Abstract:The Internet of Things (IoT) is enabled by the latest developments in wireless technologies, smart sensors, communication technologies, and Internet. However, there are still many problems remaining during the development, especially lacking of automatic registration and management method for physical objects consisting of perceived objects and sensors. Manual object registration makes maintenance hard and is very difficult to guarantee the integrity and consistency of the object information. In this paper, we propose a physical object encoding method based on their spatial positions which provides the necessary information for the establishment of the topological relationship among objects. On this basis, we present an object registration mechanism which enables automatic management of objects and ensure the consistency and integrity of object information.
