this problem,a new method of frequency offset estimation is proposed.This method adopts modulated data elimination technique and the segmental correlation FFT algorithm.Both analysis and simulation dem- onstrate that the proposed method can well improve the accuracy of the frequency offset estimation compared with the existing FFT- based code acquisition scheme,with moderate computational complexity.

Abstract:A distributed acoustic sensing with digital differential coherent optical time-domain reflectometry based on heterogeneous dual-sideband linear frequency-modulated (LFM) pulse is proposed. The positive and negative LFM signals are loaded on the upper and lower optical sidebands respectively. The loaded signals with the same spectrum width but opposite slope chirps will result in an opposite interference pattern movement. By performing the digital difference on the phase demodulation results of the two sidebands, the sensitivity at 1 kHz is doubled at least and the suppression of 27.26 dB in the low-frequency common-mode phase drift noise is obtained at 10 Hz.

Abstract:The phase difference algorithm used in further processing of fine measuring frequency in digital channel receiver is discussed.Based on the least square estimation model,an improved method of weighted phase difference algorithm is put forward.According to the method,complex sinusoid signal and linear frequency modulated signal are researched respectively,and minimum mean square error analysis and numerical evaluation are carried out.The simulation results show that compared with traditional phase difference algorithm,the method is proved to be more accurate and less computation,and it can attain the Cramer-Rao bound at moderately high signal-to-noise rations.
