Abstract:Based on dynamic and distributed characteristic of remote sensing Integrated survey data, combined with the theory of multi-agent, built up a architecture which integrated data base with the model base and knowledge base, real- ized the core function of information management and decision-making. and brought forward a decision-making process based on this architecture. then discussed the information collection and database management, brought forward a scheme to store and manage data based on Geodatabase of ArcInfo. Some key technology of the system about agent learning and case reasoning also introduced in the article. in the end, proved its reasonability and practicality by building a prototype.

Abstract:Metadata make the spatial data more effective and have great benefits in data managing,using and sharing.The method how to design and realize land use metadata management subsystem has been especially discussed.Relationship of metadata inscape is first analyzed,then the module of managing metadata is designed and the process of designing metadata subsystem is analyzed.The XML(Extensible Markup Language) document is used as the way of organizing the content of land us metadata and the new technology XSLT(Extensible StyleSheet Language Transformations) is used to transform the document created by XML.The result is successfully integrated in the system of LanEx.The method that the paper adopted is of typical and general.

Abstract:Spatial data organization in the new generation GIS platform is a key technique. An organizing method of feature-oriented spatial data was presented, and a model of feature-oriented object level (FOOL) was proposed. Spatial partitioning, spatial clustering and spatial indexing were discussed in detail. Based on the introduction of four-tier architecture, systematic database services, application interfaces and application services were analyzed. Based on the spatial data organization and systematic architecture, the function modules with massive spatial database management for the system were designed, and also the detailed object logic relation for the modules were explained. Based on analysis for the distributed computing environment and remote spatial data processing, an example of massive spatial database platform running in Linux and Oracle was given. The testing with 20 GB spatial data validates the correctness of FOOL, which shows that the systematic main aims of feature-object spatial data organizing, integrative massive spatial data management and distributed spatial data computing are implemented.

In order to meets the requirement, a new thinking for land management pattern is put forward, and management tools of data center for integration of urban and rural areas are designed. the tools are based on GIS ,which have made the management of multi-subject, multi-area, multi-source and multi-measurement data possible. The tools have put into practice in land management and have obvious technical advantages.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the software architecture of existing GIS applications in industry,a compound architecture pattern which integrates Client/Server architecture and Browser/Server architecture is proposed so as to better meet the requirement for geospatial information sharing and make better use of geospatial resources.The compound architecture is then used to remake the system which has been used in the Land and Resources industry,called Urban Cadastral Information System,by dividing the original single-architected system into several subsystems with the GIS functionality provided by the same GIS Server.The prototype system runs well and the expected goals are achieved,which to some extent solves the problem that once the single-architected system ran into,meets the demands for sharing the geospatial information and provides new thoughts for the GIS-related applications in other industries.

Abstract:The function of fundamental spatial database is to avoid redundant collection of spatial datasets,to coordinate spatial data application,and to strengthen information resources management effectively and economically.Based on the geographic information system technology,database technology and spatial database engine technology,this paper put forward the technological framework to construct urban industrial layout fundamental spatial database.In this database,spatial database and industrial layout information database are logical disjunction but storage in the same relational database system.The data structure used in spatial data organization is Geodatabase model developed by ESRI.In the Geodatabase data model,feature dataset together with raster dataset are stored in the relational database system through spatial database engine.On the other hand,metadata database is established to benefit system management. Beyond this work,we also achieved a set of distributed database prototype system for the effective organization,management and applications of massive spatial data.This system is developed by Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Arc Engine 9.2 based on client/server structure with four modules,which are system management module,data warehousing module,query and analysis module and data management module.System management module provides the functions for user management,log management,database backup and recovery.Data warehousing module provides the functions for importing industrial information and spatial data into database,spatial data quality check,etc.Query and analysis module provides the functions for spatial query and attribute query,statistical analysis,while data management module provides the functions for data updating and sharing. With the aid of this system,data administrators can manage the industrial layout fundamental spatial database through network.Different departments and users can share their data effectively.Decision-makers for urban industrial layout can also achieve supporting information from the system.

Abstract:For the last decades, GIS software technologies have made tremendous development and applied to many special fields when their targets are relevant to geographical locations. But the basis of cartographic mapping of GIS is a restriction for more development in GIS data modelling, storage and manipulation. Recently, much attention is being paid on ORDBMS(Object Relational Database Management System) to represent and manage GIS Data. New approaches have earned acceptance in many research communities and several proposals have emerged in commercial software for solving the management and manipulation on GIS vector data. Though the storage and management of field-based model data (e. g. raster, DEM, TIN) have got less achievement and people still use files and procedural ways to manipulation field-based GIS data in common applications. In this paper a new structure model using ORDBMS technology for field-based data's storage and management was proposed on the basis of full discussion on several GIS data management technologies, then a problem-oriented approach for DEM data management and manipulation was designed and implemented through open source software systems PostgreSQL and Python language. Experimental examples of different DEM data sources were stored, managed and used by using the extended spatial database system. The experiments illustrated that this solution would be a useful supplement to spatial database and it provided an effective way to DEM data management and analysis, and support the interoperability between vector data and field data.

Abstract:This documents put forward an advanced method to manage the rapid increasing spatial data. The core idea of the proposed method is the application of GeoSOT grid. In this geo-information management system, all the spatial data are marked by one or more codes for identification and the mentioned code is simply related to the geographical attributes regardless of the other characteristics. Further, we pay attention to the agricultural service applications and the dwelling service applications, and it turned out that our management method demonstrates the advantages of the traditional methods. Because of the high efficiency and convenience of this method, its application scenario is supposed to be quite broad in the future.

Abstract:Architecture of resource-oriented WebGIS and related design methods were proposed by combining with the REST-ful Web Service and OGC open standard specification.In order to share information and interoperate,OGC specification was adopted as the service interface standard.REST was adopted to implement services,and was opened to the public in the form of resource.A Uniform interface was shared by all of the resources which transferred between the server and the client.A web-based land-use resource management prototype system which was able to publish and retrieve information from the distributed heterogeneous network environment was build to verify the architecture.Common abilities of land-use management such as querying and changing were also implemented in the system.

Abstract:Raster spatial database engine(RasSDE) is a key technique to achieve distributed query and efficient management of massive rater data. An object-oriented raster spatial data organizing model is proposed. A distributed four-tired architecture of RasSDE is designed. Database services,application interface and appli-cation services are analyzed. Core component framework and its object classes of RasSDE are discussed. MAMS V2.0 system based on RasSDE is given. The main aims of the system are to realize the object-oriented raster spatial data organization,integrative massive spatial data management and distributed spatial data computing. The comparison experiments of disk read-write and network transmission synthesized capabilities between RasSDE and ArcSDE are performed. The results show that raster data network transmission efficiency of RasSDE is higher than that of ArcSDE,and RasSDE can satisfy the demand of massive raster spatial data transfers.

Abstract:A practical spatio-temporal database (STDB) technique for dynamic urban land management is presented. One of the STDB models, the expanded model of Base State with Amendments (BSA), is selected as the basis for developing the dynamic cadastral management technique. Two approaches, the Section Fast Indexing (SFI) and the Storage Factors of Variable Granularity (SFVG), are used to improve the efficiency of the BSA model. Both spatial graphic data and attribute data, through a succinct engine, are stored in standard relational database management systems (RDBMS) for the actual implementation of the BSA model. The spatio-temporal database is divided into three interdependent sub-databases: present DB, history DB and the procedures-tracing DB. The efficiency of database operation is improved by the database connection in the bottom layer of the Microsoft SQL Server. The spatio-temporal system can be provided at a low-cost while satisfying the basic needs of urban land management in China. The approaches presented in this paper may also be of significance to countries where land patterns change frequently or to agencies where financial resources are limited.

Abstract:The development of Earth information science breaks through the category of traditional Geographic Information System (GIS), it is an inevitable trend that making an improvement on the storage and management of geographic data. Geographic data possess some features such as massive, complicated data structure, intensive operation and strong autocorrelation which make the storage and management of geographic data different from other type data. The current solutions which add a middleware on commercial DBMS to realize the middle conversion of geographic data is complex inefficient and unscalable. This paper presents a distributed geographic data storage and management architecture called as DGOSM for geographic object based on object- oriented storage, providing a new solution to storage and management of geographic data. DGOSM extends the idea of object-oriented storage and according to the object-oriented database standard ODMG3.0 which was proposed in 2000 by ODMG organization, to repartition the function of database server and storage devices. And the DGOSM support the object-oriented geographic data model on the logical layer to simplify the map of geographic data model and the parallel spatial query to improve the efficiency of geographic data query. In DGOSM, object-oriented storage opens the way for pushing more intelligence into the storage device. When geographic data is stored as geographic object, devices can learn about the behavior of the applications and use the information for improving the service they provided in the distributed software architecture.

Abstract:National oil/gas database system is built to integrate and manage the multi-sources,hete-rogeneous national oil and natural gas data together those supplying for macroscopic decision of national resources utilization.The authors design an integration model for oil/gas data that has tow-level ETL tool,build the framework of system based on SOA using Web services as basic components.It uses Oracle 11g as the background spatial database,and uses C# as programming language to implement the system based on ArcGIS Engine and ArcGIS Server in secondary development method.This system can gather,integrate,publish and share the national oil/gas data.It combines the property data with spatial data to perform a number of spatial analyzing rapidly,such as buffer analysis.It provides the scientific data support for the history analysis and the future forecast of national oil/gas resources.
