Abstract:The decay widths of the 0(++) and 1(-+) heavy-light, hybrids to B(D) and pion are calculated by using the QCD sum rules. The interpolated current of the hybrid is chosen as <g(q)over bar>gamma(alpha)G(alpha mu)(a)T(a)h(upsilon)(x). In order to simplify the calculation and avoid the ambiguity of the three-point correlation unction, a two-point correlation function between the pion and vacuum is used instead. The decay width of the 0(++)-->B(D) is about 12(16) MeV, while the 1(-+)-->B(D) is around 0.4(1.8) MeV. We keep the leading-order of 1/M-Q expansion in our calculation for convenience. Abstract:We calculate the decay width of the using light-cone sum rules. For the initial quark radiation an effective Hamiltonian is constructed, where the internal quark line shrinks to a point. The final quark radiation is studied within the full theory. The leading twist light-cone distribution amplitudes of the serve as the non-perturbative input for the sum rules calculation, and the perturbative kernel is calculated at leading order. The branching fraction we obtain is , which is below the recent upper limits and given by the Belle collaboration and the BESIII collaboration, respectively.

Abstract:We overview the current status and future perspectives of the QCD-based method of light-cone sum rules. The two main versions of these sum rules, using light-meson and $B$-meson distribution amplitudes are introduced and the most important applications of the method are discussed. We also outline open problems and future perspectives of this method.

Heavy Hybrid Meson Masses Derived from QCD Sum Rules in Heavy Quark Effective Theory

Abstract:We first derive the mass sum rules for the heavy hybrid mesons to obtain the binding energy and decay constants in the leading order of HQET. The pionic couplings between the lightest $1^{-+}$ hybrid $(Q\bar q g)$ and the lowest three heavy meson doublets are calculated with the light cone QCD sum rules. With $SU_f (3)$ flavor symmetry we calculate the widths for all the possible two-body decay processes with a Goldstone boson in the final state. The total width of the $1^{-+}$ hybrid is estimated to be 300 MeV. We find the dominant decay mode of the $1^{-+}$ hybrid is $1^{-+}\to \pi + 1^+$ where the $1^+$ heavy meson belongs to the $(1^+,2^+)$ doublet. Its branching ratio is about 80% so this mode can be used for the experimental search of the lowest heavy hybrid meson.

The O(1/m Q) terms in these amplitutes are found to be small. When applied to D 1 and D * 2 the theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data though the theoretical uncertainty is sizable for the D system. 1 Introduction Important progress has been achieved in understanding the properties of heavy mesons composed of a heavy quark and a light quark with the development of the heavy quark effective theory (HQET) [1]. HQET provides a systematic expansion of the heavy hadron spectra and transition amplitude in terms of 1/m Q , where m Q is the heavy quark mass. Of course one has to employ some specific nonperturbative methods to arrive at the detailed predictions. Among the various nonpeturbative methods, QCD sum rules is useful to extract the low-lying hadron properties [2]. The propertes of the ground state heavy mesons have been studied with the QCD sum rules in HQET in [3], [6]. In [4] the mass of the lowest excited heavy meson doublets (2 + , 1 +) and (1 + , 0 +) were studied with QCD sum rules in the heavy quark effective theory (HQET) up to the order of O(1/m Q). The widths for pionic decays of the lowest two excited doublets (2 + , 1 +) and (1 + , 0 +) is calculated with conventional QCD sum rules in the leading order of HQET in [5]. Abstract:The light scalar meson nonet above 1 GeV ({\it i.e.\}the $a_{0}$, $K^{\ast}_{0}$ and $f_{0}$) are studied within the framework of QCD sum rules. In conventional QCD sum rules, the calculated masses of this nonet are degenerate, and the mass of $K^{\ast}_{0}$ is always larger than the $a_{0}$ in contradiction with the observed spectrum. After improving the correlation function by including instanton effects, the masses are well separated from each other. In particular, our results shows glueball content plays an important role in the underlying structure of $f_{0}(1500)$. The decay constants are also discussed.

Abstract:General formulas for decay widths of heavy mesons with arbitrary spin and parity to the heavy meson ground state plus a {pi} or {ital K} are derived in the leading order of the 1/{ital M} expansion in the relativistic BS equation. Numerical results for various partial decay widths of 1{sup +}, 2{sup +} doublets in the {ital D}, {ital D}{sub {ital s}}, {ital B}, and {ital B}{sub {ital s}} series are obtained with a kernel used previously to obtain the spectra of low-lying states in these series, in good agreement with experiments. The results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data when they are available.

Abstract:We study the spectra of the hybrid mesons containing one heavy quark (qQ̅g) within the framework of QCD sum rules in the heavy quark limit. The derived sum rules are stable with the variation of the Borel parameter within their corresponding working ranges. The extracted binding energy for the heavy hybrid doublets H^h(S^h) and M^h(T^h) is almost degenerate. We also calculate the pionic couplings between these heavy hybrid and the conventional heavy meson doublets using the light-cone QCD sum rule method. The extracted coupling constants are rather small as a whole. With these couplings we make a rough estimate of the partial widths of these pionic decay channels.
On the potential of Light-Cone Sum Rules without semi-global Quark-Hadron Duality

Abstract:This work addresses the calculation of local form factors involved in the theoretical predictions of semileptonic $B$-meson decays at low-$q^2$. We present a new approach to the method of QCD Light-Cone Sum Rule with $B-$meson Light-Cone Distribution Amplitudes. In our strategy, we bypass the semi-global quark-hadron duality (QHD) approximation which usually contributes an unknown and potentially large systematic error to the prediction of form factors. We trade this improvement for an increased reliance on higher-order contributions in perturbation theory. Unlike the systematic error from semi-global QHD, truncation errors are assessable and systematically improvable, hence allowing robust predictions of form factors. For the transitions $B\to \pi,\rho,K^{(*)}$, our predictions agree with the literature for all form factors at $q^2=0$.

Abstract:In the heavy quark limit a heavy baryon which contains two heavy quarks is believed to be composed of a heavy diquark and a light quark. Based on this picture, we evaluate the weak semileptonic decay rates of such baryons. The transition form factors between two heavy baryons are associated with those between two heavy mesons by applying superflavor symmetry. The effective vertices of the W boson and two heavy diquarks are obtained in terms of the Bethe-Salpeter equation. Numerical predictions on these semileptonic decay widths are presented and they will be tested in future experiments. [S0556-2821(98)00721-8].

Abstract:We investigate the hyperon semileptonic decays within the framework of QCD sum rules. The flavor $ SU(3) $ symmetry breaking effects are analyzed via the relevant form factors and corresponding branching fractions. Employing the $ z $-series parameterization to capture the $ q^2 $ dependence of form factors, we calculate the hyperon semileptonic decay rates and confront them with the recent experimental measurements. Moreover, we calculate as well the non-standard tensor form factors, which involve certain new physics beyond the standard model.

Abstract:We construct the interpolating currents for the fourteen p-wave excited heavy baryons in the framework of heavy-quark effective theory (HQET). At the leading order in the 1/mQ expansion these interpolating currents do not mix different states with the same JP with each other. We use QCD sum rule to calculate the masses of the p-wave excited J=1/2 spin doublet heavy baryons in the mQ→∞ limit. We discuss some implications of our results.

Abstract:In this paper, we reanalyze the I = 0 scalar channel with the improved Monte-Carlo-based QCD sum rules, which combines the rigorous Holder-inequality-determined sum rule window and a parametrization with two-Breit-Wigner-type resonances for the phenomenological spectral density that satisfies the low-energy theorem for the scalar form factor. Considering the uncertainties of the QCD parameters and the experimental masses and widths of the scalar resonances sigma and f(0)(980), we obtain a prediction for light quark mass m(q) (2 GeV) = 1/2 (m(u)(2 GeV) + m(d)(2 GeV)) = 4.7(-0.7)(+0.8) MeV, which is consistent with the Particle Data Group value and QCD sum rule determinations in the pseudoscalar channel. This agreement provides a consistent framework connecting QCD sum rules and low-energy hadronic physics. We also obtain the decay constants of sigma and f(0)(980) at 2 GeV, which are approximately 0.64-0.83 and 0.40-0.48 GeV, respectively.
