Abstract:Based on the incomplete labor market in china,we structure a myopic-search model. We show that:firstly, although employment rate under government's direct intervention is higher than the labor market equilibrium without intervention,it has a lower overall social welfare.Furthermore, the welfare level of unemployed workers without intervention is no less than that of direct intervention. Therefore, direct intervention in labor market may reduce employment rate, but it brings out overall social welfare loss, and go against the improvement of low-income workers' welfare.Secondly, policies that holdback people's free move may cause that city people occupy high wage positions, and country inhabitant can only find low wage positions. This kind of equilibrium has the lowest city people's unemployment rate, but it can't realize the lowest overall unemployment rate.
