Abstract:By means of heat kernel and the approach of regularizing generalized functions,Hyers-Ulam stability of Wilson functional equation was mainly studied in the spaces of generalized functions such as the Schwartz tempered distributions,Fourier hyperfunctions and Gelfand-shilov generalized functions,showing that the result of the stability of Wilson functional equation in generalized functions is similar to that in the usual functional spaces.

Abstract:This paper discusses Hyers–Ulam stability for functional equations in single variable, including the forms of linear functional equation, nonlinear functional equation and iterative equation. Surveying many known and related results, we clarify the relations between Hyers–Ulam stability and other senses of stability such as iterative stability, continuous dependence and robust stability, which are used for functional equations. Applying results of nonlinear functional equations we give the Hyers–Ulam stability of Böttcher's equation. We also prove a general result of Hyers–Ulam stability for iterative equations.

Abstract:In this paper, the stability of some classes of linear functional differential equations was discussed by direct method, iteration method, fixed point method and open mapping theorem. It is shown that the Hyers–Ulam stability holds true for y(n)=g(t)y(t−τ)+h(t). The stability of functional differential equations with multiple delays of first order and general delay differential equations also have been discussed.

Abstract:Integral equations with infinite delay are considered as functional equations in a Banach space. Two types of Hyers–Ulam stability criteria are established. First, it is shown that a linear autonomous equation is Hyers–Ulam stable if and only if it has no characteristic value with zero real part. Second, it is proved that the Hyers–Ulam stability of a linear autonomous equation is preserved under sufficiently small nonlinear perturbations. The proofs are based on a recently developed decomposition theory of linear integral equations with infinite delay.

Abstract:We present a general method for investigation of the Hyers-Ulam stability of linear equations (differential, difference, functional, integral) of higher orders. It is shown that in many cases, that kind of stability for such equations is a consequence of a similar property of the corresponding first-order equations. Some particular examples of applications for differential, integral, difference and functional equations are described. The method is based on some fixed-point results that are proved in this paper.
