Abstract:In this paper, characteristics of quality knowledge management and the technology frame of semantic web supported by W3C are discussed. And then, ontology model for quality knowledge management is proposed, which is based on RDF. Finally, how to transform tacit quality knowledge into explicit ones and how to share explicit quality knowledge are expounded by an example of the compiling of quality manual.

Abstract:A natural language interface can make a geographic information system (GIS) easy to use. It allows one to use the natural language quickly and conveniently to operate in such as digital city management system or traffic guidance system. This paper discusses the method of nature language understanding in GIS based on ontology. Natural language understanding is general apply in computer or artificial intelligence research area, yet in GIS the natural language understanding is mainly concerned about spatial information. In order to implement the natural language understanding for spatial information perfectly we use the ontology model. First we put forward a generally process of natural language understanding in GIS, defined the conception of the ontology, next set up the ontology structure, ontology-based understanding model, also indicate the mechanism of natural language understanding based on ontology. Finally are a case study and a prototype, a discussion about the research deficiency and the development forecast of my research.

Abstract:Language understanding is one of the most important characteristics for human beings. As a pervasive phenomenon in natural language, metaphor is not only an essential thinking approach, but also an ingredient in human conceptual system. Many of our ways of thinking and experiences are virtually represented metaphorically. With the development of the cognitive research on metaphor, it is urgent to formulate a computational model for metaphor understanding based on the cognitive mechanism, especially with the view to promoting natural language understanding. Many works have been done in pragmatics and cognitive linguistics, especially the discussions on metaphor understanding process in pragmatics and metaphor mapping representation in cognitive linguistics. In this paper, a theoretical framework for metaphor understanding based on the embodied mechanism of concept inquiry is proposed. Based on this framework, ontology is introduced as the knowledge representation method in metaphor understanding, and metaphor mapping is formulated as ontology mapping. In line with the conceptual blending theory, a revised conceptual blending framework is presented by adding a lexical ontology and context as the fifth mental space, and a metaphor mapping algorithm is proposed.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of information standardization and semantization,the combination of information coding technology and ontology technology is applied to the information integration of manufacture enterprise in this paper.The information resource is organized by the classification of "information domain",and the hierarchical structure of ontological information coding system is constructed by analyzing the relationship of sub-domains and the relationship of information.The relations between essential properties and attached properties were analyzed by the method of ontology,and the model of the ontological information coding,which was validated by the material example,was formed.Finally,the frame of information integration based on ontological information coding was designed and the executable mechanism was expatiated.It proves that this model is suitable for the standardization and semantization of information in enterprise information integration.

Abstract:A technology of ontological information coding was researched to be applied to information integration of manufacturing enterprises. The information resource was organized by classification of "information domains", and the hierarchical structure of ontological information coding system was constructed by analyzing relationship of sub-domains and information objects. Relationships between key attributes and accessorial attributes were organized by ontology, and a model of ontological information coding, which was validated by example of "Material" was formed. At last, a frame of information integration based on ontological information coding was designed with its actualizing mechanism expatiated.

Abstract:Introducing the semantic Web technology into traditional tourism information system is a response to some problems of the present tourism information system in a Web-based environment.This paper presents the ontology establishing process and ontological architecture for the semantic Web.The methodology consists of building two separate ontologies,one for the user profile and another concerning tourism information and data.The classes hierarchy,properties,relations,instances and axioms derived from classes and slots are clearly defined to support the transparent information sharing and interoperability in semantics.The process of ontology evaluation indicates that,through the tourism ontology applications,the system can guarantee the consistency and completeness of domain knowledge and provide intelligence services in a more efficient way.

Abstract:Image object recognition is an important research field in computer vision. It has a wide application prospect and practical significance in the information age. Although the current image recognition technology has achieved high accuracy in some tasks, the computer has many deficiencies in the automatic recognition of images such as fine-grained recognition, recognition of complex scenes. In these tasks, some issues exist like insufficient precision, complex high-level semantics which is difficult to identify and so on. This paper reviews the application of ontology in image object recognition. It is found that combining ontology knowledge model and traditional image recognition technology can improve recognition accuracy, enhance high-level semantic recognition ability, reduce the demand of the large number of training samples, and improve the scalability of the image recognition system. Otherwise, this paper also summarizes the frontier research of ontology applied in the field of image object recognition and the difficulties of deep integration of different technologies and ontology.

Abstract:In order to improve the capability of semantic analysis in informationized environments,brought ontology into semantic analysis.Firstly,it suggested a comprehensive ontology building method after comparing and integrating typical ontology building methods.On this basis,it gave conceptual analysis and relation inference.By comparing ontology-based semantic analysis with other semantic analysis methods,it showed that the former was more systemic,more targeted with better reasoning ability.Finally,integrated function of ontology-based semantic analysis into existing system,and developed the capacity for relation inference and conflict recognition by taking an example of software defect information analysis.

OMSs are powerful tools to create ontologies and extend their applications and scope. This paper explains the basic design principles of an OMS and designs a general framework of OMSs. It devotes to promoting systematically research and development of OMSs.

Abstract:The technology of both ontology and Web services was discussed to support the system of textile enterprise resources.The effective way was proposed to implement semantic querying and information sharing.Ontology of textile enterprise is a description of knowledge between inside enterprises and internal enterprises.It not only promotes the problem of both knowledge sharing and semantic operating but also is convenient to manage knowledge and exchange information.According to textile enterprise features,ontology model was designed and established in each module and took the language OWL ontology for each module of formal description.Its application in textile enterprise showed that this model could implement semantic querying,information sharing and inter-system integrating.

Abstract:This paper proposed an approach to creating an ontology-based natural language interface to relational databases which allows end-users to access and query information in database with a natural language.In order to strengthen the reliability and the user-friendliness of the system,our approach integrates WordNet as the base lexicon and ontology as the knowledge base of the semantic interpreter.The user inputs will be first translated into a syntax tree by syntax analysis and parsing,then it will be translated into an intermediate expression language DRS by the ontology-based semantic interpreter.The SQL generator transfers DRS expressions into SQL sentences by a template technique.The DBMS executes SQL sentences and returns the final result.This paper presented the framework based on ontology techniques to implement portable NLIDBs that makes it easier to migrate from one domain to another.The prototype system and our experiments show that our approach has generated good results with excellent performance on common queries.

Abstract:The rising of semantic Web technology has advanced the development of ontology technology. Ontology as the foundation of semantic Web has exerted many significant role in knowledge expression and knowledge reasoning. After introducing OWL language, ontology and ontology reasoning, this paper constructed spatial ontology in digital urban planning and ontology reasoning system based on OWL then has finished relative reasoning experiment through applying this system. The experiment result indicated that spatial ontology that based on OWL not only extended the relations between classes and attributes, also improved the capability of inquire and reasoning.

Abstract:In recently years,ontology has become one of the most important disciplines in the fields of Requirement Engineering.Many experts focus their mind on the subjects of ontology language and ontology building.However,now,there are two problems in this field,First of all,it is difficult for common users to use the ontology languages,most of which are based on complex syntax and logic.The second,usually,the ontology building tools,which lack of function to support reuse and program on the ontology base,can only support ontology representation and terms browsing.This paper reports on a new ontology language,named PNL-ODL(Pseudo Natural Language Ontology Description Language) and an ontology building tools based on PNL-ODL,designed and developed in our lab.PNL-ODL can easily be used by people lack of knowledge on computer science and on support of the ontology building tools user can build the ontology base conveniently.Furthermore,we also introduce the organization ontology,which is represented in PNL-ODL,to discuss the reusable ability of ontology.
