We use the Fermilab action for the heavy quarks, the Asqtad action for the light quarks, and an improved gluon action. The mixing effect on the mass of the light-quark hybrid meson through Low-energy theorem has been examined too, and it is found that this mixing shifts the mass of hybrid meson and glueball a little.

Abstract:We perform the two-loop matching calculation for heavy-to-light currents from QCD onto soft-collinear effective theory for the complete set of Dirac structures. The newly obtained matching coefficients enter several phenomenological applications, of which we discuss heavy-to-light form factor ratios and exclusive radiative decays, as well as the semi-inclusive decay B¯→Xsℓ+ℓ−. For this decay, we observe a significant shift of the forward–backward asymmetry zero and find q02=(3.34−0.25+0.22)GeV2 for an invariant mass cut mXcut=2.0GeV.

Heavy-to-light form factors to three loops

Abstract:We compute three-loop corrections of $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_{s}^3)$ to form factors with one massive and one massless quark coupling to an external vector, axialvector, scalar, pseudoscalar, or tensor current. We obtain analytic results for the color-planar contributions, for the contributions of light-quark loops, and the contributions with two heavy-quark loops. For the computation of the remaining master integrals we use the "expand and match" approach which leads to semi-analytic results for the form factors. We implement our results in a {\tt Mathematica} and a {\tt Fortran} code which allows for fast and precise numerical evaluations in the physically relevant phase space. The form factors are used to compute the hard matching coefficients in Soft-Collinear Effective Theory for all currents. The tensor coefficients at light-like momentum transfer are used to extract the hard function in $\bar B \to X_s \gamma$ to three loops.

Abstract:The spectrum of the $0^{++}$, $0^{--}$, $1^{-+}$ and $1^{+-}$ heavy-light hybrids have been calculated in HQET. The interpolated current of the hybrid is chosen as $g\bar q\gamma_{\alpha}G_{\alpha\mu}^aT^ah_{\it v}(x)$, $g\bar q\gamma_{\alpha}\gamma_{5}G_{\alpha\mu}^aT^ah_{\it v}(x)$ and $g\bar q\sigma_{\mu\alpha}G_{\alpha\mu}^aT^ah_{\it v}(x)$. Some strong couplings and decay widths of the heavy-light hybrids to $B(D)\pi$ are calculated by using the QCD sum rules. The mass of $0^{++}$ hybrid with gluon in TM($1^{--}$) or TE($1^{+-}$) mode is found similar, while their decay widths are different. A two-point correlation function between the pion and vacuum is employed and the leading order of $1/M_Q$ expansion is kept in our calculation.

Abstract:The decay widths of the 0(++) and 1(-+) heavy-light, hybrids to B(D) and pion are calculated by using the QCD sum rules. The interpolated current of the hybrid is chosen as <g(q)over bar>gamma(alpha)G(alpha mu)(a)T(a)h(upsilon)(x). In order to simplify the calculation and avoid the ambiguity of the three-point correlation unction, a two-point correlation function between the pion and vacuum is used instead. The decay width of the 0(++)-->B(D) is about 12(16) MeV, while the 1(-+)-->B(D) is around 0.4(1.8) MeV. We keep the leading-order of 1/M-Q expansion in our calculation for convenience. Abstract: We summarise a Dyson-Schwinger-equation-based calculation of an extensive range of light- and heavy-meson observables, characterised by heavy-meson leptonic decays, semileptonic heavy-to-heavy and heavy-to-light transitions, radiative and strong decays, and the rare flavour-changing neutral-current process. In the calculation the heavy-quark mass functions are approximated by constants, interpreted as their constituent mass.

Abstract:In the limit mQ>mQvrel>mQvrel2≫ΛQCD hadronic states with two heavy quarks Q should be describable by a version of HQET where the heavy quark is replaced by a di-quark degree of freedom. In this limit the di-quark is a small (compared with 1/ΛQCD) color anti-triplet, bound primarily by a color Coulomb potential. The excited Coulombic states and color six states are much heavier than the color anti-triplet ground state. The low lying spectrum of hadrons containing two heavy quarks is then determined by the coupling of the light quarks and gluons with momentum of order ΛQCD to this ground state di-quark. In this short paper we calculate the coefficient of leading local operator (Sv†Sv)(q¯γμvμq) that couples this color anti-triplet di-quark field Sv (with four-velocity v) directly to the light quarks q in the low energy effective theory. It is O(1/(αs(mQvrel)mQ2)). While our work is mostly of pedagogical value we make an estimate of the contribution of this operator to the masses of Ξbbq baryon and TQQq¯q¯ tetraquark using the non-relativistic constituent quark model.

Abstract:A bstract We present the analytic and compact two-loop helicity amplitudes for QCD and QED corrections to the light-by-light scattering process with massive internal fermions. We express the master integrals either in terms of multiple polylogarithms or in terms of iterated integrals with dlog one-forms. We also elaborate on optimising the analytic results for each phase-space region. This makes the numerical evaluation of the scattering amplitudes fast, stable and suitable for phenomenological applications.

Abstract:We report on exploratory studies of heavy-light meson semileptonic decays using Asqtad light quarks, NRQCD heavy quarks and Symanzik improved glue on coarse quenched lattices. Oscillatory contributions to three-point correlators coming from the staggered light quarks are found to be handled well by Bayesian fitting methods. B meson decays to both the Goldstone pion and to one of the point-split non-Goldstone pions are investigated. One-loop perturbative matching of NRQCD/Asqtad heavy-light currents is incorporated.

Calculation of heavy meson light-cone distribution amplitudes from lattice QCD

Abstract:We develop an approach for calculating heavy quark effective theory (HQET) light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) by employing a sequential effective theory methodology. The theoretical foundation of the framework is established, elucidating how the quasi distribution amplitudes (quasi DAs) with three scales can be utilized to compute HQET LCDAs. We provide theoretical support for this approach by demonstrating the rationale behind devising a hierarchical ordering for the three involved scales, discussing the factorization at each step, clarifying the underlying reason for obtaining HQET LCDAs in the final phase, and addressing potential theoretical challenges. The lattice QCD simulation aspect is explored in detail, and the computations of quasi DAs are presented. We employ three fitting strategies to handle contributions from excited states and extract the bare matrix elements. For renormalization purposes, we apply hybrid renormalization schemes at short and long distance separations. To mitigate long-distance perturbations, we perform an extrapolation in $\lambda= z\cdot P^z$ and assess the stability against various parameters. After two-step matching, our results for HQET LCDAs are found in agreement with existing model parametrizations. The potential phenomenological implications of the results are discussed, shedding light on how these findings could impact our understanding of the strong interaction dynamics and physics beyond the standard model. It should be noted, however, that systematic uncertainties have not been accounted for yet.

Abstract:We present analytic results for three-loop fermionic corrections to the heavy-light form factors in perturbative quantum chromodynamics. Specifically, we present all light quark contributions and contributions from two heavy quark loops. We use the method of differential equations to compute all relevant three-loop master integrals. The results for all these contributions are expressed in terms of harmonic polylogarithms and generalized harmonic polylogarithms.

Abstract:The light cone gauge with light cone variables is often used in pQCD calculations in relativistic heavy ion collision physics. The Hard Thermal Loops (HTL) resummation is an indispensable technique for hot QCD calculation. It was developed in covariant gauges with conventional Minkowski varaiables; we shall extend this method to the light cone gauge. In the real time formalism, using the Mandelstam-Leibbrant prescription of (nK)(-1), we calculate the transverse and longitudinal components of the gluon HTL self energy, and prove that there are no infrared divergences. With this HTL self energy, we derive the HTL resummed gluon propagator in the light cone gauge. We also calculate the quark HTL self energy and the resummed quark propagator in the light cone gauge and find it is gauge independent. As application examples, we analytically calculate the damping rates of hard quarks and gluons with the HTL resummed gluon propagator in the light cone gauge and showed that they are gauge independent. The final physical results are identical to those computed in covariant gauge, as they should be.

Abstract:We investigate the light quarkonium hybrid mesons of various spin-parities in QCD. Considering different interpolating currents made of the valence light quarks and single gluon, we calculate the mass and current coupling of the strange and nonstrange members of light hybrid mesons by including into computations the nonperturbative quark and gluon condensates up to ten dimensions in order to increase the accuracy of the results. The obtained results may be useful for future experimental searches of these hypothetical states. They can also be used in the calculations of different parameters related to the decays/interactions of light hybrid mesons to/with other states.
