Abstract:By analysis on the principle and structure of the parallel hydraulic hybrid excavator, an improved hydraulic hybrid scheme was proposed which uses a two-way hydraulic motor to replace the hydraulic secondary regulation pump and controls the assistant power loop by switching valve in different states. After modeling the new system with Simulink software, the parameters of the components and control method were determined. The double speed points control strategy was test on the improved parallel hydraulic hybrid excavator. The engine speed and the output torque of the assistant hydraulic power system were adjusted by an engine speed PID control method integrated with the load forecasting. The simulation and experiment results showed that the control method could effectively improve the engine speed fluctuation in the hydraulic hybrid system, and make the speed stable near the target speed, so energy-saving increases by 14%.

Abstract:A new design scheme of hydraulic pumping unit was brought forward to meet the requirements of long-stroke and low-frequency in the process of oil extraction.By adopting the new compound cylinder and combining the technology of electro-hydraulic proportional control and hydraulic counterweight,the unit appears to be more compact and applicative,meets the demands of long-stroke,low-frequency and large-load,and makes stroke and frequency fully-variable.

Abstract:In order to achieve good motion simulation results and meet the requirements of precision control, several key technologies and application were discussed, such as precision control of oil temperature, reducing air content, online measurement of bulk modulus of hydraulic oil and maintaining stability of oil supply pressure. Experimental research was carried out on the hydraulic driving system of comprehensive test bed for docking mechanism. The experimental results showed that the method used for oil temperature control through proportional water valve could achieve precise control of oil temperature, the method used for online vacuum degassing in closed hydraulic system could effectively improve bulk modulus of hydraulic oil, and the method used for pressure control in big flow changes was good.

Abstract:Mobile hydraulic systems are developed toward better control performance and higher energy efficiency. Pressure compensators, which govern the pressure drops over the control orifices, are widely used in multiactuator systems to improve their operability. However, additional energy is also dissipated in the compensators especially under the overrunning load conditions. This paper presents a novel energy-saving system, where the compensator is designed as a regeneration device consisting of a hydraulic motor and an electric generator. Then, hydraulic energy can be regenerated and pressure compensation function is realized by adapting the electromagnetic torque of the generator to the load as well. The close-loop control of the generator is designed by effective pressure drop estimation. The proposed energy-saving system and controller are implemented on an experimental platform of hybrid excavators which is equipped with an electric energy storage device. The experimental results show both good control performance and significant energy-saving effect.

Abstract:This paper studies a novel energy-saving hydraulic system, where a regeneration unit consisting of a hydraulic motor and an electric generator is used to take the place of a conventional pressure compensator. Thus hydraulic energy can be regenerated rather than dissipated in the compensator while load compensation function can be realized by adapting the electromagnetic torque of the generator to the loaded pressure. Modeling of the system is implemented and a simple feedback controller is designed based on pressure drop estimation. The proposed system and control algorithm are applied to an experimental platform of hybrid hydraulic excavator which is equipped with electrical energy storage elements. The experimental results show that expected control performance and significant energy saving can be obtained.

Abstract:A new concept of static-hydraulic system with secondary regulation was proposed,extending the coupling concept from the pressure coupled system to the flow coupled system.The basic configuration,the working principle and the characteristics of the flow coupled system with secondary regulation(FCSSR) were introduced and the differences between FCSSR and the traditional pressure coupled system with secondary regulation and between FCSSR and the traditional flow coupled system were analyzed.A mathematical model was established for FCSSR,and the test was performed.Test results indicate that FCSSR can recover and reuse the potential energy of the weight and realize the power matching among the electric motor,the hydraulic accumullator and the load.

Abstract:By means of simulation of complex nonlinear model of hydroturbine generating unit, the impact of the control law of hydraulic turbine governor on power system stability is researched, and a control idea of adopting water pressure feedback to improve power system stability is proposed. Simulation results show that due to the water hammer effect of water diversion system for hydroturbine generating unit, the automatic regulation of prime mover may deteriorates system damping and makes the decay rate of rotor vacillation decelerated evidently; however, by means of introducing the derivative feedback of water pressure the attenuation of rotor vacillation can be accelerated and improve power system stability effectively. The proposed method is simple and easy to implement in hydraulic turbine governor.

Abstract:Water hydraulic systems use water instead of oil as a pressure medium,so well keeping the water quality for long time is the foundation of making water hydraulic system run reliably.The differences between the requirements for tap water and those for water in water hydraulics were contrasted.With the help of water treatment technique,the potentially bad influence of water on water hydraulic system and the corresponding solutions were discussed in the aspects of impurity,erode,sediment,microbe and system cleaning.A recommended water quality parameter was given for water hydraulics and an example on how to clean a water hydraulic system periodically was described.

Abstract:In this paper, double closed-loop mathematical model ofhydrostatic transmission system with secondary regulation is established. A contrast study is carried out on single and double close-loop control systems. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that better control results can be achieved with double closed-loop control system than single one due to improving the damping ratio of the system.

Abstract:The disadvantages of traditional hydraulic circuits regulating speed with a throttle or variable displacement are first analyzed;then. the advantages and development background of variable frequency hydraulic technology are introduced. This article pointed out that the variable frequency hydraulic system is an overall energy-saving system which can realize power match from the main power supply to execution mechanism. Development and application as well as the research situation of variable frequency hydraulic technology are described in detail. The problems in variable frequency hydraulic technology are discussed, which mainly involve low velocity stability, response time, startup or direction changing smoothness, velocity tracking precision and efficiency. Some kinds of solutions for these problems are presented. In the last part of the article, the developing prospect of variable frequency hydraulic technology is given.

Abstract:The entire structure and principle of a pendulum wave energy converter (WEC) are introduced, and the designs of the dual-medium pressuriser and the dual-stroke hydraulic system are emphasised. The entire system and the one-stroke system are modelled and simulated to verify the feasibility of the dual-medium pressuriser and the dual-stroke hydraulic system. The experimental data acquired from the semi-physical test rig are analysed and validate the energy transmission strategy described in this paper.
Energy-saving Technology of Variable Counterweight and Its Energy Consumption Analyses

Abstract:To solve the disadvantages of high energy consumption and low efficiency in hydraulic lift system,an innovative energy-saving technology of variable counterweight is proposed. The energy-saving concept is given and the working principles of two kinds of variable counterweight system are introduced,namely variable hydraulic counterweight and mechanical counterweight with variable speed. And the system applying the variable hydraulic counterweight is discussed in detail,including the installed power,the energy consumption,the efficiency and the poor working condition. Compared with the conventional variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) hydraulic system,the installed power and energy consumption of the system with variable hydraulic counterweight decreases by 67% and 35% respectively,and the efficiency increases 30%,which means the system saves energy remarkably. Then the problems of the system are discussed,mainly involving efficiency,dynamic response and so on,and the solutions are presented. Finally,the development of the variable counterweight technology is prospected.

Abstract:This paper describes the basic components and characteristics of the hydraulic secondary regulation system based on the CPR(Common Pressure Rail), then primarily focuses on the application of the CPR in various industries combined with the advantages of the CPR which can recover energy and drive several loads independently rather than great interference with each other. Also the paper analyses the key technologies of the CPR including the exposition in the development process of the hydraulic transformer, the analysis in energy-saving components and constant pressure control of pumping station in the CPR, and then looks forward to the development prospects of the CPR.
