Abstract:The article presents the results of a study which investigated the relationship between corporate culture and innovation in Chinese manufacturing firms. Data from companies located in Zhejiang province, China was collected. The results indicated that a corporate culture oriented toward stability tended to weaken the relationships between research and development, human capital, and innovation. Additionally, a strongly results-oriented corporate culture was found to have a negative impact on innovation, as the inherent risks associated with innovative activity are not compatible with guaranteed outcomes.

Abstract:Although recent academic literature and empirical research show that most firms have implemented cross-functional, or even cross-cultural innovative teams for the majority of the technological innovation projects undertaken, they are still finding it hard to ensure that these teams are successful in completing the innovation task. Trust and commitment are clearly important ingredients in these collaborations, but little is known about the challenges this new organization and social environment creates for the development of trust and commitment. Different disciplinary perspectives, different cultures, and the lack of understanding when working together raise significant barriers to developing trust and commitment. We, therefore, explore the dilemma of trust and commitment in the construction of an innovative team that most companies are always confronted with, especially Chinese private enterprises.

Abstract:Culture is the soul of enterprises. Different behaviors in the technological innovation of different enterprises are caused by the cultural difference among enterprises after all. Therefore, studying on enterprise's technological innovation should study the corporate culture, especially enterprise's innovative culture. On the basis of existing documents, the authors review the conceptions, connotations, forms of innovative culture, the cultural elements and the organizational norms that inspirit enterprise's innovation. Then, the authors point out the deficiencies and the research directions of the existing innovative culture theories.

Abstract:Organizations invest substantial resources in research and development (R&D) to increase long-term performance. Despite these investments, contextual contingencies can impact innovation. Our findings show that Chinese manufacturers with cultures emphasizing innovation and teamwork more effectively use financial resources in the innovation process. Findings also demonstrate that the impact of education on innovation is greater with low stability and high teamwork and innovation orientations. Results also indicate that a culture emphasizing outcomes and stability leads to lower levels of innovation irrespective of financial and human resources invested. Finally, we found a negative curvilinear interaction between R&D spending and outcome orientation on innovation. (C) 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Abstract:Corporate culture has become critical factor in leverageing innovation capability. But in our survey on 20 small and medium enterprises in Zhejiang Province, we found that only a few part of them emphasize on the construction of corporate culture. That is mainly because entrepreneurs do not deeply realize the mechanism of corporate culture in leveraging enterprises' innovation capability. So this paper focus on how corporate culture leverage innovation capability by case study, expecting to have more entrepreneurs aware of the importance of corporate culture.

Abstract:Throughout the incessant exploration and reflection on first-line production practice,the highly-skilled talents play a pioneering role in the existing technologies' transforming and new products' creating,which promotes technology innovation and achievement transformation.And human's inner innovative quality is the dynamic source in implementing innovative activities.This paper uses the Root Analysis,which contains relevant literature review,technical literature collection and behavior event interview,to refine the initial content items of the highly-skilled talents' innovative quality.Then design scale and carry out questionnaire survey based on the results.Based on the results of the collected analysis of questionnaire,implement the content items' purification.Combined with the expert panel's fully discussion,this paper draws the framework of the highly-skilled talents' innovative quality,which contains three second-order dimension,seven first-order dimension and forty content items.

Abstract:This paper proposed three-level model for all elements innovation mechanism in the total Innovation, based on the discussion about the dimension of total innovation and its relationship. The article proposed three fundamental suppositions and eleven sub-suppositions through theoretical analysis and investigation. We have the research data by drawing the questionnaire survey, and process those data by using SPSS15.0 and AOMS7.0, thus carry on the empirical study for the above suppositions. The article finally give the following conclusions: true effects on technological innovation and market innovation firstly Is Institution Innovation, secondly is culture innovation, finally is organization innovation; the coefficients of the function path for strategy innovation to culture Innovation, institution innovation and organization innovation respectively is 0.81, 0.70, and 0.64.

Abstract:This paper illustrates the logic relations among culture-consciousness, culture-confidence, culture-innovation and culture-improvement. It points out that culture-innovation is based on the culture- consciousness and culture-confidence, and the culture-consciousness and culture-confidence contain the culture-innovation. Finally, Culture-innovation enhances and sublimates culture-consciousness and culture-confidence. The mission of culture-confidence is to improve Chinese culture, and the culture- innovation leads to and achieves culture-improvement. The culture-consciousness、 culture-confidence、culture-innovation and culture-improvement in China＇s culture are unified in culture-practice. The essence of practice is culture-innovation, which is not only related to the culture-consciousness and culture-confidence, but also to the culture-improvement.

Abstract:Organizational culture has always been a mainstream issue of research in the field of organizations, and its connotation has been gradually enriched, perfected and presented a trend of diversification. Innovation is perceived as a critical factor in helping enterprises to retain competitive advantages, while employee innovation behaviour is thought to be the basis for enterprises to innovate. Using the definitions proposed by Chinese and foreign scholars in the past decade for reference and from the perspective of social cognitive theory, this paper, in the form of an argumentative essay, mainly to elaborate the connotation of organizational culture as well as the concept of employee innovation behavior, and it studies on the impact mechanism of organizational culture on employees and defines the research concepts on the impact of employee innovation behavior. And therefore the paper introduces the state of related research in China and abroad by outlining and summarizing the existing research, and points out that an organization creating atmosphere of encouragement for innovation can stimulate the employee's sense of self-efficacy and further make the individuals sense of self-reliance, sense of efficacy, which in turn leads to a sense of innovation among individual employees. This paper theoretically shows that organizational culture plays a rather positive part in guiding individual employee to display innovative behaviors, and by summarizing and reviewing the existing studies, it points out the future development prospect of this field, which will provide reference and help for the subsequent researchers to carry out their studies.

Abstract:Some researches have examined innovation across cultures/nations, and suggested that the adaptation to local culture and technological innovation were two key factors for firm's sustainable competitive advantage in the global market. However, despite the prevalence of research that has linked national cultural values to innovation activity, the relationship between culture and innovation has still been a black box. This paper examines the relationships between the dimensions of national cultural and incremental and radical innovation process. The propositions in the paper offer some theoretical guidance for technological innovation across cultures.

Abstract:Culture of innovation has profound meaning,and people have different understandings of this concept in different contexts.Based on the view of innovative country and society,this article presents a systematic analysis framework of innovation culture,which includes some sub-cultures emerged in the process of the production of new knowledge,commercialization of knowledge and the consumption of knowledge.We name the three sub-cultures as Knowing culture,Doing culture,and Using culture,and we discuss the different features of the sub-cultures in the end of this article.At last,this article discusses the usage and the implication in practice of the framework and,as an example,the paper also analyses the disadvantages of using culture in China.
