Abstract:Based on dynamic and distributed characteristic of remote sensing Integrated survey data, combined with the theory of multi-agent, built up a architecture which integrated data base with the model base and knowledge base, real- ized the core function of information management and decision-making. and brought forward a decision-making process based on this architecture. then discussed the information collection and database management, brought forward a scheme to store and manage data based on Geodatabase of ArcInfo. Some key technology of the system about agent learning and case reasoning also introduced in the article. in the end, proved its reasonability and practicality by building a prototype.

Abstract:With the prevalence of the Web, most decision-makers are likely to use the Web to support their decision-making. Web-based technologies are leading a major stream of researching decision support systems (DSS). We propose a formal definition and a conceptual framework for Web-based open DSS (WODSS). The formal definition gives an overall view of WODSS, and the conceptual framework based on browser/broker/server computing mode employs the electronic market to mediate decision-makers and providers, and facilitate sharing and reusing of decision resources. We also develop an admitting model, a trading model and a competing model of electronic market in WODSS based on market theory in economics. These models reveal the key mechanisms that drive WODSS operate efficiently.

Abstract:A networked decision support mode based on Internet and virtual organization is proposed for making rapid and rational decision under the highly dynamical and competitive environment of current enterprises. The systems main process model and system architecture are described. Two dynamical-modeling based software frameworks with different level of integration are presented and related with their communication processes respectively. The advantages and disadvantages of the two software frameworks are compared and discussed.

Abstract:To flexibly integrate various systems at different stages and improve the openness and reusability of information in remote collaborative product development, a framework of integrated product modeling based on Web Services is presented The integrated model consists of a master model and application models that combine static and dynamic information supporting whole product lifecycle. The master model contains the core and shared information. The application model relating to specific manufacture domain is built up by extracting the master model and complementing domain information. The flexible integration of heterogeneous systems is ensured by the use of Web Services. The openness and expansibility are preserved by combining STEP and XML for information representation and exchange. The high reusability of product information is achieved by using a service-oriented multi-granularity schema The information consistency among the master model and application models is maintained through a coordinated-protocol for rapidly acquiring alteration and reacting to it.

Abstract:Model management is an important research topic in the Decision Support Systems. Current research focuses on methods and theories to improve shareability, and effective utilization of decision models in an organization. This paper presents a Web services approach to the representation and design of model base in organizational model management. Ontology is used for the model base design, and "decision ontology" is proposed for model management. XML is used for the exchangeable representation of decision ontology. The proposed methods and theories are used in the construction of a DSS for R&D project selection at the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The proposed approach makes use of the Web services technologies, it allows the sharing and reuse of decision models in the Internet environment.

Abstract:It is significant to build an expert system on the Intemet, because an expert system on the Intemet can beshared by anybody who is online. Currently, there are tow ways to do it. One is to translate the traditional expert systeminto the Intemet expert system. The other is to build multi-expert-system on the Internet. In this article, we discuss thearchitecture and implementation of an expert system based on the Web techniques and the suitability of various dynamicweb system solutions for developing Internet expert system. Abstract:Internetware is envisioned as a general software paradigm for the application style of resources integration and sharing in the open, dynamic and uncertain platforms such as the Internet. Continuing the agent-based Internetware model presented in a previous paper, in this paper, after an analysis of the behavioral patterns and the technical challenges of environment-driven applications, a software-structuring model is proposed for environment-driven Internetware applications. A series of explorations on the enabling techniques for the model, especially the modeling, management and utilization of context information are presented. Several prototypical systems have also been built to prove the concepts and evaluate the techniques. These research efforts make a further step toward the Internetware paradigm by providing an initial framework for the construction of context-aware and self-adaptive software application systems in the open network environment.

Abstract:This paper presents a novel architecture for collaborative multi-agent functional modeling in design on the semantic Web. The proposed architecture is composed of two visiting levels, i.e., local level and global level. The local level is an ontology-based functional modeling framework, which uses Web ontology language (OWL) to build a domain-specific local functional design ontology repository. Using this local ontology repository, the requests coming from the functional design agent can be parsed and performed effectively. The global level is a distributed multi-agent collaborative virtual environment, in which, OWL is used as a content language within the standard FIPA agent communication language (FIPA ACL) messages for describing ontologies, enabling diverse functional design ontologies between different agents to be communicated freely. The proposed architecture facilitates the exchange between diverse knowledge representation schemes in different functional modeling environments, and supports computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) between multiple functional design agents

Abstract:The architecture of Web Service and SOAP protocol were studied, and the main steps to build and apply Web Service in the Internet applications were provided in this paper. Based on OPEN-CLASS, which is a distributed long-distance learning system built on Web Services techniques, a RSRM (Resources, Services, Roles and Methods) model was presented and formalized to solve the problem of the software component reused under web environment. Results manifest that the OPEN-CLASS system is stable and efficient with rapid response rate and user Bandwidth to use under the campus network condition.

Abstract:With the prevalence of the Web, most decision-makers are likely to use the Web to support their decision-making. Furthermore, many decision-makers begin to seek cooperators on the Internet to help them to solve complex decision problem. In the paper, we propose a research framework for Group Cooperative Decision Support System (GCDSS) and determine three layers such as task layer, cooperator layer and resource layer to characterize it and demonstrate how electronic market could facilitate cooperation in GCDSS. Then we present the negotiation model of GCDSS and propose a task decomposition method based on which one can decompose a complex problem into a formal task AND/OR tree. We also propose a task assignment method based on extended Contract Net to perform task allocation in GCDSS and describe the group cooperative decision-making process in Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language (KQML). An optimal policy is designed to find the optimal solution of task AND/OR tree and cooperative problem solving process is illustrated with an example for education development plan in China. Finally, we conclude with a brief overview of research contribution, along with some proposals for further research.

Abstract:Building and management of model base are very important jobs in practical decision support system. There are very few concerns on some basic conceptions of model base in current researches, which contain convinced definition of characters of model base and correlative methodology etc. After analyzing what were the key problems of building and management model base, we redefined the characters of model base and structure of model base management system, and then brought forward a solution to build and manage model base. This solution embodied the technologies of agent and object-oriented software engineering. In the end, we discussed a method of implementation with J2EE, which provided perfect software architecture for our task.

Abstract:Enterprise marketing has the characteristics of importance and distribution, so a distributed intelligent decision support system is needed to support the marketing decision. On the basis of sufficiently analyzing the necessity and feasibility for using the multi-intelligent-agent technology to develop the distributed marketing decision support system, this paper designs a three-layer system structure composed of decision customer layer, decision core layer and decision resource layer. Then the article discusses the information flow between the intelligent agents of the system, and puts forward to utilize the communication mechanism based on messages and the cooperation mechanism based on the contract net protocol to implement the communication and cooperation with each intelligent agent in system.

Abstract:The emergence of mobile computing environments brings out various changes in the requirements and applications involving distributed data and has made the traditional Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) architectures based on the client/server model ineffective in mobile computing environments. This paper discusses the deficiencies of the current IDSS architectures based on data warehouse, on-line analysis processing (OLAP), model base (MB) and knowledge based (KB) technologies. By adopting the agent technology, the paper extends the IDSS system architecture to the Mobile Decision Support System (MDSS) architecture. The logical structure and the application architecture of the MDSS and the mechanisms and implementation strategies of the User Access Agent System, a major component of the MDSS, are described in this paper.
