Abstract:The improved synthesis method of 4′ (6 bromohexyloxy) 4 hydroxy biphenyl was reported. The yield was increased from 54% to 72%. The final product structure was characterized by FTIR? 1 NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract:4,4'-Bis(dimethoxyphosphonomethyl)-diphenyl was synthesized from trimethoxyfosfin and halogenated hydrocarbons.Effect of molar ratio,reaction time,temperature and amount of solvent on the yield was investigated.The experimental results showed that the yield of 4,4'-bis(dimethoxyphosphonomethyl)-diphenyl was about 91.5%,purity was 98.6% under the following conditions:dichloromethyl biphenyl∶trimethyl phosphite(molar ratio) was 3∶1,temperature was 110 ℃,time was 2 h and solventamount was 160 mL.

Abstract:Pyridazine was prepared by hydrogenolysis of 3,6-dichloropyridazine obtained via chlorination of 3,6-pyridazine diol with phosphorus oxychloride.3,6-Pyridazine diol was prepared by cyclization of hydrazine dihydrochloride and maleic anhydride.The feasible reaction conditions were as follows: cyclization: the mole ratio of maleic anhydride to hydrazine dihydrochloride was 1∶1,100°C,3 h;chlorination: the mole ratio of 3,6-pyridazine diol to phosphorus oxychloride was 1∶12.5,100～105°C,5 h;catalytic hydrogenolysis: the mole ratio of 3,6-dichloropyridazine to triethylamine was 1∶2.6,50°C,H_2 0.5 MPa,6 h.The overall yield was 62.2%(mol).The product was identified by melting point test,()~1H NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract:A procedure for synthesis of 2-methoxyphenothiazine (1) has been developed, starting from resorcinol and aniline by condensation, following methylation and cyclization. p-Toluenesulfonic acid and polysubstituted aromatics were employed as the catalyst of condensation and the solvent of cyclization, respectively, to improve the yield. The use of parallel experiments, statistical experimental design, and multivariate modeling made the total yield of the procedure as high as 74.2%. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2012).

Abstract:An efficient synthesis of novel phenoxyimine ligands containing a difluorovinylbiphenyl group was based on the Suzuki coupling coupling of 4-bromo-2,6-difluoroaniline with 4-styrylboronic acid followed by a condensation reaction with various arylaldehydes. The structures were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and HRMS. The advantages of this synthetic route were its simple operation, mild reaction conditions and good yields.

Abstract:4-Methoxy-3-halogenated biphenyl was synthesized from p-dimethoxybenzidine via diazotization at -5～0℃ and Sandmeyer reaction with cuprous bromide or cuprous chloride at 90℃,some factors affected the reaction, such as the material ratio, the reaction time and temperature were discussed. The structure of the product was confirmed by melting point, IR and ~1HNMR.The resultsshow that the total yield of 3-chloro-4-methoxybiphenyl synthesized by this preparation procedure was 63% and 3-bromo-4-methoxybiphenyl was 51%.

Abstract:A new method for synthesis of synthesis 6-hydroxy-3, 4-dihydro-2(lH) quinolinone was investigated with higher yield and simpler operation. The title compound was prepared starting from 3-chloropropionyl chloride, via cyclizing, nitration, reduction, diazotization and hydrolysis. The total yield is 67.7%, and the yield of each step is between 86.5% -99.6%. 6-Hydroxy-3, 4-dihydro-2(1H)quinolinone was characterized by MS and 1H NMR.

Abstract:An important organic intermediate 4-hydroxymethylbenzophenone was synthesized by halogenation and hydrolyzation with phase transfer catalytic method using 4-methylbenzophenone as raw material and the technological conditions of reactions were investigated as well. Experimental results show that N -bromosuccinimide (NBS) is a good reagent to give 4-bromomethylbenzophenone undergoing a radical reaction with 4-methylbenzophenone with the yield of about 70.7%; 4-bromomethylbenzophenone can be hydrolyzed under basic conditions in the presence of phase transfer catalyst triethylbenzylammonium chloride for 5 h to give 4-hydroxymethylbenzophenone with yield of 84.4%. After the crude product is recrystallized from tetrahydrofuran (THF), the final product is obtained with purity above 99%. The structure of the titled compound is determined by infrared spectrum(IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (HNMR), and mass spectrum (MS) and elemental analysis (EA).

Abstract:4,4'-dinitrodiphenyl sulfone was obtained by using 4-chloronitrobenzene,sodium sulfide and concentrated nitric acid as raw materials,tetrabutylammonium bromide as catalyst to conduct substitution reaction and oxidation reaction respectively while related condition of the reactions was optimized and selected as following: the molar ratio of 4-chloronitrobenzene and sodium sulfide was 1.8∶1;the reaction period was 3 hours;and the reaction temperature was 85 ℃.Meanwhile,the period of the oxidation reaction was 6 hours,and the oxidation reaction temperature was 100 ℃,the total yield of 4,4'-dinitrodiphenyl sulfone was 71.2% as well as its purity was 98.9%.The structures of the intermediate and the aimed compound were confirmed by IR and HNMR.The procedure was characterized by cheap and available raw materials,being operated easily,low cost and high yield,so it was positively available to be industrialized.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To improve the process of synthesis of 3-(3-chloropropyl)-1,3-dihydro-7,8-dimethoxyl-2H-3-benzazepin-2-one.METHODS The target compoundⅠwas synthesized from 3,4-dimethox-phenylacetyl chloride Ⅲ which consisted of chloration,acylation,condensation,substitution and hydrolysis reaction.RESULTS and CONCLUSION The improved synthetic method is convenient and might be applied for the industrial manufacture with the increased overall yield from 44% to 48%.

Abstract:The chiral diphosphines, R- and S-(6,6'-dimethoxy-2,2'-bis(diarylphosphino)-1,1'-biphenyl, have been prepared with six steps from commercially available 3-bromoanisole by a concise synthetic route. This approach was also an efficient synthetic method for the biphenyl diphosphines with the different diarylphosphino group.

Abstract:3-(4-t-Butylphenyl)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-propen-1-one(1) in yield of 91% was synthesized by condensation reaction of 4-t-butylbenzaldehyde with 4-methoxyacetophenone using sodium methoxide as a catalyst.4-t-Butyl-4′-methoxydibenzoylmethane(2) in overall yield of 81% was prepared by addition reaction of 1 with bromine,and then debromination in presence of sodium methoxide.The structure of 2 was confirmed by UV and 1H NMR.

Abstract:2-Bromo-6-chloro-3(2H)-benzofuranone is an intermediate of pesticides with condensed heterocyclic structure. Using 4-chloro salicylic acid as starting material, through novel method, via esterification, etherification, hydrolysis, cyclization, bromination to give the product. The total yield of the title product is 19%. The structure of the product is confirmed by MS and 1H NMR.

Abstract:4,6-Diaminoresorcinol dihydrochloride was synthesized with 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene as the starting material through nitration,substitution and hydrogenation.2,6-Bis(p-aminophenyl)benzo[1,2-d;5,4-d′]-bisoxazole was synthesized by condensation of 4,6-diaminoresorcinol dihydrochloride with 4-aminobenzoic acid in polyphosphoric acid(PPA).The reaction temperature and system composition in condensation step were optimized.The total yield was 70%.

Abstract:3,4,5,6-Tetrabromophenolsulfonephthalein was synthesized by the reaction of 2-sulfobenzoic acid cyclic anhydride suffered from bromination with phenol.The crude product was purified by solvent extraction and recrystallization with a purity of the product of 97.45% and a yield of 36.5%,respectively.

Abstract:Benzophenone,as a starting material,went through a series of reactions,such as Darzens,methanolysis and hydrolysis to give 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-3,3-diphenylpropionic acid(5).The latter reacted with L-proline methyl ester hydrochloride(7) and a diasterotropic resolution was carried out to provide the key intermediate(S)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-3,3-diphenylpropionic acid(6).Finally,the target product ambrisentan(1) was obtained from 2-methylsulfonyl-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine(8) and 6 via a nucleophilic substitution with an overall yield of 26.5%.

Abstract:2,6-Bis(p-aminophenyl)benzo[1,2-d;5,4-d']bisoxazole was synthesized with 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene as the starting material in four steps including nitration, substitution, hydrogenation and condensation with total yield of 70%. In addition, an effective purification method for 2,6-bis(p-aminophenyl)benzo[1,2-d;5,4-d']bisoxazole was established. In comparison with other methods, there are some advantages in this method: the materials are cheap and easily available, and the product can be used as a monomer in polymerization.
