Abstract:Laboratory is a main place for practical teaching and scientific research in universities, and laboratory security is a key link to ensure the normal development of teaching and research activities, as well as security of teachers and students’ lives and property. However, in some universities, due to many issues in security management, laboratory security accidents often occur. In response to solve problems such as low informatization, high labor costs, non real-time, unreliability and unable to prevent security accidents in the process of laboratory security management in some universities. In this article, a laboratory security monitoring system based on the Internet of Things(IoT), which is mainly controlled by STM32. It consists of fire alarm module and security prevention module. The fire alarm module collects laboratory environmental parameters through smoke sensors and temperature-humidity sensors, and uploads the parameters to the cloud platform for real-time monitoring. When the environmental parameters exceed the set threshold, the buzzer will generate an alarm prompt and control the operation of actuators such as fans and relays to adjust the environmental parameters. The security prevention module implements security functions through human infrared sensors, noise sensors, and RFID modules. When entering within the set time range, it can be accessed through RFID card swiping, and the number of card swiping times can be uploaded to the cloud platform for real-time monitoring. When someone passes through the laboratory outside the specified time range, the situation of personnel passing by can be monitored on the cloud platform, making it convenient for management personnel to grasp the security status in real-time. At the same time, the laboratory noise value is measured through noise sensors. When abnormal noise value is found, it can be monitored through the cloud platform, reminding management personnel to conduct security inspections on site. The functions implemented by the system meet the design requirements.
