Abstract:MnZn power ferrites were prepared by conventional oxide ceramic process.The influence of ZnO content on the temperature dependence of initial permeability(μi) and losses of MnZn power ferrites were investigated by means of characterizing the fracture surface micrograph,electrical resistivity,magnetic properties and density.The results indicated that at room temperature,all of the density,initial permeability,saturation magnetic induct ion and electrical resistivity of MnZn power ferrites all increased initially and then decreased with the increase of ZnO content,while the losses decreased first and increased subsequently,and Curie temperature decreased monotonously.Meanwhile,the temperature of secondary maximum peak of μi-T curve and the minimum losses temperature moved to lower temperature while the ZnO content increased.When the content of ZnO was 14.5%,the initial permeability,saturation magnetic induction,density and electrical resistivity reached their maxima,while the hysteresis loss(Ph),eddy current loss(Pe) and the total losses(Pcv) achieved their minima.The Ph-T and μi-T curves varied contrarily,and due to the contribution of extral eddy current loss(Pe,exc) which was proportional to Ph,the Pe-T curve did not agree with its classical expression.Finally,when the content of ZnO was 14.0%,MnZn ferrite with high initial permeability(3 180) at room temperaturer and low losses(280～350 kW/m3) within wide temperature range of 25～120 ℃ has been obtained.
